Welcome Maci - I just joined the board in Feb and have found it a great help!!! The girls are all a font of knowledge and very supportive!!! :D Good luck with your treatment - it's funny how different countries have different methods - you're injecting the Buserlin whereas I used a sniffer! As long they all have the same POSITIVE outcome who cares! Take care xx

Sandra :D :D :D CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR GREAT NEWS!!!

Eskavon so sorry to hear about your bruising from the blood tests... that def shouldn't have happened!!! :x Take care

Sarah J - I agree with you - I found the Puregon injections very uncomfortable, was glad when that stage was over!! Don't know if my DH was just not doing it right but left a real sting afterwards. One thing that seemed to lessen the pain was by leaving the bottles out for an hour or more before the injection. Hope this helps!

Julie T - Good luck with your IVF in Barcelona in April - hope all goes well for you both!!

Hi again - I've just realised that I've missed some pages of catching up + am asking the same things twice - I'm so excited to start a June / July thread -I asked your advice Debra cos I noticed you have started most of them so I wondered if there was any system to it in terms of how long before start chatting about certain cycles - don't want to jinx anyone and no I don't think you're bossy just a bit too efficient at all this info - how on earth do you remember who's doing what + when? Anyway I'm going to start that thread now cos it'll make me feel like I'm on my way again - it's a bit like packing early for a holiday cos you just can't help yourself!

OMG Debra, what a nightmare. Have you no comeback through your estate agent/solictor ? I don't mean to sound negative, but I can't imagine these people just coughing up when a bill lands on their doormat. B******s. Have they verbally agreed this with you ?

Thanks for the well wishes Amers ! I've got to say it was quite a surprise. We've been going out for 10.5 years now, and he (Neil) was quite a bachelor at the time. One of the first things he said to me was that
1) we'd never get married 2) never live together 3) never have kids. Romantic eh ? Well - Ha ha - now he's sucumbed to all three ..

Now for the gritty details Debra .. I now remember he did casually drop something into a conversation around Christmas time about marriage, but I forgot all about it.. he must have been testing the water ! Then one morning when we were off to Havana, he had long trousers on (as he "didn't want to look like a tourist"), so I'd packed a pair of his shorts into the rucksack 'cos I knew he'd regret it later in the day. He mini-freaked when he went into the closet, as he'd noticed that the shorts weren't there. ... Anyway, I obv. didn't know at the time but he'd brought the ring over packed inside a container of talculm powder, then transfered it to the pocket of these shorts. Then when he saw the shorts weren't there, he must have thought I'd sent them for laundry or something ..! So, he was going to propose in Havana but it didn't work out, and it ended up being in the hotel room a few days later. Not the most romantic setting, but it could have been worse ! He mentioned the engagement to a Canadian couple we'd met, who were over the moon for us, and who went on to tell so many other people it got kind of embarressing ... We haven't really got a plan, nor a date yet. It will be something quiet and low key. Neither of us are religious so it will probably be a registry office. However, I've probably got about 10.5 years to plan it, so I have no doubt that you will beat me to it .. :)

Hi all

We are going for a consultation at the end of this month (new clinic) and then hopefully going for a new treatment in April - so will be joining a few of you if that's ok. It's so nice to know that I shall have some company for the dreaded 2ww - why oh why does it have to be 2 weeks :?:

Sorry to jump in. Here's loads of "baby dust" to all the March buddies and all the April buddies.

Hi girls,
Sorry i've been away for a while, been busy doing loadsa overtime at work again, i've put my foot down at work and said no more overtime from now on while i'm going through treatment. I can't believe it that by this time next monday i will have had my Prostap injection, the time is really starting to fly in now.

I can't believe how much i have to catch up on since being offline for a week. Thanks to all that gave advice about my parents, i haven't spoken to them since then so i don't know what's going on but i know for a fact that neither of them would go to a counciller about it, it just isn't them. The way i'm looking at it just now is no news is good news.

Welcome back Sandra, that's excellent news about the proposal, Congratulations. Being together 10.5 years, at least no-one can say you are rushing into it, lol. Me and Michael were like that, we did get engaged after only being together 5 months but i think it must have been the longest engagement ever, our 10 year anniversary is at the beginning of April and in May we will be celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary which is also my 30th birthday. I figured it would be easier for him to remember dates if we got married on my birthday, but him being a cheapskate see's it as a way of saving money, he reckons he only needs to buy me one present, men eh, lol.

This post will go on forever if i leave a message for you all individually, so i'll just say hi and good luck to everyone, hope you are all doing good and a big welcome to all the new joiners.
I think i'll go back over this thread and try and take in where everyone is up to, there is just so much to read now.
Take care and talk to you all soon.
Lotsa love

Michelle

Excellent news Sandra.

There are going to be quite a crowd of us all around about the same dates which will be grand; we'll be able to support each other thru the highs and lows.

Looking forward to cycling with you.

Hello All

Having stumbled across this site a couple of weeks ago and feeling like I know you all so well from your posts, I thought it was about time I stopped playing the voyeur and made a contribution!

Your stories, both positive and negative, have given me a greater understanding of what I am embarking on and I thank you all for your posts.

My clinic has provided me only with positive information and has not yet even hinted that it might not work....thanks to you guys I have been able to prepare myself mentally (as much as you can) for the possibility of a negative result....in fact, I now realise how naive I was!

I begin synarel on 22/3 and am booked in for EC on 15 April and ET on 18 April.....all going well I guess. I am looking forward to sharing this experience with so many others thru this site.

Thanks for all your help thus far, I hope I can return the favour!

Cheers

Hi All

Heather welcome to the board - there are a far few of us cycling at similar times - it is getting very hard to keep up :!:

How is everyone else? Where are we all up to - Michelle, heather and I are starting to downregg within this next week - I am sooo sorry but I am losing track and as I am at work can't read them all to catch up.

Maybe we need a new thread or a roll call Debra/Sandra (everyone) what do you think?

Getting very nervous about friday - trying to stay +ve but I know I MUST take it one stage at a time and don't think too far ahead be patient etc etc - but the nearer I get to Friday the more anixous I feel!!! Keep imaging things getting cancelled again.

Anyway got to get on
Love to All - sorry if I have missed anyone

Hi girls,
I'll try this again, was in the middle of writing my message when my computer decided to restart itself, weird.

Sandra - great news about getting a start date, i know since i got mine the time has just flown in.

Jules - i'm exactly like you, getting lost with all the posts and trying to catch up with where everyone is at. I'm also getting very nervous, the closer Monday comes the more nervous i'm getting.

Heather - welcome to the board, i'm going to be starting the day before you, i'll be getting a Prostap injection, i'm actually rather pleased about that as i've a bit of a needle phobia and this is only a one off injection that down regs you.

Maci - welcome to you also, i notice you're from Scotland aswell, which part and what clinic are you with? I live near Dumfries and i'm at Glasgow Royal. My friend Jackie is also at Glasgow Royal and had her Prostap injection this morning.

Debra - how's the side effects coming along? Hope you're feeling better.

Hi to everyone else, hope you're all ok.

Well, i can hear the kettle calling my name, so i think it's time for a cuppa.
Take care all and talk to you soon.
Lotsa love

Dear all
I've been in the same boat as Michelle, too much work and not enough time to write. But here I am now. Many thanks to all your nice notes about my blood test mishap - glad to say swelling has gone but got a beauty of a black arm!
Delly, I'm not sure when I start injections cos I've just been put on the pill and then my next appt is 7th April where they take me through stuff. EC day isn't till 9th May so I guess I'm in a holding pattern.
Debra my fsh was 9.1 so I guess thats ok - I'm still in the ignorance is bliss stage and haven't really read up on much. Really must buy Zita!
Big hellos to all new people - lots of pma to you.
Sand very happy for you getting AF, I can't believe there are so many of us all together at the same time.
OH almost forgot, went for my second acupucture on Friday and it was much better (because I knew what was coming) was very chilled Friday and over the weekend and much more relaxed at this session.
Feeling very excited and just wish we could get on with stuff, in the middle of decorating the house at the mo so that should help pass the time.
Happy thoughts to you all
Eskavon xx
