Well Harri here I am and ttc 5+ years and we have........not1, not2, not 3, but 4 doggies
They have all been rescued and come from rescue centres.
We got the first one (wooky, then 3 bearded collie/shaggy carpet mix) just after my back operation as I knew I needed motivation for exercise, and that's why we then moved to the country from London. Then we got Slim (fat boy slim, whippet/greyhound cross) rescued from Gypsies after he wasn't fit to run races anymore. Then we got spot (then called ferrari, Greyhound) and then we moved to Germany. After being here 3 months heard that the local home had German Shephard/Husky mixes with aggressive mum who had kicked them out.. and desperate for homes for them from experienced dog owners...we went to see them and came back with Anuschka, sooooooooooooooooooooooooo
All I can say is that they are wonderful company, they keep me fit and laughing, they are fantastic with kids (that takes seriuos training) and I love them to bits. Yes tyhey are my substitute babies, of course they are, but they are also the reason that we have a healthy lifestyle and that I manage to keep my depression at bay..........a walk on the beach but never alone..going for a walk without dh is a "Ben Hur" experience!!!
I'll send you a piccy if you like??
Love from germany bigJ
