Still no new about my lone little embie, but of course it's only 10 AM. You must be so excited to get started, Sandy! I forget, how many times have you already tried IVF? This will hopefully be the
last time–we’ll all send happy thoughts your way. Debra and Tracii, hang in there during these tense few days. Five mature eggs actually sounds really GOOD, so think positively! Tracii, it sounds like it’s been a horrible few days, especially with the ovulation scare, but the good news is that it didn’t happen and you’re still on. Is Sunday EC day, or just a blood check and ultrasound? Wow, things are finally happening with this group–lots of drama, but thankfully lots of support (and even more hopefully lots of success

).
By the way, Debra, the reason for my early appointment is that my doctor has two offices. I like to go the “second” office in downtown Chicago, which though closer is not as well staffed. They do all routine lab, ultrasound, and surgical procedures early in the morning, so all of my IVF appointments have been at this time. If I wanted to drive an hour each way I could have had more normal hours. But actually, come to think of it, when I went through an IUI in Pennsylvania last October, all the monitoring appointments were also very early--they might do this to accomodate working women. Anyways, my sleep cycle has been turned upside down since I’m naturally nocturnal and without the pressure of work (I’m on a sabbatical), I had been going to bed very late before this got started. Good prep, I guess, for a baby, which I’ve heard means lots of sleep deprivation.
