Stay positive and if you feel it's the right test for you then yes it is worth spending the money. I would definitely ask your Dr what his/her views are on the test and see whether they recommend it given your own personal circumstances.
Hi Little P
If you are also at the ARGC you will understand why I don't have a definate schedule!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are vague to ay the least. Next step is some blood tests to see if the humira is helping to bring down my NK cells on monday!.
Hey little p, thought I would just butt in and see how things are going.... You know I wish you all the best in the world, but like you say at least you know more now things will soon get moving for you.
Good luck! hugs as always x x

I must say I have read lots of your threads and they are really inspiring and congratulations on your pregancy i am really happy for you.
I wonder if you could help me please? I am just starting treatment at the ARGC. Sadly I have had an unsucessful cycle at another clinic (responded well through out the whole treatment but it ended as a chemical pregnancy). Do you think I should ask for tests on NKC before going ahead with Embroy transfer?
Any help or advice from anyone would be greatfully recieved.
Have you had your first appointment with the ARGC yet? If so, did you hand them the notes from your previous hospital?
I had had treatment elsewhere too and provided Mr T with all my other hospital's notes to help with my history.
The reason I was told about NK cells is that I have a history of excellent embryos and either early m/c or no implantation - Mr T felt that it was definitely worth investigating before starting a treatment cycle due to the quality of the embryos.
If you want to have the tests, then I would strongly recommend talking to them about it and saying that you have heard about the NK cells and was wondering whether you would benefit from the investigations being done on yourself.
Fingers crossed for you - they are a fantastic hospital and have been really good to me all the way through.
Many thanks for coming back to me. we have had our first consultation with the ARGC using all of our notes etc from the first cycle and are ready to complete an FET in Oct/Nov (However this may result a Hysteroscopy first dependant on scans).
Our first unsuccessful treatment showed no real reason for the chemical pregnancy (good response, good embyro's etc) and having read a fair amount about NK it is one area that I would like to be aware of as I enter the next cycle so we will definatly be asking about it. They may say that one failed cycle isn't enough but I think I would rather know first.
The ARGC is fairly hectic to say the least but they strike me as being very thorough and they will leave no stone unturned which is reassuring.
I am trying my best to remain positive but i do have my down days as there is always that worry that it won't work. did you ever feel like that?
However today is a postive day so I am trying to keep it that way!
Did you follow any specific diet/vitamins etc? I am currently taking Zita West's vitamins and eating healthy but any pearls of wisdom are greatly received!
How much longer do you have to go? And do you know what you are having yet? Very excited for you.
