Okay, this isn't really a stupid thing, but kind of a sweet thing that DH's coworker said to him. Background: I am going in for a C-section on Monday so our FET twins can be delivered. Evidently, DH was not too specific with his work friends about where the twins came from.
His coworker pulled him aside last week to let him know that after a C-section, you can have the tubes tied to prevent future pregnancies. But apparently in California, you need to sign the papers for that at least three days in advance.
My husband smiled and thanked him, but explained that that is one problem we won't have. My treatment included removing the tubes altogether before we even started IVF. His coworker said "So that's how you got twins - you cheated!" DH then explained that it isn't really the easier, softer way to get twins.
It gave us both a good laugh.

Sorry but the best one came from Nicki if i'm not mistaken (please correct it if i'm wrong!)
She was telling friends they were going for DI and one of them asked her if her dh was having sperm injected in his testicles and then have sex with her!?!?!?
Some people really are so innocent and niave (sorry thats spelt wrong but you know what i mean)
I went to the Doctor the other day about my very poorly toe and i said about the treatment and he said to me 'i know i'm a Doctor but what is ICSI,' and i had to tell him all about it....
All those years at uni and he knows nothing!!!!!!!!!

DOCTORS CAN BE WORSE THAN FAMILY. WHEN WE FOUND OUT OUR LITTLE GIRL HAD DIED AT 14 WEEKS PG, OUR DOCTOR SAID ,LIFE IS LIKE A FRUIT MACHINE, ONE DAY YOU,LL HIT THE JACKPOT, HE IS THE SAME DOCTOR WHO TOLD US A YEAR LATER ,WHEN WE HAD AN ECTOPIC, YOU KNOW YOUR EGGS AREN,T AS GOOD AS THEY USE TO BE. WELL PARDON ME FOR BEING 42 YEARS OLD AT THE TIME, MAYBE I SHOULD HAVE STAYED IN A FRIDGE FOR A FEW YEARS TO KEEP THEM FRESH.
BOTH MY HUBBY AND I WERE TOO SHOCKED AT MR CHANDLERS COMMENTS TO SAY ANYTHING, BUT HES NOT KNOWN FOR HIS TACT AT DONCASTER ROYAL , WHEN WE HAD OUR FIRST M/C HE TOLD US TO GO HOME AND TRY AGAIN. WE DID AND IT WENT WRONG AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN, WE THEN GOT LOADS OF BOOKS OUT OF OUR LIBRARY AND READ UP ON RECURRENT M/C. WE FOUND OUT CHROMMOSONE TESTS SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE,AND LOTS OF OTHER BLOOD TESTS, NON OF WHICH HE,D BOTHERED TO MENTION. WE THEN ASKED TO BE REFERED TO THE RECURRENT M/C CLINIC IN LONDON,AS AT THIS POINT WE,D M/C 8 TIMES, HE REFUSED SO WE WENT TO SEE OUR G.P.AND PLEADED WITH HIM TO REFER US, HE WAS CONFUSED AS TO WHY WE WANTED TO GO TO LONDON AS THERE IS A RECURRENT M/C CLINIC IN SHEFFIELD, ONLY 20 MILES FROM US INSTEAD OF 160 MILES, MR CHANDLER HADN,T EVEN BOTHERED TO TELL US THAT, WE WENT TO SHEFFIELD TO SEE A LOVELY DOCTOR , MR T C LEE, WHO KNOWS ALOT ABOUT THIS SUBJECT AND GOES ON COURSES EVERY 6 MONTHS. HE DID LOTS OF TESTS. ADMITED ME TO HOSPITAL ,AND HAD A NOSY INSIDE OF ME(BRAVE MAN) AND WHEN I CAME ROUND EAGER FOR NEWS OF WHAT THEY COULD DO TO HELP. HE WAS AS UPSET AS US ,WHEN HE HAD TO TELL US THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG. IT WAS JUST BAD LUCK. WE,VE NOW LOST 14 AND HAVE GIVEN UP. WE CANT TAKE ANYMORE HEARTACHE. ADOPTION OR SURROGACY WILL BE THE WAY FORWARD FOR US ,I FEAR , I,D BE TOO SCARED TO EVEN ATTEMPT I V F. SO WE.LL HAVE TO SEE WHAT THE FUTURE WILL BRING.
could you have compramised cervics ?
sorry if not spelled right
i will try and find out the correct spelling.
that is what i have.. but very badly..
that is why i have mc every time..
they say it takes a few mc to find out cause there is no test for it..
but there is things that they can do..
for me it was because of all the abuse that i had at such a young age.
so my insides are just to weak.. there had been alot of damage..
but they can sew up your utaress and that well keep the embie in..
my doc said that i would have about a 10% percent chance of carring full turm
if i had a skin graff done and had that sown to close me up..
with these prosedures you have to have a c-section..
i hope this makes a little sence..
i am sorry that my spelling is so bad..
i also posted on your thred on bany losss
THAT WAS ONE OF THE THINGS MR LEE CHECKED FOR, AND SAID THAT IT WASN,T A PROBLEM, I,M JUST ONE OF THE MANY PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO HAVE UNEXPLAINED PROBLEMS,
I KNOW ITS WHERE I,M GOING IN ABOUT 30 SECONDS, I DIDN,T REALISE IT WAS SO LATE, UNTIL I REALISED IT WAS GETTING LIGHT, I,LL HOPEFULLY CATCH YOU LATER,, NIGHT NIGHT HEATHER
