Hello all!

I see we have some new people joining us! Welcome!!!! :D

Well I think it is finally starting to sink in. We had our scan this morning and everything looked great. We have one little bean baby. It's amazing that it will turn into a baby. We got to see the heartbeat as well which was 102. Since I was not having really any signs of pregnancy except breast tenderness I was convinced it was all a mistake. I have to go back in two weeks for another scan with my IVF doctor and then I can start seeing my regular OBGYN.

I think the funniest thing is my DH. He is so different about pregnancy now that I am pregnant. Before he never wanted to know the sex, etc. Now he can't wait to find out the sex and he said he wishes the baby was coming today. I was like hold on...... We are so not prepared YET! It was really funny!

Again, congrats to all the newcomers and welcome! I look forward to chatting with everyone.

Welcome Big J
Congrats on the BFP, and isn't it great to move over to the other side, but I must admit I still feel guilty posting on the general forum as there are people on there who are still raw from they're BFN results.
You get to have a scan 2 days before me, you're so lucky! You'll see you're triplets before I see my twins
I thought you'd get your BFP, coz your symptoms sounded so much like mine.
Mil - Good news about the scan

Susie:
I agree with you about the general forum now. I also feel guilty so I stopped posting there. I do visit and like to see how everyone is doing but I would hate to make anyone feel bad. :( I am the type of person that I never was angry at anyone else when they found out they were pregnant. I was only angry that I wasn't but not at them. So I am sure everyone on the general forum that did get a BFN understands. At least I hope so! It sucks you have to wait all the way till June 9th for your first scan!

Hello All,

Another Mayflower joins in. I had my 14-day HCG level test today. It confirmed I had BFP. For those of you who do not know, I had to go on Day 11 because my stomach blew up like a balloon and I was worried - didn't know what was going on. The Doctor requested a pregnancy test and it was BFP. Three days later and the HCG is rising nicely. Of course I am still nervous and will feel better when I see the heartbeat - WOW.

Sher8:
Welcome! Glad we have another Mayflower join us. Everyone here has been nice & sweet. Sorry to hear about your stomach. That happened to a friend of mine but she didn't have as good of results. She ended up in the hospital for 3 days. She went ahead and did her transfer but she got a BFN. She does have some frosties to try again. Did they ever tell you why it happened to your stomach?

So when do you get to go for your first scan? It is so exciting. I'm sure you are just dying. I know I was!

This is for everyone! I have a couple website that I have found very useful & helpful!

http://www.betabase.info/index.php
I love this website to see what other women's HCG levels are and compare mine. I know some of you have already used this. But thought I would share for the new ladies.

http://www.babyfit.com/
This is my favorite. You put in your personal info and it keeps track of everything. I track my meals everyday and it tells me what areas I'm lacking in.

Hope everyone is doing well!!!!

Thanks for the web links Mil. Still learning all this HCG stuff.

Well, my tummy bloating was a good sign. It started to happen about a week after the transfer. The Doc told me that it was a sign that I could be pregnant because all the hormones are elevated. Didn't want to get my hopes up until the actual test this week. They said my tummy will remain bloated for a couple of weeks and it is the trade off of becoming pregnant. I say, whatever it takes!! :D

Hello Mayflowers. I think I'll join in too. I was one of the early BFP's on the May 05 test board. I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one who had mixed feelings about posting on the general board. I am so happy for everyone and their BFP's and my heart aches for those who got BFN's.

We just had our scan yesterday. We had 2 embies put in and one decided to stay. So we are thrilled that we saw a strong little heartbeat - we even got to hear it! I am so amazed at this whole process.

Katy - you and I have the same due dates, January 11, 2006.

Congrat's to all of the BFP Mayflowers! It's nice to know there's a good group to share this journey with.

Good morning ladies

apart from this and the 40+ thread this board is quiet isn't it?? I suppose they are all putting their feet up  and nurturing their big bumps

so nice to see so many Mayflowers over here - was a good month wasn't it??? I did notice that when you look at the list the pg rate is around 40%+++ which is very good especially when you think some of us are really hard cases.....

I am still posting on the general forum. I feel I have a lot of support to offer the girls there and although I will be very careful about what and how I post, I think it's important to give some +ve motivation and show that it can work. I had a nervous breakdown because of infertility in 2003 and was ill for more than a year. I still found the +ve input of ladies who had made it very supportive. What I couldn't stand were people who got pg naturally (like my sister who's only 2 years younger and has no signs of POF) who said the most insensitive things. When I was on the general, I was too scared to come over here and see what was going on. I think it's especially helpful to offer support on the 2ww and test threads, the tmt threads in case there are questions where your experience can help. Don't be scared girls, I am sure the other girls will welcome your input.

I am so jealous of you all and your scans!!! I wish we could do another beta test and make sure it's still there   does anyone else feel like that?????

Thanks Mil for the weblinks they are brilliant!!
Thanks for the due date Alette and Jude (31st Jan or 1st Feb who cares it'll be snowing anyway  )

off to the beach this afternoon.... 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Hi Big J

It has been a good month for Mayflowers hasnt it? Some of us (myself and Minnow I think) were not even on the list for testing, so that should even increase the odds!
Im glad you feel you can still post on the general forum to support everyone. I have been posting there as well, but I am very conscious of what I am saying and sometimes wonder if I should remove my 'signature' so it doesnt show that I am pregnant. However, I then think surely it does some good because people realise that it can work and that it hopefully will work one day for them.
I know what you mean about wanting to do another beta test! I kept doing HPT's at least once a week to reassure myself, worrying when I wasnt getting symptoms etc. In some ways waiting for my scan was worse than the 2ww (I think because I spent the first week of that recovering from EC so it went quicker). At least with this wait you do get reassurances like the symptoms (wait till the nausea kicks in) and you can do HPT without being told off!! Take care and enjoy!
Love Kim.

Welcome Joy and congrats on your BFP Yet another Mayflower :D
When is your scan? Is it at 6 or 7 weeks?
I have very few symptoms at the mo, so I'm wondering am I really pg (I didnt have any symptoms last time tho at this point) I just want my scan.
I wont post on the general board much as I feel I have very little advice to offer. I am pg for the 2nd time after 2 attempts and i've never experienced a -ive result. I never tried to concieve as I married a bloke who had a vasectomy and I started ICSI treatment at 25 on the basis it would probably work when I was 30 which is when I wanted to start my family. I was shocked when it worked straight away as I didnt really want my family so soon. I'm glad I did now, but I defineately dont fit on alot of threads on the general board
Hope everyone else is OK feeling tired sick and whatever other symptoms you want.
