Hi Susie,
Congrats to you. I am having my first scan in about 2 1/2 weeks.
I know what you mean about it not feeling real. It still doesn't seem real to me, but my pants that don't fit and my chest that hurts is telling me other wise. I can't wait to see that heart beat I think I may lose all emotion and just cry my eyes out.
Oh who am I kidding I cry over everything right now.
Love
Joy

Hi Girls!

Sorry I haven't been around for a while!! Still trying to get used to things!
Bigj - I so feel the same as you! Wish I could have non-stop blood tests up to my scan to make sure!!! I keep analysing every twinge, so paranoid! What date is your scan?
Mil + TJ - Congratulations on your scans! It must be so amazing to see the heat beating away! When will you have your next ones?
Joy - I am with you on the crying! Those tears do seem to keep creeping up!
And congratulations to all the new BFP's! Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Well, it's getting nearer, but still 2 weeks until my scan! I was feeling so relaxed and happy in the first week, now I am turning into a nervous wreck!! Is anyone else feeling the same? I almost wish I could ask for my scan to be earlier, as I'll be 8 weeks when I have my scan, but also really want to do what the hospital want - guess I'll have to try and stay patient!

Well lots of luck to all your scans coming up!
Love Kelly xx

Hi everyone

Hope you are all doing ok and the UK girls enjoying the bank holiday weekend.
Congratulations Joy on your BFP and welcome to the board!
Ive just been out doing some (light) gardening and cannot believe how tired I feel. Ive hardly done anything all day, dont know how ill cope going back to work tommorrow. Nausea is also creeping up on me more often, even when ive just eaten. Can cope as long as it continues like it is and I dont start actually been sick all the time.
Is anyone else having trouble sleeping? I normally sleep really well and the last couple of nights have been really uncomfortable. I have to wear a bra in bed otherwise its far too painful!! I have to say, please dont think Im complaining, strangely enough, I do enjoy these symptoms!! (and obviously like talking about them!) DH thinks Im mad.

Kelly and Joy- hope the time flies by for your scans. I know its hard waiting.

love Kim.

Wow alot of news since I last logged on.

It's great to hear about everyone's scans - it must be a truly special moment. I can't wait for ours on Thursday 2nd June - I'll be just over 7 weeks and am dying to know whether we are having one or two.

For those of you who still can't believe that you're PG I'm with you on that one. I was at my GP this morning for another sickline as right knee still a problem and still can't walk properly and he was asking me if I felt pregnant. I probably sounded a bit dittzy when I replied but other than being absolutely exhausted and having to get up 2-3 time at night to wee I don't feel anything different. Oh I am also having a huge need for stodgy carbohyrates like rice, potatoes and pasta which I have never really eaten alot of. It's just as well I'm not at work at the moment as I think I'd be needing frequent power naps!!

It is so exciting being part of this thread and being able to share everything with you guys. A friend of mine who has 2 kids looks at me like I'm daft when I mention that I'm already having little signs of PG. I don't think you are as aware of your body if you get PG normally but because of what we all have gone through to achieve our dreams I'm sure we're extra specially tuned in to what's going on!!!!!!!!

I hope you are all keeping well and enjoying your pregnancies.

Bye for now,

I am at 2 1/2 weeks since ET on 5/13/05. HCG levels looked fine on day 14. My stomach is starting to get back to normal and the bloating is much less. I felt very good yesterday. Planted flowers and worked in the garden. At the end of the day, my lower back did have quite a bit of pain. I do have to say that I am worried because I feel so much better these days - no extreme signs of pregnancy. My first ultrasound is at 5 weeks so I have about 2 1/2 weeks to go. My swollen breasts give me reassurance, but I am feeling pretty good. Just going a little crazy over here and thanks for letting me vent.

Hello ladies! I'm back after the long holiday in the states. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

I see we have several newbies (T.J. & princess). :D Congrats on your BFPs. It's so wonderful. I feel for all you ladies who are still waiting for your 1st scan. I was lucky enough to have mine at 6w. I get another one at 8w and again at 10w. I see a lot of you talk about just wanting the scan so you know there is really something there. I totally agree with you. That is exactly how we felt. It was even worse because I wasn't feeling anything. It was so wonderful to see the little bean. :) I just cried and cried.

Is there anyone on this thread that is having twins? We really wanted twins since we don't have any frosties but we are so happy with 1. We are just excited that it worked.

At least I can feel a little more at ease since some of you did not feel anything. I have just felt so good the last couple of days that it kinda makes me worry that everything is ok. Now doesn't that sound wierd!?!?

Dont worry, I did another HPT today to check I am still really pg.
I am hoping I dont get twins, just one, coz I've got a DD already, and I havent got room in the house for 2 more so would have to move. When I was pg with DD tho I was praying it would be more than one coz you only have to go thru treatment once, but believe me having a baby is such hard work and both physically and emotionally tiring that you'll be glad you only got one.
9 days til my scan

Hi everyone

Hope you are all doing ok. Having more AF type pains today, not really cramping but that sort of AF sensation.Hoping its just stretching\growing more! I do get small waves of nausea sometimes with it so hope thats a good sign. Also feel more bloated.

I hope ive got this right-its quite hard to keep up with everyone re dates for blood tests\scans.
Good luck to Big J and Joy on their blood tests tommorrow.
Good luck to Maci on your first scan tommorrow and also Katylark-hope your 2nd scan today went ok. Sorry if ive missed anyone out or got your dates muddled up!

Take care
Love Kim.

Kim,
Thank you for your kind thoughts. I'm impressed as I have not quite gotten into the swing of this thread yet but I'll get there!

Funny you should mention about bloating and AF sensation as I have had similar experience on and off yesterday and today. It isn't like a true AF feeling I'm just aware of a sort of ache.

I hope you have a good day.

Hello ladies! I hope everyone is feeling fine. 8) I am really starting to feel the effects of being pregnant. I have been having bouts of nausea off & on for the past several days. I am also having a really hard time with eating. I am ALWAYS hungry. Is this happening to anyone else? I will eat and still feel hungry. I try to eat fruit for snacks but it is just not holding me over until my next meal. I'm not really sure what to do. Also, things will sound really good to eat but when I go to eat them it just YUCK! It is very frustrating. :x

Can't wait to hear how everyone is doing!

Mil,

Hi Girls.

Mil - I'm experiencing some of what you are. At the moment I am not nauseated but am absolutely with you on the eating front. I said in one of my earlier posts that I can't get enough pasta and rice and no sooner have I finished one meal I'm ready for the next. At this rate I will be the size of a tractor before I'm even half way! I too am trying to eat healthy snacks but sometimes it's really hard so I just go with the flow. I hadn't eaten any chocolate since Feb this year so I recken that a wee bit now is ok. Everything in moderation is a fine motto to live life by!

Had my 7 week scan today and........................TWINS. We still haven't recovered from the shock of actually being PG so this news is a double whammy. Brilliant but scary at the same time. I know it's early days yet but it was so wonderful to see them on the screen and their wee hearts beating so strong. We have 3 lovely pictures to stare at and help it all sink in.

My mind has already run away with me and I'm thinking car seats, double buggy, 2 cots...............................................is the car big enough, is the house big enough, is my abdomen going to be big enough, am I going to retain any pelvic floor function after the birth............

I'm off to sit down now and try and let it all sink in. Actually I might browse Amazon and see what books there are on surviving with twins first.

Hope everyone else is having a good day. I'll catch up with your news as it's posted.

Bye for now

Maci

I have just read your news and had to jump in and say

CONGRATULATIONS

Twins, what a wonderful surprise - after everything you went through in the 2ww this is just fabulous news to hear. Well done you.

I hope that one day soon I can come here and share my own good news, but until then just wanted to wish you all more congrats and good luck with the pregnancies.
