Get one of those large plastic raincoats...

I remember what it was like when i had no car... Could just about eat anything it wouldn't affect my weight!

Maybe you could start walking to work everyday? I really wish i could but 10 km is a long way to walk

Joining this late but excellent thread.

On the good side: I drunk my 2 litres of water; had 2 cups of organic green tea (am cutting down ‘normal’ tea to just 2 cups/day).
Snacked on almonds and dried cranberries; ate 2 bananas, 2 peaches and 1 pear, plus some muesli.
Dinner tonight will be chicken and some summer berries

On the bad side: 1 choc chip and 1 cinnamon bagel (but not too bad as still low-fat?) and ate a few biscuits that a supplier sent.

No exercise (I never seem to have time) but I have a brisk 15 min walk from tube to work and pounded Oxford Street for 30 mins at lunchtime!

Rita, I assume that was a 60 minute walk not 60 miles - lol!

Dancola, welcome. We've only just started, you're just in time! The joys of the thread rules are that we don't post negatives or beat ourselves up over 'naughties/treats' etc. Hooray!! we only tell each other 2 healthy things we've done all day.

I've not done much today admittedly:

1. salad, bread + water for lunch
2. slow 40mins walking then an hour's gardening.

Want to be good like everyone else - want to go to the gym but my throat is sore- I was also going to weigh myself at the gym :!: :!: If I stay home I will eat and eat and eat

On the good side I have defiantly had enough water (to ease my throat so cheating a bit :!: )

I had home made rissotto for lunch left over from last night and fruit - had no chocolate since forever (well feels like that - must be at least a week)

Ahhh yes 60min walk for Rita :?: I meant to ask but forgot - thought 60miles was a long way :!: :!:

Well done everyone else

2) Salad for lunch with mackerel (didn't think I'd like it but it was really nice and full of Omega goodies!!!!)

Will walk with dh this evening and doggies and then come back and have bbq (with only salmon and lean chicken though..... :!: :!: )

Well a little bit dishearted weighed myself and only lost one pound. I know I should be pleased better than staying the same or worst gaining but I have been SO good and stuck to my weight watchers points and been to the gym.

Never mind I must continue to be good

GOOD THINGS

1. Drank lots (mostly to ease throat - which seems a bit better)
2. Ate strawberries
3. went to the gym - did less than a normal tuesday - BUT better than not going

Hope everyone else had a good heathly day - lots of walking seems to be todays theme

Debra - did you get a pedometer :?:

Jules, excellent work!!!! They say the perfect weight loss is 1 pound a week. Anymore and it's probably stress or water etc and will bounce straight back on. One pound is ideal, well done! Wish I'd lost one pound.... :(

I guess, given I've made such a big fuss about tomorrow being my kick-off date, I should weigh myself in the morning and actually try to be healthy LOL! There are LOADS of things I could do to help. Walk in all my spare time (I work part time so have no excuse), at least start to work on my upper arms with summer round the corner. I could even walk up and down my stairs 50 times a day, boring as h*ll but better than nothing, and free! My goal will be 3kgs/7lbs over the next 8 weeks until tmt begins. I've a long holiday in there too so it will be tough but I can do it! More importantly, I'll include some exercise every day, even if it's only sit-ups in the living room.

I've asked my parents to bring a pedometer over with them on Friday. I plan to drag them for walks in our lovely woods so will be testing it out over the weekend I hope. I also hope that if I'm wearing it, I'll be tempted to stand and walk around whist I teach vs. sit on my ever-widening bum!!

Sorry to waffle on so. Me, me, me....boring! How's everyone doing today?

Afternoon everyone

Yesterday

ciggies-0 (gave up about 2 months ago, never a heavy smoker, but now on biggest anti smoking rampage recorded in history!!)

Alcohol-0 units

caffeine-0!!!! (I think this has been my biggest victory)

Lunchtime- a salad that I believe even a horse wouldn´t be able to finish!

Dinner-low fat home made spaghetti bol ?? My weight in strawberries for pud

My Positive thought for the day- All this virtuous behaviour, especially the no smoking, no alcohol and no caffeine should finally rid me of my long standing cellulite!

Everyone is doing so well :D

Debra - I know I should be pleased with a 1llb - I am sticking with it, thanks for the support.

I am currently drinking blackcurrant tea (no caffeine :!: ) and have resisted the chocolates that someone bought into work today :D

Finally....some activity, albeit no sweating yet.

I walked for 40mins, did lots of housework, cleaned the windows, gardened gently for an hour (= I pruned standing still lol) + ate quite well today.....a good start to June.

How did you guys do?

Debra.
