It is a funny feeling joining "the other side" isn't it? I hope your OHSS is settling down now. I too had OHSS but not as bad as you. My left ovary is still enlarged and giving me jip from time to time but settling down, thank goodness.
I bet you can't wait for your scan - it is a truly amazing and emotional moment.
Hi to everyone else. Hope you are all coping with the rollercoaster effect of symptoms.
Hello ladies! I hope everyone had a nice weekend. Mine was okay. Having lots and lots of nausea still and I can't get enough sleep and I am ALWAYS hungry. I am trying not to complain because we want this really bad but man this stuff really sucks. I hope the next 5 1/2w fly.
Kim: Sorry to hear about your scare. I have also had some pains but my doctor warned me that I would probably feel some since my ovaries are still enlarged. So I try not to worry too much if I feel any pains. I agree though the worry never ends. I too woke up this weekend with no sore boobs. I thought the exact same thing. What if something is wrong.... From what I have read from other women who have gone through this, you never stop until the baby is born. So I guess there is no immediate end insight for us.
Suz: Welcome & congrats on the BFP. Also, glad you are feeling better. The first scan is the most amazing thing. It does give you a small amount of relief but the worrying never stops.

Hello again! I know at one point or another we have all talked about miscarriage or how much we are worried. I found this great website that talks about it and give statistics (6-12 weeks 5% or less if heartbeat heard). I found it helpful to read the section on Pregnant & Worried (When You're Okay & Myths). I hope this might comfort some of you. I know it made me feel a little better.
Im feeling more nauseous now, even when ive eaten (I always felt it on an empty stomach before). Im also really tired some days-had to go to bed yesterday afternoon and I hadnt done anything all day! I am welcoming the symptoms at the moment. My 2nd scan is coming up on thursday and am now convincing myself it wont be developing as it should. (I think because she said it was small and the dates she measured were a week behind mine-although my gestational sac was 12.1mm and on website info it should be 10mm at 6 wks so im wondering if my dates are right!) Anyway, have to keep reminding myself re the 3% risk when a heartbeat is seen and my symptoms increasing. Sorry for whittering!
Suz - Congratulations on your BFP and welcome to the board. Hope your OHSS symptoms are improving and you are feeling better.
T.J - I think the 2nd trimester starts at 12 weeks, so hopefully you might get some relief from your symptoms then. (I think the HCG levels start to drop after 12\13 wks? so this is why the nausea etc can improve).
Joy - Poor you having to wait until 20th June for your scan! How many weeks will you be by then?
Mil - That website is great. I cant believe 75% of pregnancies miscarry in the first 1-2 weeks! No wonder its so hard to get pregnant. The myths were v.informative as well.
Hope everyone else is coping ok and enjoying their pregnancies.
Take care
Love Kim

Hope everyone is doing ok today? Nausea has been kicking in more and more lately, but so welcome any symptoms as I panic when they go!! Really need to hold on to the image in my head of our little Jellybean! I couldn't do anything for the whole day yesterday, literally lay in bed feeling very sicky, but had a lovely surprise as DH was meant to be at a meeting all day and heard the door go at 11am as it had been cancelled! So was a lovely day even with the sicky feeling!!
Kim - Good luck with your scan on Thursday! It's so hard for us not to worry, but I have read so many posts from people saying they never measured exactly right at one single scan and everything just fine! Your measurements sound right to me too from the info I have been reading. Good luck!
Sher - Thanks for your help - you are right, I so want to enjoy this pregnancy, just think up something to worry about all the time! Good luck with your scan next Friday!
Suz - Welcome and congratulations to you! Sorry to hear about your OHSS, hope you are feeling lots better now. Good luck with your scan next week!
Hi to everyone else too!
Can't wait for my 2nd scan next week - how can make the time go quicker????!!!!!
Love Kel xx
OK, I think I might be a little clueless here but was wondering how you all determine how many weeks pregnant you are with IVF? I have been counting since the ET, but I think that is wrong.
Thanks,
Sher

There is a pregnancy calculator on this website (under resources). However, when I had my scan they thought I was a week behind what I had worked out, so Im completely confused! Im not sure if there may also be a difference because some embryos implant later?

Thanks, this is what my doc wrote back to me today.
"Go back two weeks before your embryo transfer and then count forward. The reason we add two weeks is that pregnancies are dated by the "last menstrual period" assuming that your last period started two weeks before ovulation."
I am six weeks pregnant. Wow and I thought only 4!

Hello ladies! I hope everyone is doing fine and excited for their scans..... My 2nd scan is next week and I can't wait.
I have noticed a lot of you talking about the baby measuring smaller etc. Something to remember which my doctor pointed out to me. The day you have your transfer is not necessarily the day the embryo will "latch on". It can sometimes take several days. So even though I had my transfer on the 5/4/05 my baby measured that he/she "latched on" on 5/5/05. I hope that makes sense.
Glad people found the website helpful. I really felt much much better after ready the facts & myths. Especially about sex and that a little blood after sex is OKAY!!!! That was a huge relief to me. My DH always tells me I read too much but I think he was glad I found that website. He even joked that he was finally glad I found the website he created so he can have sex again....
well they are still iffy about my pregnancy due to the HCG levels.
My first one was 166 that was BFP day.
next one was June 1st that was 467
the last one was yesterday June 6 and it was 1248.
They are saying it is borderline and I am going for an U/S Monday,
I am very nervous about it.

Wishing you luck on Monday. Stay positive. I have heard many having lower hcg levels and everything being ok. It appears to be rising and that is a good thing.
Hang in there,
