Thanks Minnow

I can't believe how much fluid one person can take - mind you I don't think it's hanging around for long judging by the visits to the loo.

Anyway, I'm hoping and praying very hard that I will be able to join you here very, very soon - everything is tightly crossed :D

Wishing you all loads of Baby Bumps

Hi, hope you're all doing OK.
Joy I had 1 blood test 2 weeks after ET and only got a +ive or -ive result no numbers. If you were at my clinic all you would know is that you were pg and not have all the worry you've got now, so forget the numbers and keep up the PMA!
I have my first scan 2moz and am really nervous I just hope I get there and theres something there. I have this awful feeling they are gonna scan me and say theres nothing there! Crazy I know but I wanna see it. After my scan I think I'll tell evry1 then about being pg, but at the mo I'm a bit cautious, also my clothes are really tight so cant wait to get out my maternity clothes! instead of squeezing into my jeans.
I still feel tired and sick alot, but worry when I dont, but I know my sickness is only gonna get a lot worse coz thats wot happened last time. At 8 weeks my nausea got so bad I couldn't leave my bed for days.
Anyway happy pregnancy to all

Hello everyone

Susie - Good luck with your scan tommorrow, it is a nerve racking feeling just before isnt it? Im having my 2nd tommorrow, Im glad ive got company-nearly everyone else are having theirs next week! Ive also just read your comment on your last pregnancy and nausea been really bad at 8 wks! Im around that time now-thought I was doing not too bad with nausea until I read your comment! It will probably kick in now (It has gradually got worse but still manageable!)

Minnow - I know nausea is a good sign but I am sorry you are having a hard time with it. Hope it calms down soon so you can enjoy your early pregnancy more.

Mil - Thanks for the info on embryos 'latching' on. I surpose when they are put back after 2 days and not at blastocyst stage then it is also too early to implant. Anyway, if things ok tommorrow I will hopefully get more idea of dates.

Kel - Thanks also for your reassurances on the measurements. As I say, I will hopefully find out more tommorrow.

Joy - I can completely sympathise with what you are going through with your HCG levels. As Susie says if you had been at her clinic, you wouldnt know.(Also, if it was a natural conception you would never know as you would have just done HPT). Just remember what was said in your post on low hcg levels and especially Jen f's story and remember your levels are still going up. Good luck-I will be thinking of you.

Hope everyone else is doing ok!

Love Kim

I hate the stress of knowing about the stupid numbers.
DH thinks it's better the more we know.
I will be going for an U/S on Monday I am praying so hard that my little angel will be there.

Hi Everyone

Just had my 2nd scan. The difference in 2 weeks is amazing! I can actually see a baby now! She was even pointing out parts of limbs to me! I was right with my dates-8wks 3 dys. EDD is 17\1\06-2 dys later than I had worked out-I think they go from ET date not EC date.
Thats it now, im signed off from the clinic and have to contact my GP.
Out in the big wide world-quite a scary prospect when you are so used to been monitored so closely.
Hope everyone else is ok and that your scan went well today Susie.
Take care
Love Kim.

Hello ladies!

Kim:
Glad to hear your scan went well. I am so excited for my next scan. It was suppose to be tomorrow but my doctor won't be in and she does her own scans. So I have to wait until Tuesday. :( I have a journal on how the baby develops each day and I read it each night before I go to bed. So I'm really excited to see what it looks like. I'm sure it was amazing. :)

Joy:
Hopefully everything is fine and you did all this worrying for nothing. I have read that you can't always rely on your HCG levels. Some women just have low ones. Let hope and pray that is your case. It is still a good sign since they did rise each time. :)

Good luck girls who are getting scanned today. Can't wait to hear how the babies look.

Had my scan today and all went well. There is just one with a good strong heartbeat and you could see the baby moving. I'm really pleased now. I've been let out from my clinic too and am back on the NHS, so my next scan should be at 20 weeks, but I'm gonna pay and get a nuchal scan I think
Anyway good luck to all

Congratulations Susie, we had our 12 week scan at the hospital on Tuesday & its amazing to see them moving around (I think the sonographer woke mine up as they seemed to sit up & wave).

Can't you get the Nuchal scan done at the hospital where you've been booked into for your delivery? Ours did one as a matter of course & then we had a 'booking-in' appointment with the midwife (plus blood tests) & saw the obstetrician. It took over 3 hours to see everyone but it was worth it.

Hi

Just found a website www.ob-ultrasound.net which is interesting. If you scroll down to 'The picture gallery' you can see ultrasounds (and videos) of embryos\fetuses at different stages. Fascinating stuff.

Hello all of you wonderful buddies, I am just posting quickly to let you know that after a terrible scare of bleeding on Tuesday night we are fine and we have a little tapas baby bubble doing what it should. I have posted the full story on the over 40 thread on the general forum and on the 40+ pg thread here. Thanks those of you who pm'd me and asked how I was, that meant a lot I can tell you.

So now PMA rules, and off we go

Next scan 17th June so the same day as you Sher, we are really "belly buddies" aren't we???

Love to all of you

will be back more over the next few days

Love and hugs, I really missed you all

(((( BIG J ))))))

Great big hugs to you, you poor dear.

I would be writing a letter about that gyne to someone !!!
I can't believe that they would do a test like that without warning you.

Besides we go through a battery of crap before we can even have anything done as far as treatment is concerned.

I am so glad that everything is ok.

Love
Joy

Hi Joy

I always think of you as my "donor buddy" hope that's OK???? My HCG was only 43 on BFP day, I am not worried now I have seen sweetie pie, and you'll be glad it's next Monday. The early scan shows the sac but only faintly the embryo, so you'll see much more than I did. Don't worry it will be there sweetie. The website that was recommended on this thread (www.betabase.info) should ease your worries if you haven't already looked at it???, you'll see how low HCG's can be and how doubling times can vary so much. It helped me an awful lot. HCG's are not an exact science atall.

you are right about the gynae she should ahve said something, but it's happened now. I shall just make sure I see my regular gynae each time. I was too impatient to wait for an appt with her, next time I wont be  Apparently in Germany it's a normal test at the first examination, but of course in natural pg that would happen around 9 weeks I think. Thanks for the miscarriage site too, that got me through the night on Tuesday  .

Anyway, what's exciting is that we had measurements (OK I know they are not accurate) but they seemed to work out 5 weeks 4 days on Tuesday that means "latching on" must have happened around ET day, thanks for the info  so today I am 6 weeks  so Sher/Princess we are really belly buddies    that's nice isn't it???

Starting to feel a bit more sick now, comes and goes like sea sickness. My sister had a terrible time, hope it doesn't run in the family. Boobies mega sore, invested in a maternity bra, nad pout it off as didn't want to tempt fate, then just said what the heck. Fits really well. Big knickers too  much better at keeping the patches on and more practical with the pessary situation...

Thinking of you all sweeties

Love and kisses
