Suz - Believe it or not, I am at work. I feel much better this week. Left ovary is still enlarged and doc said it would be 2-3 weeks until things settle down. I sit at my desk most of the day and when I get home I lie down so really not much activity. Thank you for asking.
Mil - My Clinic suggested I make an OBGYN appointment as I am at around 8 weeks today. So my first appt. is next Monday.
I have been receiving mixed feedback on the "weak heart rate" twin. Some say that it won't make it and others say it could. I believe what is meant to be on this one - really out of my control.
I hope everyone is having a good week. Is there anyway we should start a list and list our weeks next to them?? I am starting to lose track of everyone. Just a thought.

hi all,
again have just about caught up with everyone and where they are. as everyone else has already said, I am just so sad about Joy's loss. it really is devastating. sending you loads of love and support.
Smita and Esther - it's lovely to hear of your great news - congartulations!! those scans will be with you before you know it and are incredibly exciting. i had my first at 6.5 weeks and saw a little blob and yolk sac and was also lucky enough to see the heart beating. as has been said, dont worry too much about this as the heart is only just starting to beat around this time. the second scan was even more incredible when the blob became more baby like and even had little waving arms!! that was around 9.5 weeks.
I am waiting now to hear from my hospital for the checking in appt which should be within the next few weeks. i have a nuchal scan booked for 11 weeks and six days at the Fetal medicine Centre in london, but am already nervous about the statistics it may throw up for Downs Syndrome. (i am 38). they do a blood test alongside the scan which i think improves the accuracy. has anyone ese got one arranged?
other than that, we have put the house on the market this week. we were planning to move to Cork mid sep but i am suddenly feeling v unsure. being pregnant means i am less keen to leave my family and freinds behind, esp as this is my parents' first grandchild. i am trying to persuade my dh a move to Hampshire might be change enough for us from london!!
10 weeks today and sickness is still there but steadily improving. havent been sick for about 5 days now. Big J - i hope you're doing ok on that front.
hope each and every one of you is doing ok and love to all. sorry to waffle!

p.s think the weeks idea is great but someone else will be more efficient at starting it than me. how do we update it regularly??

Thanks everyone for welcoming me here. I had lots of cramping today
and a little backache. When do I start having nausea, I cant wait for it to
start ( sorry girls if you are struggling with it at the moment ). Stil reading my aches and pains and also worrying about anything going wrong. Feeling very hot and not sleeping very well is this normal or good, iam worried.
My first scan is on the 11th of July from the ET date that will 5wks. It actually appears a lot difficult to wait for the 1st scan than the 2ww.
CONGRATULATIONS GIRLS AND ENJOY YOUR PREGNANCIES.

Morning everyone and a big hi to our new arrivals.
Esther - I'm up to 7 weeks today and have had no nausea or morning sickness at all, but have had enormous problems sleeping from the 2ww and onwards. Don't know if that is any help!
My second scan is 30th June which will be just over 8wks. I agree with you Esther, the wait for scans is almost worse than the 2ww.
Hope everyone else is feeling OK.

Good morning all! Hope everyone is doing well today.
Esther:
Hopefully you will be one of the lucky ones and not have nausea. It's a real pain. It was a welcome pain in the beginning but it just kept getting worse. Finally it is starting to go away. I am only getting sick a few times a week instead of all day. I haven’t really slept well since about 6w. I have frequent urination and I have to get up every 2-3 hours at night and use the restroom. And I am also having really strange dreams. They say that pregnancy tries to prepare your body for when the baby comes....

I have been lurking for awhile, but have decided to introduce myself now that I can finally believe that I am really pregnant and all is going well. You all seem so nice that I wanted to jump into this group particularly.
I am 9w5d with twins after IVF/ICSI. I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis last year and had an episode in Nov that put me in the hospital, so the docs said I had to hurry pregnancy along, as pregnancy not only helps MS, but I can't be on treatment while TTC. (I just got married last September, so we hadn't even started TTC!)
We had 3 3-day 8-cell embies transferred on May 2nd. This is my first pregnancy and I just turned 38.
I also signed on to give some of you words of encouragement about morning sickness- I was disabled by it until this morning and I am feeling much better. My RE reduced my PIO to every other day and it seems to really help. I can also say that those Sea-Bands keep me from vomiting. Hope this helps someone out there...

Re the sleeping problems and being too hot - thats my main problem at the moment. I normally sleep v.well, so finding it v.difficult.
Smita - I had my 1st scan at 6 wk 3 dys and there was a heartbeat. However I think the stats are that you only see a heartbeat in 50% at this stage. As far as cramps are concerned, I still have AF type pains on a daily basis. I have now got used to them and it actually reassurres me that things are stretching and growing in there. Dont worry about your doubts - they are not silly. I think most of us have had the same worries.
Julie - Welcome and congratulations on your twins!! I think thats four lots of twins now on this first tri thread - amazing!! So glad you decided to join in. Im 10 wks 2 dys today - still cant believe it!
Hope everyone else is ok - not too many side effects (unless you want them of course, all you girls wanting to feel sick - blowing nausea dust your way - just you wait!!!!) and hope you are all enjoying your pregnancies.
Take care

Hope you don't mind if I join in this thread. It's very early days for me (got a BFP on 17 June) and I'm having a hard time believing I'm actually PG. I'm like the other newbies here - hanging out for some obvious symptoms!
I had a scare this morning and would appreciate some advice from anyone who may have had a similar experience (apologies in advance as this is a bit gross). I noticed a small amount of dark browny-black discharge when I went to the bathroom. It wasn't blood and the closest thing I can compare it to is the pasty stuff that was in the progesterone pessaries (which I stopped using a week ago today). I rang the clinic in a panic and the nurse said that as it wasn't accompanied by cramping it was probably nothing to worry about. Easier said than done though - I've been going out of my mind today! Anyone else experienced this??
My first scan is scheduled for 8th July and I'm just keeping my fingers crossed and praying hard til then.
Good luck to everyone,
Deanne

Welcome Julie & Deanne and congrats to you both on the BFP.
Julie:
I hope all goes well for you. I bet you are so excited to have twins. Glad to hear the morning sickness is finally starting to go away for you. Mine has also started to subside as of late. I am actually starting to feel somewhat normal again.
Deanne:
I hope all goes well for you as well! It's so exciting getting the BFP. I thought I would never see a positive pregnancy test or hear the words from my nurse "you're pregnant". It was the most exciting day of our lives. I am sure you are on cloud 9. As for the scare, I am sure it is nothing to worry about. It is probably just a little dried blood from when the baby implanted. It is very common to see a brownish discharge after becoming pregnant. Mixed with the progestrone you were taking it probably just looks strange. I had a small amount of spotting after I got my positive and it was really scary so I'm sorry you have to go through that. Even though I knew it was normal and my doctor told me it was normal it was still scary but everything worked out fine. Another thing to think of..... Sometimes you have a build of blood in your cervix (I think that is where it is) and if you have sex it can cause a small amount of blood as well. Also very normal. I had that happen too and I wouldn't let my DH touch me for weeks until I read that it was okay.
Hope everyone stays well and has a wonderful day!!!

Deanne - They say that the progesterone suppository can also create some bleeding as it may rub on your cervix. I was told not worry if this would happen. Hang in there!
I have to say that I have been blessed with not receiving any morning sickness although I did have a bad case of OHSS instead. Feeling extremely tired still. Things must be growing down there.
Kim - I'm sorry to hear about your sleeping troubles. My problem is waking up. I just can't seem to do it. I find it funny that we all react so differently.
Mil - Glad to hear that you are losing your nausea and getting back to normal again.
Suz - Hope you are feeling better and good luck on your scan on Monday! How many weeks are you now??
Hope everyone is having a good day today.

Hi all
Welcome to the newbies.
Wardley I know exactly what you are going thru I was exactly the same, I didnt know wether to worry more that it would be twins or that it would show nothing, but as everyone said to me, the first time all went ok so why wouldn't it this time.
I am going crazy at the mo. All my symptoms have gone, so I'm now thinking maybe its all over but the scan was OK 2 weeks ago, but I just dont know what to think, I just dont feel pg any more.
My next scan on the NHS is at 20 weeks. Hello I'm gonna be in a loony bin by then. Or I can get a nuchal scan at 12 weeks if I pay the £200 it costs. I'm only 30 so dont really need the nuchal, but I need the extra scan for piece of mind.
Argh, last time I sailed thru my pg thinking life was great this time I'm a wreck. I'm so down at the mo that me and DH are hardly speaking coz I'm very snappy at the mo.
Anyway hope your all OK

I have been worried a bit the past 3 days bcoz of these pains on my lowersides especially the left side. Its not a lot of pain but its causing me to worry. I heard that side pains are oftenly associated with ectopics. Iam scared this could end up a wild dream for me. Iam only 2wks 3days. I do experience some cramping AF type but nothing serious.
Clare- hope your scan goes well on the 30th. how are you feeling.
Wardley- What a scare you had the 1st time hope that doesnt happen this time around.Goodluck on your first scan, hope that it goes well for you.
Mil- hope you are feeling well, what a nightmare, waking up every 2-3 hours a night, bet you will be nackered in the morning.
Smita- Iam having a day 35scan, I think the clinic does 1st scans at 5wks I have noticed most of the girls did 6wks and above. I wonder if I will be able to see a heart beat so early.Like you iam still waiting for my fare share of nausea. Are you doing 5 or 6wks 1st scan.
Julie- CONGRATS on your twins you must be flying, after your MS ordeal how are you feeling now, hope fine.
k- hie , good one on blowing nausea, its bad but we are waiting eagerly for it, we need something to remind us that our dreams have come true. How are you your self, hoping you are well and enjoying your prego.
Dianne- Congrats on your BFP. Are you doing a day 35scan 1st scan like me.How are you . Any side pains like me, mine come and go and iam getting very very worried.
Every one besides worrying about little things lets enjoy our pregs.
