Hello Everyone

I started my 2WW on Friday 17 June, with 2 little Grade 2 embies..seems a bit quiet on here at the moment..I suppose you are all taking it easy, possibly bedrest??

I tried it but am tooooo bored, even though we have Sky TV in bedroom and Sky Plus downstairs. I am so used to running around after my 18 month old DD that this is torture for me.

DP, Ian, has been very good at looking after me and Amber this weekend (wasn't that brilliant during IVF treatment!) but I just want to enjoy the sunshine.

Oh well...hope to talk to you all soon...

Steph

Don't feel lonely, I'm here desperately trying to get through this waiting ordeal.

Also trying hard not to keep poking my boobs to see if they are hurting :?

Hope you are doing ok - I'm back off to rest (again).

Take care sweetie

Ok I found you all - I was enjoying having my own thread for a while though lol.

I saw this thread and the first entry was so early I didn't think it was ours x

Ramble over - How's everybody bearing up? I have to say this week has gone soooo quick! I am sure next week will be a drag. I have been a good girl, eating well, drinking lots of water and resting MOST of the time.
I honestly wouldn' t change anything - so we just to have to hope and pray.

L.P what grade embies did you get in the end? Was it worth waiting for Blastocyst for you? They wouldn't let me wait that long because we only had 2 good eggs left and they were 7A and 6B by the fri ( day 4 including EC day), they are the best quality we have had yet and the procedure went smoother than ever ( i have to have a transymotetrial transfer) . I am also trying not to look into any symptoms because I have been caught out by that before! I do have tummy cramps in the evening and during the night and really bad back ache then too, I'm fine during the day though - strange. I have had the odd tingle in my boobs and I get really excited and it stops. It is not worth reading into things but it is a great way of keeping PMA.

Anyway ladies, hope you are ll having a smooth 2ww and anyone testing soon ------ hhhhhhuuuuuggggggggeeeeee amounts of baby dust and good luck lets increase the population together xx

Hello

Post by tolbee »

Hello Everyone,
May I join this thread? I am new to this board and a first time IVFer.
I did my ET on June 21 and my test date is June 30. I had 10 eggs collected and seven were fertilized. We did Blastcyst Transfer on day 5. Today is my fourth day after the transfer, but I already feel like I am going to get a period. I know I am not supposed to read into the symptoms too much but it's hard not to!
Medication-wise, I am taking Estrace, Progesteron shot and Baby Aspirin. I was also taking Doxicycline and Medrol, but it had ran out. I didn't fully understand the reason behind this, but my Dr told me to drink Gatorade only and I've been doing so for over a week now. Has any of you also told to drink Gatorade? I am drinking about 2 litters of it everyday and I am quite frankly worried about the sugar intake...
The only hiccup we had during this cycle was my FSH level. It seems my FSH leve is in the higher range for my age, but my Dr bumped up the Follistim dosage and that solved it.
Anyway, enough about me...
Hope eveyone's holding up and have a nice relaxing (not so vigorous) weekend! -- Tolbee

Tolbee - don't worry too much (I know, I know ..) about the AF pains. They'll disappear in 2-3 days I'm sure. I had exactly the same thing on my first 2 cycles.

Keep up the PMA .. !

Tolbee--
I was also told to drink 3 - 4 liters of Gatorade a day -- no water -- after my retrieval and transfer. I had a mild case of OHSS, and it seemed to do the trick (although it sure is difficult choking down that much liquid when you're already so bloated that you can't fit into your pants!).
Hope that helps--

Thanks Sandra for your warm words. PMA indeed. I am planing to do something for myself this weekend, perhaps getting a pedicure or a new hair cut. Something to keep my mind occupied.

Shannon, 3-4 litters of Gatorade! At first I didn't like drinking Gatorade that much, but I like drinking the Fruit Punch flavor now. My tounge is permanently stained red, I am sure!

Take care!
