I had my 11 week scan today. We found out that the one twin did not make it, but it came to no surprise due to the weak heart rate at Week 7. I have have been able to justify this and move forward with our wonderful healthy jelly bean that is about 1 1/2" long and a strong heartbeat, nuchal scan was perfect and everything is right on schedule. The little peanut would not stop posing for the camera and our u/s technician was camera happy so we have lots of photos. My favorite is the feet photo where all you see are two tiny feet with toes. Just precious. Next scan is at 18 - 19 weeks. I wish we could have them more often! See you soon Mil and K.
Wardley, Esther - Looking forward to hearing about your scans.

I'm so sorry about your news - but well done you on keeping your head above water and being so positive about your "peanut" - he/she sounds gorgeous, obviously a playful person
Sher - I am sorry for the loss of one of your twins. I know you seemed prepared for it, but its still sad news.
Fantastic news on your jellybean\peanut(!!) I can only imagine how wonderful an 11 week scan is.
I am starting to show now and clothes are tighter. I have bought a few maternity clothes (In a sale) they are huge! Comfy though.
I have transfered over to the 2nd trimester thread now. It wont be long for you now either, so Ill see you over there!
Hope all you other girls scans and blood tests go ok. I will still keep looking in on you all to make sure you are ok.
Little P - I read on the general forum that its your first scan tommorrow. Good luck - hope everything goes well. It is more reasurring when you get to see it!
Esther - Hope your scan went well today.
Take care everyone

I've been putting off joining in here until I had my first scan - today was the big day.
I can honestly say it was one of the most precious and beautiful sights I have ever seen. There I was looking at the monitor with the consultant pointing out the little heartbeat when he said "How many are you hoping to see?" - at this point he showed us baby number 2. Wow - what a wonderful surprise that was - it was a miracle seeing one, let alone seeing two hearts beating away.
I'm still in awe
It does explain why I am already having to shift towards maternity trousers
Anyway, I know it's a long road from here to 12 weeks and then there's still 6 months to go, but at the moment I am LOVING it.
I do hope that you are all ok and don't mind me joining in the first trimester thread.
That is just wonderful news and congratulations! You are right about the road ahead of you, but I am glad you are cherishing every moment of it. I bet you wish we could have a scan every day, huh? Well before you know it, you will be holding those babes in your arms. Welcome to the board.

I'm sorry for your lost. I miscarried before and only time can heal the wound. But you still have a healthy one and it's growing big. Now you need to only focus on the good thing. Try to go out and visit friends and have something relaxing to oppucy you. Don't stress out yourself. A life is still going on inside you.
Your news is somehow shadowing me because I just scanned that I am having triplets. Doctor said it's still early to see whether all heart beat are truly real. I will go back to see him next week to find out if all three are still there. Multiple pregnancy isn't easy at all, especially to the first time mom to be. My doctor warned me that there are many risks, but what can I do. I've already prepared myself for all kinds of outcomes.
Have a lot of rest, think only the bright side. Hug from all of us, and get well soon.
I had to jump back in, cant keep away!
Just want to say congratulations to Little P, Esther and HM on your scans!
Little P - wow, twins!! Theres been a few lately! At least this means you have a few people to compare with!
Esther - So glad your scan went well. It is such an emotional moment isnt it? I am enjoying been pregnant at the moment, definatly getting bigger! My normal clothes are getting too tight now!
HM - I wish you all the best with your triplets. I know its a bit more worrying with 3, but there have been other women who've had triplets and theyve all been ok, so keep positive. There is definatly another lady on this forum who is having triplets, so you could always talk to her. I read in a magazine today of a 42 yr old woman who concieved triplets naturally(!) and they were fine.
Take care everyone

I realize that there is no difference between singleton and multiple pregnancies here. Every mom is on top of the world, all babies are the best babies.
As we all go through the procesure this far, we should be happy and celebrate everyday the joy that the babies bring to us.
Thanks for your kind words HM. DH and I are ok about the loss. I believe it is because we were so well informed along the way. I guess that is why we also kept it a bit of a secret. Seeing our little peanut yesterday, I've come to realize this one is going to give us a run for the money! Very active so far.
Triplets, wow. I can understand your concern, but all you can do now is rest, rest, rest. I am not sure how many weeks you are, but I recall being very tired and I would think your body is working hard now. Everything will be fine and your future scans will firm up all the details. In the meantime, like you said, enjoy the moment. Oh and don't forget to have DH pamper you too.
