Sher,

I'm glad that you are ok. You are already in 11 weeks, so just hang on there through the first trimester. I'm only 6 weeks, or 4 weeks after transfer, so yesterday was my first time to scan for the heart beat.

I'm emotionally prepared for any kind findings next week, maybe I still have 3, or maybe the weaker one is gone. No matter what, for the sake of surviving baby(ies)' health, we shouldn't be very up set.

I already began the morning sickness these days. I am resting a lot, restrictly following doctor's instruction, and continuing the injections; hope all little ones will be fine.

Wardley,

Thank you for set up the twins stread. Since for most of us this is probably the first time to get pregnant. I really don't know what to do especially with multiple pregnancy. Glad we can all talk it together to overcome the sickness and anxiety. Let's all stay positive and hoping for the best to come.

Dear All

I am so excited to see so many twins and triplets on the boards - Little P and HM - what a result. This is really such great news for all of you. Good luck!

Just to say that I am feeling much better these days - after my really bad episode of colitis. I am booked in for my nuchal scan on 27th July when I will be exactly 12 wks. All very nerve wracking so I am just taking it one day at a time.

Hope everyone is feeling OK today.

Thanks for your kinds words - it is a scorcher 8) isn't it. I have to say it is difficult to relax about any of this - I guess that each day is a step closer and that's what matters.

Hope everyone of you is having a good day.

Hey all,
Just wanted to know if all of you are doing fine..
I'm fine, just the mood swings-snap unneccesarily at everyone..wonder if it'll affect the baby..
Here in india, everyone tells me I should be calm and sleep a lot cause what we do now is what the baby'll do when he/she's born.. :)
Wonder if theres any truth to that?? :?
Also, no nausea.. still hoping for some..
The spotting is still happening, still trying to ignore it..
Also worrying about having put on 5lbs already..esp since I'm on the heavier side..
Another worry is when are we supposed to start antenatal classes? Here my doc hasn't mentioned anything to me yet..I know that in the west people start them early..
And  is sex bad for the baby?? My doc said to avoid, but dh is coming to visit me from Bahrain after ages and...
Anyway, wishing you all lots of Happiness and Smiles!

Hi Smita

Hope the spotting stops soon - I've heard so many stories from friends with children that they bled/spotted for most of the 1st Trimester so I think its more common than we realised.

Not sure about anyone else but my ante-natal classes start at around week 27 and run for 5 weeks.

Normally sex isn't harmful (as long as you don't swing from the chandeliers  ) but I would be careful if you are spotting.

Hi Smita,
I thought I'd pop on and pass on what I learned regarding some of your questions (ultimately get all your answers from your doctor) ...

Sex while your pregnant is tyically fine, but with some women it can cause spotting afterward. I personally didn't experience this, but my doctor said it happens. If you're doctor said no, and your spotting, it might be that he's being cautious as to whether your cervix is completely closed yet. If it's not, then bacteria could get in during sex. When I was bleeding/spotting my doctor told me no sex until my spotting subsided.

I live in the US and was told to check with my hospital early regarding prenatal classes since they tend to fill up quickly. My doctor advised taking them during the 7th/8th month. I signed up for mine at the beginning of my 2nd trimester.

Congrats to you and all the 1st trimester mommies-to-be! =) Enjoy all the marvelous ups and downs!
Hugs-
Kelly

I will keep my fingers crossed that everything is ok - I'm sure it is, there just always seems to be something to make us worry doesn't there.

Thanks Esther, Thanks LittleP,
Thank you all for being my support line(sound like an academy award winner!!  )
The red spotting stopped, but you know how it nags at one? Considering my doc has advised complete rest,I have nothing to do except read and think about this!!
Waiting to see dh on Tuesday.. he's going to be here for 4 days..
Maybe will go to the doc then to get another scan to see if all is ok and that way dh can get to see the baby as well..
How you all bearing up? Its such an emotional roller-coaster for all of us, right?
Right from day1 when we visit the docs for a baseline scan??the worrying never seems to end!

You are so right - with each day / week that goes by a fresh worry seems to come to mind. It's still hard to believe these little miracles are happening isn't it?

I hope you have a lovely time with DH and that you get a scan - it would be lovely for you to go together.

Big hugs

Hi, I'm back from my holiday, but I'm officially in the 2nd tri thread now, but just wanted to pop in and say congrats to Little P and all the other recent positives. If you dont mind me asking Little P how many attempts did you have, coz you seem to have so much knowledge about treatments etc.
Anyway congrats to all and hope to see you all in the 2nd tri thread soon
