Ellie

I am so sorry - I know you are disappointed, but does this mean that your FSH levels are getting slightly better as they showed borderline?

hello everyone! Getting covered in that baby dust - what a lovely idea!

Went to hospital today for my scan to check suppression was ok (Ijust did a one injection Gonapeptyl) - it was ok so I start Menopur daily stim injections on Friday this week.

GAILP - hope the blood test is ok and you can start your stim - we look to be cycling almost exactly the same - I have a nice bag of small needles now.

TILLY - good luck for your start today

Debbieed - Hugs for you hope it is going well- was thinking of everyone whilst sitting in the waiting room, I don't know about the rest of you but I find the hospital waiting room a strange place.

Everyone here is so friendly and chatty and helpful - at the hospital we all smile politely and don't hold too much eye contact, I suppose we are all at different stages and it is hard as you see different people each time but I'm glad I have you all to chat to - sure I'll be here more as I get into the daily injections.

:D PMA to everyone - show your bruises some sunshine at the weekend, that's what I plan to do and I'll think of you all as I sip on my peppermint tea (aquiring a taste to stop the nausea! )

love
Sharont

Hi crasmus - I'm in a similar situation. After 3 cancelled IUI cycles b/c of ohss (I had 47 follicles at one point!) - I am trying IVF for the first time.

Thanks to proper "tweaking" of the meds, I had 13 mature follicles this time - I was also on 75u of Gonal F and 75 Repronex. This combination worked well for me, and I hope it does for you as well.

i've been through a ton of cycles and the meds are tricky... if i do not have enough then my E2 drops and my cycle is canceled, then if i have too much meds, i have a ton of eggs and Ohss and canceled... the last two EC i had 39 and 40 eggs with a good number mature, but they are not of really great quality.. we had 15-20 fertilize, but i never end up with any to freeze and my Dr. have VERY strict freezing policy... i wish i had some frozen and did not have to do this IVF-EC thing again...

hope that the 75 gonal and 75 repronex works as well for me as it did for you@!!!!

cramus - I know how frustrating it is - I had a similar situation - too many follicles and low E2. I'm sure they'll finally find the right meds for you. Keep us posted.

For ohss - I was told to drink at least two 710ml bottles of Gatorade and Ensure (1-2 cans). I suppose the electrolytes help maintain stability in the body. Also, it helps your body absorb water, rather than your abdomen. Sure, you'll put on a few pounds b/c of all the sugar, but who cares...hopefully we'll put on a lot more in the near future!

Hello All,
I'm still trying to keep positive but have felt pretty awful today to tell the truth. I know that things might look more optimistic tomorrow at my scan but today has been hard to think positive. I am also REALLY tired - so tired that I could fall asleep at the drop of a hat. I guess that's just the drugs!
Wish I could produce a few more eggs - I've never had enough to freeze any. Guess I was hoping that this time would be different, but I guess not.
Take care all.

Love

Hello all

I have ordered Zita West's book, but in the meantime I have a couple of questions and wondered if anyone could give me any clues.

The first one is about the advice to drink 2 litres of water, is that just water or is that liquid in general. I do drink a lot of tea (please don't tell me I have to stop my Earl Grey or I really will cry :!:  )

The other question is how long after starting to sniff is AF likely to show
up? In the normal course of things it would be due on 2nd August. Is it
likely to appear earlier or about the same?

Clare55 - how are you doing after a couple of days?

I had the SERIOUS munchies yesterday - which often happens pre-AF. So got some Organic Plain dark chocolate, which usually helps with the normal grumps and Grrrrs. And some fruit to stop me eating too much of the chocolate!

I've not been sleeping all that well, but I prefer to put that down to being
a bit anxious rather than anything else.

My DH had been off work all day. When I got home from work today I found that he has done the housework, changed the bed and was in the middle of cooking my dinner.

Isn't he THE most wonderful DH :D

Best wishes to all of you
Ange

Hi everyone,

I like to be able to address everyone individually but this is such a huge group that I can't manage that! Maybe we should have split up into 3 sections or something for the sake of those of us who have terrible memories! :)

I'm due to go in for my baseline scan tomorrow but am paranoid because AF hasn't shown up. I took my last bcp on Monday and, whenever I've taken bcp's in the past, I usually get it 2 days later like clockwork. I'm just hoping they don't tell me I have to keep downregging for another week or something. DH and I went through so many headaches trying to work his travel schedule around my appts., potential transfer date, etc.

Debbie,

I'm sorry you're feeling so down and tired. Just keep reminding yourself that it is surely the drugs. Hopefully, things will look better at your scan tomorrow.

Ange,

That was so sweet of your DH :) !

Okay, I'm going to try to go do something to get my mind off things for a bit!

Hope everyone else is doing ok.

Staci
