Hi all..
I had a scan and the baby's ok- they did an internal exam as well- and found what they think is a polyp- as usual, they didnt reveal much- just muttered amongst each other..have asked me to come back in 10 days..
Baby's ok so I'm not too worried..
oh and abt my english,a lot of indians speak good english..maybe u girls havent interacted with indians as such..and india is shown like a poverty stricken, dirty place on tv, but its not all like that..yes there is poverty and dirt, but not in your face- basically stems from the HUGE population and lack of infrastructure..we're pretty much behind the west in those terms, but education and medical help is great in most states.. Goa is abt 500km northwest-ish nicki..
You all should vacation once in india.. it'll be a good change-lots of beauty!plus it isnt an expensive country to vacation in..
Actually, I was a little apprehensive abt writing in this forum.. thought ppl will be not-so-welcoming..since its mostly all women from UK, US, Oz.. but its great! :)

hope u all are doing fine..
Denise, hope the needles are not so prickly!
and Jag and Nicki..almost almost there..yippeee-
cant wait for u all to join the pregnant thread..

Smita everyone is welcome!!! In the Uk, as you know, there are lots Indians - I havent taught a class without teaching an Indian pupil. I think everyone knows that are many parts to every country....my DH is North African....so I know the differences from first hand experiance. He is fluent in French and was taught most subjects in it at school, as well as Arabic being his first language.

The little boy in my class has, of course, perfect English but as he has just arrived in the UK his mother is worried his accent is too strong for the other children to understand........that is just not a problem!

We will deff. visit India one day....the beauty of the country and cuisine..... :D

Gald to hear baby :D is well

Jag - welcome to boards! Good luck!!

Nicki - AF arrived???

Smita, I'm releived to hear the baby is doing well.

Lumi, welcome back to the boards - we're always here for you.

Typing will be short today as I'm one accident after another. First a bee stung me, and my hand swelled to the elbow. When that finally came down, I slammed my fingers in the door, and find it hard to type.

Additionally, I was late for bloods this am, and spilled my coffee all down the front of my shirt. Dangit. Decaf coffee of course, but still just as hot.

Like I said, I'm a big disaster today, I'll try not to pass any bad luck on to any of you.

Should be due for blood, and scan on Friday, then hopefully IUI for Sunday.... I'll let you guys know.

Hello ladies

Still waiting for AF – day 34 cor – have some cramps – instead of saying oooh that hurts I’m saying come on body, bring it on, give me some more pain I WANT my AF  !

Denise – Thank goodness the day got better for you and you had some good news re bloods and scan dates! I would have headed back to bed to see if I could start the day again! How exciting for you everything crossed for Sunday – although not your lower half obviously  sorry! I will have everything crossed for you.

I’m lost though there seems to be lots of you who have injections when doing IUI – I wasn’t offered any of that when I had mine – could you explain a bit more -sorry to be duh!

Smita – glad scan went well and baby is comfy and cosy!

Lumi – thank you for your greetings – hope you are getting stronger day by day.

Chanteq – hows the puregon injections going? A pen injection sounds great – do you have to mix the puregon? I will have to mix the gonal – not sure how that will go – we shall see – I was never any good at mixing things in chemistry at school!

Nicki AF arrived yet, waiting game waiting game!!!!

No I don’t live in Switzerland, although I have visited there, the Alps yes, but the Southern Alps in New Zealand. Its gorgeous down here (well I am a bit biased!). I am a pommie though so its nice to see all the county names.

Putting in a request for some positive vibes pls for an AF pls I’m getting desperate to start FSH!

Take care all

HI girls,
I have one day off the boards and just on this thread, I am reading many posts. Gosh!!!
I was not well yesterday, had a meting at work 9-5 and it was really heavy going lots of info to take in and I was so stressed out my head was throbing. I guess that because af is due that didn't help either. The bosses took us out for lunch too, chinese, which I am avoiding due to the mono sodium glutimate it contains and that not being good for fertikity etc.... so I picked a dish and hardly touched it then becasue I hadn't eaten I was very faint and dizzy. then i felt sick. It took an housr to get thro ruch hr traff. and just went straight to bed when I got in. Phew!!!
Feeling much better today. Af due tomorrow, though got a feeling it'll be late. Bound to be just to piss me off!!!! lol!!!

Lumi, great to see on again!!! Hows u? No I am not the same day as Denise, Af not even here yet. due tomorrow.....I always think off you like luminous too!! Bright and cheerful. thts our lumi!

Hi Jag. Has ur Af arrived yet?? Are u in NZ, did you say??
Im doing my IUI drug free, but if this doesn't work then next time I reackon I will have to have drug.... It's going to work so lets not go there!

Denise hiya x x. Hope u have a better day. You and me the same huh, crap day!! But u know what today can only be better. good Luck for Sunday x x

Smita hello! I am glad that the scan went ok and baby is fine. How r u feelin? Had any sickness yet?? Are you eating lots of Ginger? Dont be apprehensive about writing here at all. It's a great place and we are all in this together. you are right this sire is mainly usa, uk and oz. BUt that probably because it's located on our search engines. when I search ivf on google this comes up on the first page always.
Smita u will have to get one of those tickers with the baby development on it. They are great, Katie on the other thread mentioned them. I think it was baby-gaga.com

Love to u all.

hugs Nicola x

hi Nicki,
Must be crazy for you- no af and then crappy day at work..plus emotional ups and downs.. Gosh!
Lumi,
that af jig for Jag and Nicki sounds sooo cute!!

Denise,
where are you??Good luck for fridays scan..

Abt the ticker- I'm a little(ok a lot) jittery abt this pregnancy.. so too scared to get me a baby ticker -if you know what i mean.. superstitious abt everything..Will go and look in on this baby gaga site though- got lots of time on my hands- so sit at my laptop all the time-thanks to doc forbidding going out..
Additional info:(will do a bit of India info!!)
Here in India, neither the govt, nor insurance pays for IUI's or IVF's- we have to shell out money personally.. thats cause everyone thinks the population is far too high I suppose, to need encouragement!!But its not as expensive as going private in the UK i assume- from reading the posts on this board..
ok girls- Have fun!!
Thanks for being my online support sys.. its good to vent and share..

Smita, I'm in Canada, so I'm in the minority too. I found this site when I was around 8 weeks pg, and was told that there was no heartbeat. So I was empty inside, and this was a godsend, honestly. Here in Canada...(I'll give a few tidbits too!) IUI is covered by our healthcare, at least in Ontario. Each province runs a little differently. The only thing we pay for is the seminal analysis, and monash, about $200 each. If we convert from IUI to IVF, because I overstimulate, its also covered. If I decide from the start to do IVF, we pay... haven't worked out all the details, but its around 5,000 - 6,000$ per cycle. Mind you, the British pound is worth something 2.4 x more than our dollar... so its still cheaper here. Thank god my insurance pays for the drugs, they're pricey things, honestly.

Nicki, you and me both, we should have stayed in bed yesterday. DH had a good laugh at all my foibles yesterday. Oh well, just means today can only be better, right?

Well, upward, and onward. Have a good day, gals.
