Morning to everyone - hope everyone's feeling great.
Smita - how was your nuchal scan? Hope you felt thoroughly reassured by it and are now relaxing. Hope you still pop on here from time to time when you've passed onto the 'second trimester' - when does that start? Is it from 14 weeks or earlier?
Hi Jamato - how are things going for you? I too am really into salads - I'm just fancying fresh, cool, watery foods. If you discover any nice combinations - let me know - I like new things at moment - can't bear to keep eating same food over and over. It can be same type of food but in different combinations.
Little P - How did DH's stag night go? (Well not his but his friend!) Are you missing the chance to go out and let your hair down or has it not really bothered you? Hope your sickness is appeasing a little - you must be nearly 10 weeks or more now aren't you which is amazing - it doesn't seem so long since you started talking on general forum - I can't believe how many entries you've clocked up in that time!! You must be a super speed typer (I am definitely not).
Carlac - How on earth are you goiing to wait 5 weeks for anther scan? Is it goiing to drive you mad? Still, in some ways it's good because by the time you go again you'll be nearly at second trimester!
Jacky - how did your night in go? Did DH enjoy stag night? Bet he was ringing you every half hour wasn't he? Birmingham's great for hen and stag nights - really classy (well can be depending on choice of venues) I took my best friend there for hers and we did a James Bond girls weekend goiing around all the classy bars and eating at really posh places - it was fab. Can't wait to see your Birth / Christening announcement - Barbie and Ken Jones!!
Esther - I also (like Little P) read that losing weight in early pregnancy is quite normal particularly if you suffer from sickness and will do no harm whatsoever so don't worry about that - infact it could be a good thing!
Kim - How are you? Will you still be in second trimester when some of us get on there or will you have already passed onto third trimester? It's like knowing someone from the 'Senior School' when you're still in Primary!! Very exciting - you can give us the low down.
Hope I haven't missed anyone - slapped wrist if I have and tell me please.
P.S Has anyone got any pets and do they know?! My dog Jack keeps coming and lying across my belly - he never normally does and it's like he's helping to keep the embies warm - very cute!!

Just got back from the scan and Little One was looking more beautiful than every - little arms and legs now, what an amazing picture to see. Yes, there were tears but hey I'm hormonal it's allowed
Jamato, I have to reiterate what Jacs said about undercooked meat - I usually eat steak very rare and was told that it should be med to well done whilst pregnant - I'm sure there's absolutely nothing to worry, just be careful won't you...
Smita - not long and you'll have the nuchal scan done and behind you - another worry to tick off. I wonder what the second trimester brings us?
Cheryl - hope you are doing ok today. Like you I've increased the sales of fruit locally, but at least it keeps me regular
Hi all,
hows the first day of the week been??
Jacs, did u have a scan today too??Hope ur pain has gone down..
Hey lil p,
The scan sounds wonderful..
Just want to know if you're still on heparin- cause I'm taking heparin daily myself..Wondering why exactly its prescribed..
Also, what does FAO little p mean? I dont understand.. its a thread on the gen forum!!
I'm ok- mild tummy ache- wondering why it is there.Perhaps its the stretching of the uterus or something..

Yes, still on the Heparin - it's an anti-coagulant (blood-thinning) drug. I have it twice a day to help with the Natural Killer cells.
FAO = For the Attention Of. It was a quick note from Michelle she wanted to make sure I saw.
Anyway, don't worry about the pains in the tummy - sounds like stretching to me. I get the odd twinge now and then and I've been told it's my body going through the changes.
I can honestly say I'm loving this experience - I wouldn't miss it for the world.
I just thought I would share an experience in case anyone else has this. I recently had some abdominal pains in my lower left side and called the doc immediately. Well it is very common to have either lower left or right pains and even center. It is the round ligaments (that are connected to the uterus) stretching. Just thought I would let you know. This pain is very random and should not last a long period of time. It went away after three days. See link below.

Thanks for sharing that - honestly all these different things that occur do sent your mind in to a whirl of worry. That's where this site is so great, having all you wonderful girls helping us through each day.
I know you've moved on to the next stage, but I do hope that you are ok and that your bundle is growing well
Cc - how are you today, hope you are well. Thanks for the words of encouragement, I got worried at first but iam ok about it now.
Sher8- Thanks for the information, nice to get advice from someone who is going thru exactly what we are going thru.

Hello everyone - where are you all this morning? Are you all still in bed? I can't sleep at moment -keep waking at 3 / 4am wide awake - I think it's all the twinges in my lower regions - keep getting proper strong pulling sensations every morning early then settles for rest of day - I'm hoping it's these stretching sensations that people are talking of. Thanks Sher for advice - it's great to have a bit of reassurance. Smita - so sorry I got your scan wrong - I was convinced it was Friday just gone but then I have been very scatty lately! Good luck for Sat! Jacky - can't believe they went to a lap dance club when they could have done lots of refined things!! MEN!! Still, I can reassure you that the lap dance clubs in the centre are very strict and not 'dodgy' so I'm sure they were all on their best behaviour! (No suggestion that your DH wouldn't be but still nice to know that places are decent and not seedy). Little P - what fruits are you into most? I think my current faves are cherries and melons - all types / any types. Good morning and hope you're feeling great Esther, and Carlac.
I'm still obsessing about fruit - I can't believe I sat with a huge water melon yesterday - cut it in half and sat in front of a film and ate the half with a spoon - it was huge - easily twice the size or more of a human head - and I felt so bloated afterwards but it was lovely! Needless to say, I didn't manage to consume my 10 glasses of water yesterday because I'd had so much water melon but I'm sure I got plenty from that.
Anyway, have a lovely day everyone,
Cherylxx

Well - I do nothing, I don't get up early and still I find I can't wait to crawl back into my bed and rest. Apparently this happens in the first trimester to a lot of women, all I can say is thank goodness I don't have to work otherwise my head would permanently be on my desk!!
Still eating loads and loads of fruit - satsumas, grapes, cherries - it's about the only thing that I really enjoy eating, apart from potatoes (mmmmm).
Anyway, I hope that you are all ok and things are looking good for everyone.
