Hi folks - had my blood test today to see if down regging worked. My lovely nurse (who is at our GP's) seems excited by it all. A question to you all though - why do people say oh well you are still young?! She meant well but it doesn't make any difference when you are trying does it? I realise she was meaning I'm not as old as some people but you still go through the same emotions no matter what age you are. She's sweet and I know she meant no harm in fact I do think she is a bit of a saviour - just wondered if anyone else felt like this?

Darling Ladies,
I really do feel how blessed i am to stumble upon this forum some months ago. You girls have given me so much support....It's disheartening when people i meet everyday don't understand or emphatise what i've been going through. Tough. Now, that's an understatement!

All systems are on for my first IVF, and my wonderful doctor has scheduled me for EC on Friday, and ET on Monday 8th. I'm rather calm at the moment, but i can tell you that DH is ANXIOUS. My follies are looking great, and thank god i've not hyperstimulated due to my PCOS. More updates soon.

Jag, I understand what you are saying. There's a clinic near me that prioritizes women according to age, and while I understand when you're 40 that you need to hurry, as I approach 30, I need to get going on this too.

Thank God the Nurse is pleasant in other aspects.

Chanteq I'm really excited for you. It's interesting that so many of us on this thread are cycling together. That's great.

I'm in tomorrow at 10 for the IUI, so almost on my 2ww too. Mind you, I like to get busy and think of other things so I don't get too obsessed if it works or not.

I did the HCG shot last night, that one always intimidates me, its rather large. Also, ran out of alcohol swabs and had to run out and get some before I could get started...

Hi Jag + all the other youngsters

I so know what you mean about the 'oh well your only young' comments. I even get them from the doctors and nurses at my fertility clinic!
Its really annoying even though I'm sure people mean it with the best intentions. The distress of fertility problems affects us twenty somethings just as much as those slightly older.
I have even had people who know our situation say 'I don't why your getting so worried at your age', well unfortunately our relative youth does not make my endometriosis go away or improve my DH's sperm.
I suppose I should look at the positives, at least if treatment takes many years to be successsful I've got those years to give.
Best of luck to all the girls having treatment this month.

Chanteq - eeeeek how exciting not long to go oh boy I am thinking of ya!

I have wicked headache and neckache at the moment - I don't really want to take anything for it - I'm pretty sure my acupuncturist said it was a no no. Must get the antiflamme out for my neck. What a change today - I've been feeling irritable all day and have been very snappy - poor hubby he cops it all!
