Hi Brooke - glad you found us on here - I'm not sure about HCG levels because my clinic won't use them at all which I find really frustrating 'Yes but HOW pregnant am I Mr Doctor?' I think a lot of people get tested every few days just to make sure levels are increasing (which yours obviously are) so relax - it might just be what your clinic does. Next time you're in ask them if it's routine and if not why are they doiing it with you - I'm sure it will be routine though. Yes it feels very exciting and very scary and unfortunately the wait for the first scan feels like 2ww all over again!! Still, it's great to have made it to the next stage and you should feel really pleased with yourself.

Hi to everyone else - yes the days are exhausting. I've got myself a little routine at moment - wake up early, wee, write in diary, wee, go on internet, wee, back to bed - sleep, wee, watch film, wee, wee, wee, eat, wee, read a bit, wee, watch another film, wee, sleep a bit more, wee, DH home, wee, quick cuddle, wee, dinner, wee, bed again!, wee again and keep weeing all night!! Gosh it's exhausting - I might as well get a TV fitted in the loo!! Anyway - night all I'm off for a wee and bed!

Brooke

Just to reassure you I had HCG checks every few days just to confirm that the levels were going up. I actually found it really reassuring to get confirmation that things were going in the right direction. It is too early for them to do a scan to check for things like heartbeats, so this way they can keep an eye on the pregnancy.

Good luck and hope that levels keeps going up and up.

Gen

I don't think you are legally obliged to tell a new employer that you are pregnant - I think it is entirely down to you and your conscience.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Big hugs to all.

Jacky you made me lol - you'll have to start those pelvic floor muscle exercises now - don't worry, I'm sure it'll come to all of us in the next few weeks!
I started my diary because I wanted to look back at what happened last treatment each time but as it worked this time I thought I would carry it on and write to the embies!! Sometimes I just record what I feel like and sometimes I write them little letters - helps me think it's real. (Am I crazy?!)
Only two more wake-ups until I know - love to all,
Cherylxx

Hi Smita

You'll be pleased to know that the first trimester is till 12 weeks. You are so nearly there the relief must be amazing.

I still can't get into food - except fruit - but am giving everything a go. Have gone off Indian and Chinese totally - DH is sad about that, he was hoping that Indian was going to be one my cravings!!! :D

I can't stop rubbing my swollen belly, I am so proud of it - My BIL saw me the other day and said to DH that he was surprised how much I was showing. That brought a big grin to my face I can tell you.

Anyway, hope that you are all ok.

Take care

Little P

Welcome Babl and let me congratulate you officially on this thread. As for me nausea kicked in at around 6weeks but Iam one of those lucky ones who dont run to the bathroom, I just feel it. My boobs have have also been sore on and off but as iam in my 11th week now they are not as sore. Dont worry about nausea it will come and I talk from experience because I used to wish for it and now I wish I hadnt. But one thing is for sure You need the experience of feeling nausea and its a great eperience.

LittleP- Like you am off all my favourate foods and food smells horrible at the moment especially meat and cauliflour. Also I have to force drink down my throat so as to meet my daily requirement. Iam loving my bump.

Brook ohh welcome and congrats as well. Enjoy pg time.

Everyone how are you nice to know that you are progressing well.

Hello everyone

Cheryl - I think the 2nd trimester lasts until 28 wks, so I will still be around when you lot transfer across. We are going to be a busy site then!

Smita - I was confused about when the 2nd trimester starts as some books say 12, others 13 or even 14. As far as im concerned its 12 weeks. It takes long enough to get to that point!!

I cant believe you ladies are craving healthy foods such as fruit! Apart from grapefruit juice I seem to crave junk food!! I have to force vegetables down, no interest at all!

Good luck Cheryl and Smita with your scans this week.
Little P -so glad your scan went well. My last one was at 8.5 weeks and that was amazing. You are further along so must have been fantastic to see!
Take care everyone

Kim, 28 weeks 2nd tri- gosh that seems like a lot of time!
Am grateful to God for having come this far..Its been amazing..I just want to stop worrying about the nuchal..
got 2 more sleeps to go..
Cheryl, get ready to see baby(ies) tomorrow- yippee!!

Smita - you made me very excited when you said about seeing baby/ies tomorrow - I hadn't really thought of it like that. Thanks everyone else for kind words - I probably won't post much today because I'm very strung out, emotional and miserable - so much for my philosophical attitude! It disappeared this morning when I thought 'Oh my god, it's tomorrow'. Anyway - can't wait to share the news tomorrow - I'll post about midday (UK) as our appointment's mid morning. Have a great day everyone - happy fruit consumption!

Cheryl

Good luck tomorrow - I'm sure everything will be absolutely fine, but I do understand the anxiety only too well. Will be thinking of you and keeping everything crossed.

Smita

I hope that tomorrow goes well for you - I know it's a nerve-wracking time, but I just know that everything will be fine. Loads of PMA.

I've just had my first Midwife visit - how exciting!!! :D She was lovely and went through absolutely everything with us. It was really interesting and sort of made the whole thing even more real (if that's possible).

Hopefully tomorrow should hear about the NK cells and am really hoping that they have not gone high again - I don't think I could bear to have to have another drip thingy.

Anyway, hope all you mums-to-be are ok.

Big hugs

Little P
