Cheryl

Good to know I'm not the only tired one amongst us.

Hope you enjoy your acupuncture later - I couldn't cope with that on top of the daily injections, I think I would be black and blue everywhere :D

Nearly time for lunch - I'm starving again!!! I'm really into fish at the moment which apparently is good so I'm happy about that, unfortunately I'm also into junk food - pizzas, chips mmmmm - you name it, I'll eat it

Still waiting for the phone call - mind you I know the earliest I'll hear is later this afternoon, but you can't help hoping that the call will come earlier can you?

Big hugs to you all.

:( Don't send me away so soon cheryl..
I'm still going to be around another week or more.. :D
I did pop in to see the 2nd tri though..
All the others in the 2nd tri are well settled there, so will wait here a while if its ok with u guys..
Talk abt feeling lazy days! for me its not so much abt being lazy as abt feeling drained all the time..
And mind you, I dont lift a finger around here- poor mom copes with it all-
Generally in India, the girl comes over to her mom's place when pregnant so she can get the most rest.. hard on the mother, but thats how it is- working women or women with kids don't do that though..usually first pregnancies get a lot of care..and since mine has happened after so long, I'm treated with kid gloves around here, which can be pretty frustrating at times!
Going for a short walk.. the weather is lovely..
Ta girls!
ps- wanted to know if anyone is having a mild, but nagging lower back pain?I dont know if its a result of my posture with the computer..
And p, no, i dont feel any different at all- the spotting has reduced considerably though..and my normally clear face is breaking out

Hi girls

Hope you all feel ok, have to admit it must be catching this being tired today - I'm exhausted!!! Don;t think I've had a proper nights sleep for days with worrying about the test, my mind is working overtime (and not in the most logical way   )

Anyway I phoned the clinic and I don't need confirmation blood or any other test! They told me to go tomorrow to pick up letter to take to my GP to confirm I am pregnant (that was enough to set me off in floods of tears on the phone   ) and sort out a plentiful supply of progesterone pessaries :D (cos they do you good) BUT :? cos they are YUK!

I will find out then about scan but she did say they normally scan at about 7 weeks so I still have about 3 to wait  :? , why why why do clincs all do things differently?????

Anyway..........

Smita - enjoy your walk and am sure your lower back pain is all to do with growing baby :D

Cheryl - enjoy your acupuncture, I can't wait for my next go!!! Enjoy your sleep too!

LP - enjoy your lie down and book, am sure like everyone else has said the levels must be low so are not worried. They do seem to have taken really good care of you up to now so am sure all is well. Hope you hear soon to put your mind at ease

Jacky - I am still to develop this "fruit" craving you all seem to have   although I did start eating a banana earlier and the smell was enough to put me off.......... hope you enjoy your shopping trip and hunt to find cherries  8)

Does this sound daft to anyone....(well sorry but I have to ask it anyway) - for the past 4 or 5 days all I have wanted to eat is meat, potatoes, veg and gravy (yum yum), I couldn't stomach eating anything spicy or even home made stir frys (I make all my own sauces like sweet and sour etc but yuk yuk yuk). I also made some butternut squash soup on Saturday which i normally love but that's been thrown away cos once it was cooked and I blended it I wanted to be sick!!!! But I don't normally feel nauseous

Tell me girls - am I just weird or what?!?!?!!? :D

Joanne

You sound perfectly normal to me. I have had a real thing about potatoes for a couple of weeks now - jacket spuds, butter and cheese every day, and usually I have one a month or maybe 2!!! As for going of food that is absolutely natural - I am a curry addict and have not been able to eat spicy food (chinese or indian) for most of the time - it leaves me with terrible heartburn and indigestion or just feeling really yukky. My Midwife told me that this is perfectly normal and to treat it as another good sign.

I have to admit I do really LOVE marmite at the moment. I've always been a fan, but at the moment can't wait to get up and have my breakfast. Nothing as strange as pregnant women is there

It's a beautiful day here - what about you lot.

Smita - I usually have a really nice complexion, just the odd spot at that time of the month, but for the last 2-3 weeks my skin has got really bad (I'm ashamed to go out!!! ). All the books I have read say that this can happen in the first trimester due to the hormone changes :!: :!: We can sympathise with each other!!!

Smita - so glad you're staying around for a while - we'll all have quite a lot of 2nd trimester cross over which is great. The nurturing system sounds fantastic - enjoy it!

love to everyone else

Yes Joanne and Lil P - I'm also enjoying my potatoes - the newer the better but have now gone off cherries - they seem to have reached end of season and are squidgy - yuk! nothing worse than a squidgy cherry!!
Unless you all know otherwise?! What else is turning stomachs?

Hi All

Sorry - still waiting. Ha - another test of my patience

Joanne, enjoy the potatoes - MMMMMMMmmmmmm, yummy!!! I particularly like mashed potatoes with garlic, butter and cheese - oh yes!!

Having a lovely totally unhealthy dinner tonight - having a healthy option tomorrow (Lasagne) so spoiling my taste buds tonight.

Cheryl, I know what you mean about cherries - they are just beginning to loose that lovely crunchy taste aren't they. Try green grapes - they are just wonderful and crisp at the moment.

Hey - can you do some "ringing phone" dances for me?

Jamato- Congrats on your 1st scan and I hope you are now relaxed after your bleed scare.Enjoy being preg.

Littlep- Still waiting to hear your results like you said proberbly its a good result otherwise they would have informed you sooner. Like you iam always nackered I dont wanna leave my bed at all. Iam craving nothing at the moment. Iam still finding it hard to eat and drink.

Smita- Iam so happy for you re- your nuchal scan. You must be relaxed now that the spotting has eased off. I will be joining you soon in the 2nd trimester. Please tell me how to do a ticker as well. My complexion has changed as well I usally have flawless skin. Have your nipples and aereolas(sp) changed, mine have become very rough, chapped and dark.

Cc- how are you I also peel my apples now, how funny. How are you.

jACS- hope you are ok.

I have become so lazy the only thing I like doing now is sleep. But Iam fine.

Thanks Esther - still all seems a bit unreal all of this - I dunno when it will finally sink in!!!!!!!!

Can I ask yet another question?! Is it ok to eat cottage cheese or not? I'm sure I read somewhere it was but don't want to risk anything

Also is there a good place or a good book which tells you the food to avoid and also ones that are particularly good for you (knowing my luck I won't want any of those  ).

After all of these years trying to get to this stage I find I actually know very little about it

How are you girls all feeling today?? I'm fine, was exhausted yesterday, dh sent me to bed at 7.30 (I was allowed to watch tv - how kind  ) but then I was WIDE awake at about 5.15 this morning......

Joanne

Good morning. My Midwife gave me loads of useful information about what to eat and what to avoid. Obviously you want to know as early as possible so I did loads of Google searches on the Internet to find out about the foods to avoid and the "safe" foods and "essential" foods. My GP did say one thing to me, if your body says you want "fish and chips" then have it, don't deny yourself unhealthy food just because you are pregnant.

Got to go and do the shopping in a minute - can't be bothered to even get dressed but guess I better do that before leaving.

Hopefully I'll finally get those results today - talk about a long wait :?

Hope that you are all ok - looks like it's going to be a scorcher 8) of a day - enjoy it.

Love and hugs

Little P
