sorry i havent been checking in but i really have been thinking of you all. o am getting very annoyed that af stiil hasnt arrived so i am off to the clinic on wed to see whats going on. either i start drugas without af or they give me provera and then i start day 21 OR maybe i am near to a natutal AF!!! who knows!!!! i wish i did this is dragging on and on.
I feel like i havnet been much support to anyone lately.

On the AF topic - I had an AF 3 days after a negative test after the 2ww - since then its been about 47days and I have not had an AF - I am supposed to by cycling again in Oct / Nov so the clinic have put me on a drug to bring on my AF - maybe you'll get the same.....?

I'm on the other end. I had my neg. Aug 21, same day as AF arrived, then the silly b!$@# arrived early on Sat. As my cycles tend more to the 31 days or so, getting it on day 27 was a real shock and I was unprepared. Thank God DH came to the rescue.
I'm starting IUI at the beginning of next cycle, and I'm toying with the idea of IVF after that.
I've had one positive, then early m/c, then one negative. Do you guys think I'm jumping to the IVF idea too early?

Abt IVF, why not take the IUI at hand and think abt it at first.. IVF is a lot more invasive- I'm not saying its bad- but look at the IUI at hand first and then you can see later I think,
On the pro side, IVF with ICSI does click on first go for most women..
I was told after 4 IUI's that its(IUI) not an option , have you gotten your tubes checked? I think you shd think of that if you haven't..Thats the one thing always on my mind cause no one bothered to check my tubes and I went thru unneccesary mental trauma.. So I feel that thats the first thing that should be done- even if we're just going to be put on clomid- as I went thru endless cycles of clomid as well!
I'm doing fine so far- still waiting for dh to come- mostly this friday, so counting down..

3 embies is not a bad idea, but I thought in IUI embryos were not involved? As in it only depended on the number of follies which fertilise and that too cannot be predicted? Or are you considering IVF?

IUI this cycle, then I think we'll seriously consider IVF. So the three embies is for when we're ready to try IVF.
I was talking with my co-worker today. It's interesting, her clinic does things so differently than mine. She's done 7 consecutive cycles with no breaks, and every day 3 they start a new protocal. Crazy. I kind of like the break in between, gives life a chance to be normal for awhile.

And you're right, going into one cycle following another can take quite a bit out of you, but then,it also depends on your mental set up at that time..
as in when my first iui failed, i ran straight into the next cause it would give me something to focus on.. it was after that failed as well, that I decided to give me and my emotions a break each time..
I had 3 embies trasferred and one's taken, so i think 3 is a good number- though 1 is all it takes in the end!!
How are the other under 30s?

Can you believe it - still no AF so thats 47 days so far since the last one!!!
I am supposed to be going again as soon as it arrives and my EC is planned for the 14th Nov - therefore no AF, no cycle! I gave the clinic a call last week and they have given me some pills to take, 3 times a day for 6 days (last day yesterday) apparently that should bring AF by Sat / Sun and then I can get started on the next cycle. Now I am worried that this last period is not technically 'normal' so will that impact on the success of my next ICSI???

How's it going? The clinic say my lining is quite thick so I will have AF soon!!!!! No need for drugs. Its more than 60 days since the last one!!!
denise - sorry i dont know anything about IUI but ivf is more invasive. I had icsi, so Smita, i am afraid it doesnt click fro most women first time - just the lucky ones!! isnt iui about 10% chance - so it will take time (i am not saying you should do it 10 times!!!) i have only had frozen ET so my chance per cycle is not much greater and i have to take loads of drugs each time, so dont rush a desicion! sorry it the stats are wrong - i think i read them on here somewhere.......

60 Days - that must be a record!!!! Isn't it ironic that before you think about getting pregnant, AF is a pain in the neck and frankly you could do without it - it always manages to come just at the wrong moment - like on holiday. Then, when you really need one it disappears - arghhhhh!
Not sure if drugs have worked - I only stopped taking them last night - the clinic say it should arrive on Saturday - fingers crossed......

Hope everyone is doing ok. It sounds like oct/nov are going to be a busy couple of months with lots of treatments going on. Good look to everyone.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that lots more of the under 30's gals will be pregnant before christmas, that would be so cool.
Smita - my bump is fine. I'm still being sick more often than not but enjoying things anyway. Sounds like you have an exciting time coming up with DH arriving. Lots of luck with your next scan. I have 1st proper scan on tuesday and am praying everything will be ok.
Nicki - hope you are enjoying your time out and are making lots of lovely birthday plans.

hi everyone im feeling a bit down at min waz ok n everything seemed ok for once. Until today when i bumped into an old friend from school. Who i havent seen since i left , as she has been living in spain for 8 yrs n recently came bk. Well shes 8 n a half month pregnant i waz thrilled for her. She looked as though she was ready to drop there and then. Its her first anyway she went on to tell me how she wishes she wasnt n cant wait to get it over with. Then she said that she wasnt wth the dad it happened after a one nite stand over in spain. I didnt know what to say especaially when she said "thought u would of had children by now, hw long have u been together". Well couldnt bring myself to tell her that wed been trying for 4yr after she had been telling me that she didnt want to be. She then carried on to say "anyway u dont want to b pregant anyway its horrible ive been sick all the way through". IF ONLY SHE KNEW

well, i am back and ready to go again. will be just behind ya. Af due end oct, and iui due 1st wk of nov. I know i was knocked down badly but hey i am back!!!! damn, i couldnt wait til next yr and dh couldn't wait either. so whilst on hols we decided to go agin next period.....
