Anyone that wants the pukey feelings can have them. LOL
Oh it's from the time I wake up until I go to bed it is miserable BUT I AM NOT COMPLAINING. I wouldn't trade it for anything. I went for my first prenatal visit last wed and they called yesterday to let me know I have a bladder infection, so not fun, but I didn't even know thought all the peeing was just the pregnancy.
DH went to Minnesota 2 weeks ago for the weekend I stayed home and he ended up breaking his ankle !! he is supposed to be caring for me. So not fair.

Hope everyone is doing well.
Love
Joy

Princess, have you tried the sea bands for the pukey feeling? It's just acupressure,no drugs. You can get them in most pharmacies. It sounds like you have a pretty severe case but they may help some. They worked well for me. Now I haven't had to wear them for a few days and of course I'm dreading that something's gone wrong with my babies.

Also, I have friends who've had a lot of luck with accupuncture for morning sickness. I know it's a "good sick" feeling but you shouldn't have to suffer all day long.

hi girls

i phoned my clinic up today to find out wots going on and have they forgot about me they said they only just got my notes from liverpool and have now been sent to the midwife so to expect a call from her
after a long chat about scans tests etc the lady at my clinic asked me to go in that afternoon for a overdue 12 week scan...this was my first belly scan all others have been internal ones and i felt like a proper mummy to be....wot a diff in the scan i could see the spine and loads of other diff things it was so amazing
i thought i was 13 weeks today but was told im 13 wks 3 days and everything was doing very well and thank god my ovaries have gone down
i also had a chat about the nuchal fold scan and i have to tell them by tomorrow if i want it or not...but talking to the doctor and the nurse they seemed to say its not nessasary (obviously in not so meny words)that all u find out is another figure of a % of the risk of it being downs..then u have to decide if u have the further test then decide if u want to terminate or not
im very confused at my feelings on this matter but dont want to put any risk on this 9year wait of a miracle
one good thing to come of this is i have another lovely picture and clearer again of my little one

Great news on the scan Jacs!!
Now you must be so relieved!!
Abt the NT, not all clinics do it, I guess you and your dh will decide what best needs to be done..
Now you can update your ticker by 3 days!!and cross over!!

Hope everyone else is fine..

That's fantastic - I'm so pleased things are moving forward for you.

We're off to Puerto Banus (Marbella) - I'm starting to get anxious now but can't wait to get there!!!

You're off on a cruise aren't you in November?

Jacs

We go to Marbella tomorrow for a few days and then in November going to Canaries for a quick getaway.

We decided to leave booking anything until we had the results of the treatment and then thought we ought to get something in before Little One arrives. We haven't had a break since November last year and I think DH is almost at breaking point. I don't work so my life is a permanent holiday!!!

Packing tonight - can't wait :D

Glad you've heard the heartbeat - it truly is a special moment and it really confirms everything doesn't it?

Take care and look after yourself.

Hi everyone - had lovely nuchal fold scan yesterday - we saw and heard heart beat (155bpm), saw the nasal bone, bladder working, tiny fluid at back of neck (1.6mm - good sign) and we were given a 1: 7600 risk of Downs which was fantastic (even though for my age it should be 1: 361) - I feel really relieved and we have a beautiful DVD recording of the scan which we've taken around everyone's houses and shown them! Obviously the choice of NT scan is entirely optional and if things were worrying I'm sure I'd regret having it but I have to say it was a lovely scan - so detailed. I'm goiing to move onto 2nd tri properly now but I wil be back and forth to check how everyones getting on. Jacs are you coming over now too? Hope so!
Loads of love and hugs Cherylxx

Jacs - have just been catching up on old posts. Congratulations on your 12 week scan - the difference is remarkable isn't it? - finally looks like a human not a puppy or something!I can completely understand you not wanting to bother with an NT scan - from the minute I booked mine I was terrified. I'm glad I did it now because it was beautiful but I don't know how I'd have felt if it hadn't gone well. So really it does make you wonder whether its worth the hassle. If you just want a slightly more detailed scan with DVD etc you can just book a scan privately rather than having the NT test I guess. The sonographer suggested yesterday that whilst NT scans can be useful - its also a fantastic sign if everything just looks fine, heartbeat fine etc which you know anyway from 12 week scan so it would be a little redundant anyway. I'm really chuffed for you - and to find your 2 days more pregnant than you thought which puts you a day or two before me in due dates doesn't it? How are you feeling - I feel really tired and washed out - much worse than 1st tri - where's my blooming stage? DH keeps saying 'Aren't you meant to feel randy soon?' and I keep thinking 'No, I've got a headache'!!!!!! Anyway, speak soon, Cherylxxx
