Hi everyone

I cannot believe how many people are testing at the end of september - I thought I was going to be the only one at one stage.

Welcome Vicki11 - we are sharing the same test date.. how are you feeling?

I am feeling a little nervous about doing the test on friday. I am definately not tempted to test early. too nervous to do that - I cannot believe how brave you all are to test early.

I am trying to stay positive but sometimes feel a little as if I am just going through the motions of day to day life and hopefully will have a lovely surprise at the end of the week.

Sending everyone lots of baby dust and hope that we have BFP's

cant sleep!

Post by jinny »

Sue- took the second test and that too was positive but not as strong a result as the first.
Going for the blood test tomorrow morning!

Glad to hear that no spotting from the embryo implantation is not necessarily a bad thing too!

i cant tell you how much this board has helped me keep same!

I dont want to put too much faith in the pee test- I won't truly believe its going to happen until I get the 'phone call tomorrow. I just feel that a successful result at the first time of trying is too much to hope for after so many years of disappointment when trying naturally (disappointment at the outcome not the process - in case dh is reading!).

Will let you know haow it goes. A brandy would be heaven!!!

Good luck on your test, Jinny! Sounds like a go!

Pootle- yeah, this has been a long 2ww. worried about the test on Fri. I won't test at home earlier. I don't want to be really upset yet beforehand. I did get some brown spotting when I woke up this AM. That made me panic. I even called the nurse this AM, being the paranoid person I am. She told me its nothing to worry about. That it could be an irritation or a it could be a good thing. I still worry of course. Other than that, not feeling much, just nervous!

Hi Everyone,

I'm also in 2ww. I'll be testing on Oct 3rd. 6 more days to go. I'm feeling very good now, a little too good. Since this monday, all the bloating, pain, sore boobs are gone. I hardly feel anything in the abdomen area. I'm wondering does it mean anything? I'm a little bit nervous.

Good luck to everyone.

Vicki

I am so nervous too about friday bu I am just doing the HPT and not the blood test. The nurses said this would be fine as it is 14 days after EC.

I am having pain in my left ovary, It has just started over the last 2 days and is getting worse. I too phoned the hospital and they said not too worry as it is probably brusing after the EC. The thing is it was fine for a week before the pain started - doesn't make sense, my left ovary was the one with the may folicles but I thought it had mended itself.

Has anyone else had this..???

Baby dust to everyone else

A little paranoid Pootle xxx

Hello. I am new to this site and am into my 2ww as well. I had an ET on Monday. I am nervous and excited. I am concerned about what symptoms I should be feeling. My blood test is not until Oct. 10th. That's a long wait. I don't know how I'm going to make it. Anyone else feeling any symptoms this early? I am using Progesterone every night/1 ml. Also, any info. on what the ET was like for anyone. My RE transferred three 6 cell embryos on day three after retrieval. My only concern is that they had some fragmentation. But, I'm trying to remain optimistic. Hope to get some replies. I love reading all of your thoughts.

Welcome aboard Babybooties,

I didn't and haven't had any symptoms whatsoever, except my ovaries hurt for a while after the EC. Just make sure that you rest up and do not get stressed and drink lots of water.

Oh actually I did have one symptom - my face and chest went bright red for 24hours but they said that was the anesetic.

I think everyone reacts differently.

I wish you well with your 2ww - I had the first week off work and just relaxed and watched dvds and did puzzles to keep myself occupied. I am actually glad it will soon be over.. just keep yourself busy - I will be thinking of you.

Hi Babybooties-

This has been a rather tortuous 2ww for me. 2 more days until the blood test. I really haven't had any symptoms. Had that brief spotting yesterday. But, I keep thinking I should have more symptoms and am looking for clues. Haven't had much of the soreness I thought I would either. But, everyone is different. Also, from what I've read, progesterone can give similar side effects as one would have as pregnancy symptoms.

Thanks so much for your responses. I wish you both much luck. This two week thing is so difficult, and I'm only 2 days into it. Please keep us posted on your progress. Vicki, you can get through two days with your eyes closed. You're almost there. Pootle, I hope the days go by quickly for you as well. I envy you both... you're at the home stretch.

ohss

Post by Smithy »

Hi to everyone

Thanks for the replys i had re my first post. Sorry i have not posted since but i have been in hospital ever since the post with severe ohss. I really started to be extremely poorly and went to hospital where ohss was diagnosed. This however has turned into a positive for me as i have a +ve pregnancy test. :D :D :D

It does mean i didnt have to wait the full 2ww and was told last sat that my blood results were showing a pregnancy horones. I have been so ill though i couldn't jump around the way that had been planned, i am however on the road to recovery i think and it is slowly sinking in that i am pregnant. :D

My consultant says that ohss is caused by the hormones from the pregnancy and is usually an indication of a multiple pregnancy..... heres hoping this is so we would be made up!

At the moment i am still retaining a huge amount of water which doesnt want to leave me, i usually have a 28" waist and at the moment i am measuring 36" it is most uncomfortable.

My thoughts are with all you other testers at the moment the agonising wait is just the worst.....hope everyone has all the luck in the world.

Paula, you mentioned you were testing the same day as me, any news?????
