Hi first tri ladies

It is very quiet here at the moment. Congratulations to all those with BFP's this month, it seems sept has been a really good month.

I had my first proper scan on tuesday. everything looked fine but they have put me forward by a few days so I am now 12 +3 rather than what my ticker says. I suppose I should be thinking about going over to the second trimester thread.

Hope everyone is doing ok.

Hi everyone

Congratulations Brandy, on your BFP! Hope all goes well with your scans.

Joy - Glad everything is going well with your pregnancy. It wont be long before you are in your 2nd trimester!

Olivia - Excellant news on your scan. Come over to the 2nd trimester now you are 12 wks +

I think its quiet on here, because most of the newly +ve are waiting for their scans first, over on the general forum. With all the BFP's in September Im sure it will become very busy soon!!

Take care everyone and enjoy every minute!
Love Kim

BRS I am 11 weeks Monday. and I am still scared to death,.
I had an early miscarriage in June so my nerves are running pretty high still.
The doctor keeps reasurring me that everything looks great, but you know how we women are. big worry warts.
How are you feeling so far?
Smita the ickies have gotten better. I bought the sea sickness bands they do work pretty well. I have to be on meds for the whole rest of the pregnancy though for UTI's I had on at the 8 week check up and it still isn't gone yet. So they want to keep me on something so it doesn't keep flaring up. How are you doing sweetie?
Love
Joy

Hey, Princess :) Thanks for making me feel normal :) I feel pretty good really...I am really tired, my chest is insanely sore, and have moments of nausea, but so far no throwing up. If it stays like this I will be very happy. I had a friend who was so sick she had to be hospitalized! Yes, so far I am counting my blessings. Although, my doctor said I should know by next week if I will have true morning sickness. I guess that's when most women start?? I guess we shall wait and see.

Just wanted to find out how long you are holding your pregnancy news until you share it with others? We have only told our families, but don't know how long we can hold in the news...as you all know we are very excited...and also very nervous. I am hoping I can last 2 months :)

BRS,
we were going to hold of until the 2nd tri, but DH started to tell people after our second ultra sound at almost 8 weeks, he got a little excited.
So pretty much everyone knows now.
I had the nausous feelings and only threw up once or twice, But yesterday at 11 weeks oh man it was bad. I couldn't believe how bad lol. I thought I was almost done with the sick feeling guess not. But If I only lose it once in a while I am doing ok.
When is your first scan?
Love

Hello. I'm new to this board and never thought I would see it. I just got my BFP last Fri. so its still new and I'm afraid to get too excited. Still need to ensure HcG levels rise, etc. So far, so good. Is everyone this nervous? I just hope to make it thru this 1st timester.

First Scan

Post by brs888 »

Well, just got back from the first scan, and saw one wonderful little heartbeat :) It's so tiny...about the size of rice the doctor said...it's amazing you can see a heart beating already! I go back to the clinic one more time on the 14th, and then I will start going to an OB.

At first they thought we were having twins. A part of me was disappointed when they saw just one heartbeat, but another part was relieved. I hope that doesn't sound horrible!

Hi all - congrats to new BFPs, its wonderful to be part of this site. I've been a bit busy lately and very quiet on the boards but I've been thinking about you all and thinking positive thoughts for first scans etc. Try to relax and enjoy being pregnant - we've waited such a long time, it's a shame to spend it worrying - easier said than done I know!
Lots of love and hugs to all and to all little ones, Cherylxx
