Danica

Welcome and congratulations on the scan - it's a beautiful time and one we all treasure so much. That first viewing of the heartbeat is really amazing isn't it?

Take care of yourself and good luck with the next few months.

Love and hugs

Little P

Welcome Danica - so happy to hear of your wonderful success. You really must relax because once a heartbeat has been detected the chances of embryo surviving go from about 50% up to 95% apparently so relax and enjoy those cravings! (P.S I think the litrerature says 95% just to cover themselves but once you've seen the heart beat you're basically on the home straight)
Enjoy, enjoy, love Cherylxx

At the 6 week scan, they saw 3 sacs with heartbeats....but one doesn't look very good. So that means twins or triplets.

Most people on this site have singleton pregnancies. If you are pregnat with multiples, PLEASE lend me your support!

Hello Ladies

I thought it was time to move over here. I had my first scan yesterday and am expecting Twins! Still a bit overwhelmed by the thought of it. DH keeps going off in his own little world - he was so facinated by the heartbeats yesterday.
I have been discharged by the clinic back to the care of my own doc - which will make life a bit easier. So far I have had no real symptoms - no sickness. I am just very tired all the time and I am already looking for maternity trousers at 8 weeks! - which as I am expecting twins is no real surprise!

We are away now for a week to get some sun before the winter sets in!
I have been totally useless this week sorting out the washing and packing!
I still have soooo much to do! (we fly this afternoon!)

Hi to all the ladies from the "waiting for 1st Scan thread", Danica, KC, Brandy.

Take Care everyone
Best wishes
Ange

Ange

Congratulations on your double bundle - don't worry about already needing maternity clothes, I had to go into maternity trousers at 6 weeks!!

Have a wonderful holiday and get loads of rest.

How is everyone feeling? I am still amazed at how quickly this tiny "piece of rice" is taking over my body. I was exactly 6 weeks on Wednesday and started feeling nauseous the day before. I thought I was going to sail through this without anything   Goes to show what I know. :P I haven't actually gotten sick, but I just feel yucky all day. I try to carry snacks to keep something in my tummy at all times. This helps, but is no cure.

How about the rest of you...any nausea...if so any tips?

Yes, I'm having multiples. I believe I am still in shock.

My latest symptom - the light-headedness. Like seriously, feeling all weird and spaced out.

And what's up with this @(#*(@*#&$ heartburn!!!!!

How's everybody feeling?

I am feeling pretty lucky. I have occasional nausea, and for some reason some days are worse than others, but that's really it :) I mean don't get me wrong...some weird things are going on...my chest and abdomen have a million veins that I can see through the skin, my chest is so insanely sore, and some other weird things that I won't mention, because it would be way TMI...but I feel great!

I have a second scan this Friday the Oct. 14th, and that will be the last time I visit the clinic. I had to find an OB in my area, which was a feat in itself!

have a great day girls!

Brandy

Good to see you here.

Wishing you loads of luck with the scan on Friday - it's great being able to see the foetus so early isn't it?

Take care and look after yourself.
