So sorry you're feeling sick, KC. That's got to be really hard with work and all. I have been lucky and only have the occasional bad day.

Ange, sounds like things are going great for you. DH and I are about to start our 10th week and will have a scan either this week or next. Do you think we will be able to see movement as well?!

At 8 weeks we saw blobs on the screen and they pointed out the heart beat to us.

By 11 weeks we could see a very definate baby shape and they were moving about quite a bit (once they woke up!) waving and kicking. I was amazed how much they had developed in a short space of time. As Smita says, you should see some movement. Hope it goes well!

Just thought I would pop in here and see how you are all getting on.

Hope you are all getting loads of rest and not suffering too much with sickness.

Well, had my first ob appointment yesterday as a "regular pregnant woman", and everything appears to be fine. I was disappointed in that they won't do another scan until 18 weeks. Apparently insurance will only pay for 1 or 2 ultrasounds per pregnancy. I was so used to seeing the baby every few weeks that this will be really hard! I was spoiled! I am sure it will seem more real when I start getting a bump, but until then this is going to be difficult!

I was also disappointed that he didn't have much advice about my sciatic nerve pain. He did recommend some stretches and hopefully that will help a little. I think dh was happy because it is something he can help me with :) I was thinking about going back to my accupuncturist to see if that would help. Has anyone tried this?

How is everyone feeling?

New to this site

Post by Jo Hillier »

Hi Everyone

I am new to this site. I had a positive pregnancy test at Bourn Hall Clinic on Friday 21st October - 1 week today, still in shock. I am soooo scared!!! I had never prepared myself for this bit, just prepared myself for getting through the treatments. Am totally unsure what to expect now. We have our first scan on November 11th - will be day 35. I am terrified at every twinge - is this normal????

Is anyone else at about the same stage as me out there?????

Look forward to hearing from you soon

Smita - I have one of those bands....it doesn't work for me! With these multiples growing in me, he said that my sickness is a bit worse.

I don't want to jinx it....but most of yesterday and this morning I feel SO good. I don't have that tired feeling!!!

We saw the wee ones on the scan yesterday. They have developed their umbilical cords, but they still look like blobs to me :)

Hope everyone is having a great 1st trimester! We are so happy these days to be here :D

Welcome Jo

Nice to have you here - believe me you are not alone with the anxieties. Unfortunately, I think we all get them!!

Good luck with everything

Brandy

Glad the scan went well - I know it's difficult to accept that you are going to have to wait until the next official scan - especially given the fact that we are spoilt so early with quite a few of them.

KC

Glad that you had a good day yesterday - keep looking after yourself and the twins.

Good luck all.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Trying to get thru the day at work. I'm basically nauseous all day and night. Yikes! I'm 8 wks and have several more weeks of this. On a good note, we had a scan a week ago and saw the heartbeat of one baby. So, we're excited! I am now discharged from our RE (who was great) to go to my OB. Good luck to everyone!

Hey ladies! Have a question about something that has been bothering me. I am 9 weeks 3 days today and over the last week I've noticed that my chest is not near as sore as it was previously. Is it normal for this feeling to fluctuate throughout the pregnancy or should I be worried?

Don't worry about lack of chest pains - mine stopped completely at about 8-9 weeks and started up again at about 14 weeks - I have now grown 3 cup sizes!! Scary! All our symptoms fluctuate and there's also a difference to how you feel when the placenta takes over the baby's development (which is about now for you) so don't worry - just enjoy being pregnant and cherish every feeling or lack of feeling. Just trust that everything's goiing well.
Good luck, Cherylxx

Thanks, Cheryl! I must admit I am much more paranoid about things now that I don't get the regular ultrasounds. There's just something about seeing the little thing that puts my mind at ease. I will try to follow your advice and just enjoy :)

HI Girls!

I think I am ready to join in this group! I had my first scan on Monday, and will be 6 weeks tommorrow. Still can't actually believe it, but have the ultrasound pictures to prove it!

I have a complete lack of symptoms other than the tiredness and well, an attitude. I , of course, blame it on the hormones. I guess I should be happy that I have zero sickness, right?

Ultrasound for heartbeat on Monday- so excited! Although, doc has already warned me that the yolk sac in the gestational sac was hard to find, so baby may like to play hide and seek. Uncooperative already, definitley part of the daddy's side.

Steph

Good to see you here.

Good luck with the heartbeat scan on Monday - I know you'll find it as much of a miracle as we did, and believe me that sound impresses me everytime I hear it.

Take care
