Have a lovely week (building snowmen for any UK people)

I got my BFP on 18th Nov, I didn't feel ready to post over on this thread though before today as I was having my HCG levels checked, my first came back at 19, 2 days later it was 72, and today (2 days later) it was 170. Doctors are quite happy with it now but still say it's early days (not sure how to take that)
Anyway my 1st Scan is on 2nd Dec, I am very nervous, but also very excited..!
Not really experiencing any symptoms yet, just feeling quite tired..!
Take Care everyone
Lucy

Welcome!! I've been reading bout your stressful time. Docs always say its early days, I think its just to cover themselves. I even say it myself, and I'm just over 12 weeks!! You think the worrying would end after getting a BFP but it just continues. Try and relax and enjoy the fact that you are pregnant.
Thanks for your message, yes it is a very worrying time isn't it, and I just know it won't get any easier, but it will definately be worth it at the end of it all..!
Congratulations on your own pregnancy, does it feel a bit easier when you get over your 12 week mark?

Hi Lucy, when you get chance, have a read back over previous first tri posts - it'll help you to get a sense of what others have experienced and also to reassure yourself that everything is normal. Some have symptoms, others have none - the only thing that we all have in common is having this slight sense of worry in the back of our minds forever more! Getting past 12 weeks is great but then you start worrying about other things! I'm not trying to put you off because it's the most incredible feeling ever and the pros outweigh the cons by millions, just saying that if you feel plagued by a worry niggle - don't worry, it's perfectly normal, you do get used to it and from what I hear we'll probably always have it even when our little ones are 20 or more!! Enjoy yourself and keep posting about any slight worries - no-one will think you're being paranoid - we all know what it's like.
Love and hugs,
Cherylxx

I have been reading through a lot of the other posts, also the 1st trimester, I must say it did make feel better, to know everyone else has the same concerns / worries.
I know I will still be worrying when my child (children) are over 20, as my mum keeps telling me, she still worries about me, just because we are grown up it doesn't stop them worrying...!
I am very excited at the moment, I think it has just sank in that I am actually pregnant, I don't seem to have any symptoms though really, but I am not letting that bother me as I have read a lot of other people do not experience any either, I can't believe though I am actually wanting to feel sick..!
Can't wait for my first scan on 2nd Dec, very nervous but excited at the same time..! Also can't wait to tell people, I have only told immediate family, friends and colleagues will have to wait until I am at my 12 weeks..! Did you wait until you told people.???
Love Lucy

Ok I am joining you ladies on this thread---but very nervous to do so (I am a worry wart). We've had a rocky few weeks (seemingly got period during 2 ww; then got a positive hcg; then found out it wasn't doubling properly; then told next hcg test did double ok-but could not ignore the history of the one that did not; then went in for scan and no yolk sac seen when it should have been there; and the final news was a scan a few days after that and yolk sac found!). Go in for a scan on 11/28 and I will be 7 weeks and 4 days. Have no symptoms at all and just tons of worry-but since no bleeding or any major cramping, I am hopeful. I would love to share in this journey with those of you who are at the same stage as I. Where is everyone from?
Anastasia,
Welcome to this side.. I just want to wish you loads of luck for your scan on Monday.
I didnt have any symptoms either- and did have scary spotting also to boot in the 1st tri!
Keep us posted.
Leigh,
Good Luck for the 2nd!Just think of the celebrations following!

Anastacia I'm so delighted that things are still goiing well for you after such a traumatic start. Just think - all these hurdles you have already overcome must be a good sign for the strength of your little embie - it's holding on whatever nature throws at it which I think is a fantastic sign. Good luck for your scan and don't worry about no symptoms - I had none in the early days and I didn't suffer at all from sickness.
Lucy - I didn't tell people till after 8 week scan - I had promised myself I would after 12 weeks but to be honest I couldn't wait any longer! I think I decided that if anything did go wrong I would still tell people I had been pregnant - it was too important to me to pretend it never happened so I didn't really mind who knew. Plus the research suggests that a good heartbeat at 8 weeks gives you 95% chance of success so I decided the odds were no different than 12 weeks really. Keep enjoying this wonderful feeling and I'm glad you've got some reassurance from old posts.
Best wishes,
Cherylxx

How are you doing.? I'm OK, have my first scan on Friday, I am very nervous, but hoping all goes well. I still have no symptoms, apart from sometimes my boobs feel a bit heavier and bigger but then they seem to go down again... I know you didn't get any symptoms though early on,. and not much sickness so I'm hoping I'm lucky like you..!
Hi Anastacia, Hope your scan went OK today, and you have overcome all those hurdles..! Good luck.
