Metformin is like glucofage- it is a form of insulin that they give to PCOS patients to try and keep the Insulin level in control.

thank you for the information. I am sorry to hear you had such a difficult time.. I have to believe we all have to go through things like this to make us stroger.. thats at least what I keep telling myself.. I have an IUI (I think they are scheduling this for Sunday so I will keep praying. baby dust to you all

Sorry I have not written.. Well the IUI in November did not work. AF showed up Dec 19th 
I called the doctor and said that I wanted to find out what the next step was. She stated we could do a laprsocopy exam to see if anything additional is going on.. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this..With the PCOS I just figured get me to ovulate and we could go from there but now it seems like I may have an additional problem.. I am also scared about what if they do the lap and find nothing than why have the 2 iui's not worked yet... I am thinking if they find nothing we will just move to IVF and if they did find something hopefully they could clear me out and we could try another IUI.. Does anyone know if this works? Can you do a Laproscopy and can they clear you out (if there is anything to clear) than you can get pregnant.. Thanks for any words of advice
