Progesterone question please...

Post by tennisgurl »

Hi

I received my BFP last Friday 12/14 my beta was 85.9 progesterone was 36.6

Had my second beta yesterday 12/21 my beta was 2758 and progesterone was 16

My re said everything is fine he is continuing 1cc of progestereone nightly he didnt up it....

I called today to question the low level progesterone.....the office confirmed my re is not worried .....

Isnt this really low??? I am worried about a miscarraige......
Can anyone shed any light on this for me or share your progesterone numbers???

Thanks ladies ...good luck!!!

Thanks

I wouldn't worry as much about the progesterone as the Beta. As long as your beta is increasing you are good. Not every clinic measures the progesterone, mine only checked it a couple days after my transfer and never again. Do you do another beta check? I had 3 and then had to wait til my sonogram to see how many were in there.
I wouldn't worry, just have to wait more for the 1st U/S. I think that is harder than the 2ww!!
Good luck,
Allison

Tennisgurl-

I read that in early pregnancy, doctors look for a progesterone level of at least 10, and you surpass that. My progesterone level had dropped also a few weeks back from 53 to 48, then rose back to 71. As with the beta number, it seems there's a big range of normal (9-47 is the normal progesterone range during first trimester, according to that same website). Good luck!
