Okay, so I was coming home from work and curiosity got the better of me... Yup, I weakened and POAS right before going out to dinner. NEGATIVE!! Not even a HINT of positive!
Well, one big sigh came out, but I put on a brave face and walked out of the bathroom. After all, I had been pretty sure that none of the three 4-cell embryos would make it. They just didn't look like the picture and the doc gave me odds of about 37%.
So we went out to dinner, and hubby was being tired and cranky. Behind us was every infertile woman's nightmare. (You know the one! The loud, greesy, smoke-smelling, major-exposed-bra-under-skin-tight-halter shirt young mother with the perfect infant at her side! (Okay, I don't know her soul, but her exterior was giving me lots of clues!))
So during the course of dinner, DH finally notices I am depressed and keep asking to go home. He refuses to leave unless I tell him why I'm down at the dinner table. So I tell him and we went home. Waiting for me in the mail from Netflix is "Waitress," the story of a single, young woman's coming to terms with her pregnancy! Yikes! Not watching that! So instead I decide to mope and go ahead and break out some wine! (Afterall, the stick said "no!") Two big glasses of wine and one big crying fit later, I got to bed.
This morning DH drives me to the doctor for my beta. I tell the MA at the clinic what happened, and to not fell bad about letting me know the bad news, as I already know. She hugged me and told me she would call me later.
So on the drive back, DH and I discuss how our life is going to be, since we would never be a family outside of the two of us. We decide instead of going to Vegas, to go ahead and get a small RV trailer we had been looking at, since we would now have lots of time and financial freedom. We are talking with the sales people when my cell-phone rings....
BFP! Beta of 60.85!

Well, we didn't buy the RV trailer! (The dealer was actually pretty understanding and kind about the whole thing!)
So I guess the moral is don't POAS before the beta!
Next beta is Monday! Pray for numbers to go up!
