Hi there! Yes, the waiting game is tough, especially the first tmt!
The studies I have read concluded that bedrest doesn,t make any difference. Some observed that it can do more harm than good, because of the risk of developing clots (you know that, since you work in a hospital) and because the blood flow is disrupted given that you move less, and that might affect nesting/implantation (that's why so many clinics prescribe baby aspirin during IVF or FET, it does make a difference). So bedrest is a no-no for me, and for the clinic too. It's 1 hour of bedrest at the clinic after transfer, and off you go. They only advise you to take the day off and stop exercising until you see a heartbeat. I took public transportation right after I left the clinic, I worked as usual, I went for walks and I led a normal life and I still became pregnant twice with FET.
That being said, I agree with the others: you do need to rest more than usual after your embies come back home. We only get to give it a few tries, might as well give ourselves all the chance we can. Generally, it is advised not to lift anything that weighs more than 5 pounds when you're pregnant, so it also applies for the 2ww. Your profession involves physical work, so you definitely have leverage to discuss the situation with your supervisor and your doctor.
Good luck!
