Excuse the pun, but my midwife said today that there is a saying that the taller you are the longer the length of your pregnancy......so all you tall ladies be prepared to go the distance.........
Something to do with the length of body being bigger provides more room for the baby to grown and until it starts to feel squashed it doesn't attempt to leave!!!

I don't think that my family meet your midwife's criteria. My sister and I are both only average height - 5'6" - but she got to her due date with her first pregnancy and I never went into labour with mine (had elective casearean at 39 weeks). And my Mum was only 5'4" but I was 2 weeks late, my sister was 1 week late and my twin brothers arrived the day after their due date.
So how tall are you, pregnancy length-wise?!

YEp - tall story that one - has not applied to any of my tall friends and the short ones have been induced
