Hi Ladies,
Do u mind if i butt in! Im curious as to how you got 3 free goes on the NHS?? I dont begrudge anyone, and i really hope u get a BBFP from it, no woman should have to go thru what we are all going thru at the moment.
I live in Northern Ireland and had to pay for my treatment. I am 38 and already have 2 children by my ex husband! I know they dont give free goes to women who have already got kids, but my husband has none - i did try and ask for half price lol, but that didnt work!
NHS funding in our area is a no no anyway - weather i had kids or not, i just dont think its fair that our postcodes make a difference as to who gets what, when and how many?
Also i think it is way too expensive, we paid all in all in the region of £4,800 thats with all consoltations, drugs and follow ups. For something thats as common as it seems to be - i think the goverment should re-assess the pricing, if we were to pay 3 times that would be around £14,000 all in all - the goverment and the private sector seem to be punishing women like me!
Sorry - i dont usually do politics, but i get angry that some places get free and some dont!
P.S - If i was living in ur area, i'd be first on the list (If theyd have me lol) so dont think im having a go at u ladies, cos im not, bloody goverment im having a go at!
Good Luck for ur BFP's
