How Successful is Surrogacy?

Success rates of surrogacy treament depend on many factors such as the age of the woman whose eggs are ovtained, the quality of the partner or donor sperm, thesurrogate ability to get pregnant.

For traditional surrogacy, the success of the treatment will depend on the fertility of both the female and male and is in region of 5-15% per cycle.

For IVF surrogacy, a live birth rate of about 30-40% per cycle is expected.

in 2016, there were 232 surrogacy treatment cycles performed in the United Kingdom with a live birth rate per embryo transfer 26% and per treatment cycles 31% and almost 60% of the cycles were frozen (HFEA report 2018)
