Hey -

Just checking in -

I'm still on bedrest. Not bored or anything. I have had a few visitors and frankly they exhaust me. It''s hard for me to digest and talk w/out getting winded and tired. so if they bring food.

What has surprised me is how few people have offered to help run an errand ...

Hey all -
I'm joining the bedrest brigade!

Mon night I realized I hadn't felt one twin since saturday. called the doc and they said to go to hospital for an ultrasound. while there, the babes were great, but I was having contractions every 4 minutes and didn't even feel it!

so, they gae me the ...

msfixit - wow. that is just amazing news! congrats!

Look don't worry about that stuff. Most people don't know they are pregnant for 6 weeks and drink and do all kinds of stuff. just let any extra worrying go, and make a good diet and action plan going forward, you know? try not to let anything ...

Hey -

just checking in - I made it to the third trimester! yay!

Last week my boys measured big for 25 1/2 weeks. 2lbs 8 and 2lbs 7! Both facing down and the cervix is good. She said it looks like we'll be able to go for a vaginal birth. Now, to find a doula!

Silver Angel - even though your ...

Yes, My friend was put on bedrest at 24 weeks for the same thing. she is now 30 weeks, and they said if she makes it to 34 they'll take her off bedrest!

I guess, I would start lying around more. you aren't on bedrest now, but if you can take a couple of hours every day and read on the sofa or ...

I highly recommend the snoodle pillow. It helped me stay on my side. For some reason using a big pillow was just so uncomfortable. It's $50. but you might find one on ebay, and then you can get a new cover for it (or wash the one it comes with) I saw they sell covers at babies r us.

congrats on ...

Congrats on your girl. One name will stick. We had three names and ten two just took. And that's been it.

Glad the scan went well!

Baby bargains is the bomb. I registered at Babies R us and then at a nicer store called giggle for a couple of hip things that babies r us didn't carry. I will say ...

Hey -

I went to the Center for Human Reproduction (they have a website) and specialize in the DHEA protocol. Dr. Barad is like the best doc I have ever had for anything (looks like george carlin!) I was an older, poor responder and told by the folks at St Lukes to just give up and move on (last ...

My optimum snoogle position is the C position. I sleep w/ it running down my back (keeps me from fully rolling over) and the bottom of the C comes up through my knees. and the top is a bit of a pillow. sometimes I'll roll the other way. Also if I do roll on my back, I'm not wholly on my back and ...

Vadersmom - Hey - there is a support group (online) for women on bedrest. I will try to find the info. Someone in your maternity ward might know it, but you'll get to chat w/ other women who are on bedrest with you! I will look today and try to post later.

someone posted about pancakes a page ago ...

Yeah, this is the third thread where someone got really nasty. I think I'm done with the IVF boards.
I don't get the impulse to be nasty, even if you disagree w/ someone.

On some level, I would just take the shower, but I'm not you so I tried to be helpful, but I just can't take these threads ...

Exactly Babyhope1.

I got lots of stuff second hand from my sister (tub, pac n play, sheets, bouncy seat, stroller) so my registry has other stuff I need, want. I would hate to have to return a bumch of stuff I don't need, you know?

A couple of things. _ I second the need to use the book baby bargains. It really helps you focus on what you need. FOr example the Ikea crib gets an A rating for saftey and value and and $100, I could get a better mattress made w/ organic materials.

two - hand me downs - take them. . sure, would I ...

I can understand. I had 13 people at my wedding and found our after party awkward and strange.

But perhaps you can find a way to be gracious and enjoy it anyway. Consider it a party for the baby. Imagine yourself talking about the baby, and receiving things you'll need for the baby.

(I am both ...
