Re: Don't Give Up...Companies that offer IVF Coverage

I am impressed by your determination and actually calling the companies and getting the group number. Wow! My hat's off to you!!

And I didn't think of the vacation option. I guess I was thinking in terms of not knowing actual cycle dates. My RE's clinic is almost an hour drive each way, so that's ...

Re: Don't Give Up...Companies that offer IVF Coverage

Hours were put into researching progressive minded companies that cover IVF and to what extent.

Just curious how you were able to find to what extent they cover IVF? I know there are lists of companies circulating out there about who offers infertility treatment, but how do you find out the ...

My OB used Cord Blood Registry (CBR) for her own kids and I went with them as well, after doing my own research. I had already made up my mind, but knowing that my own OB used them sealed the deal They are the largest cord blood bank and have the most experience. They market the fact that they are ...

I used 75 mg. I bought it at Walmart. It was the Schiff brand. From what I have read, it is recommended to take it for 3-4 months before egg retrieval. I took it for 4 months. I bought the 25 mg tablets and took two in the morning and one in the evening.

My RE had no issues with me taking it ...

For those that have done multiple IVFs, how do you afford it

Just curious when I read about women that have done numerious IVF cycles and just wondering how they afford it. Does your insurance cover it and if so, who is your insurer?

P.S. I turn 44 next month. We were successful on our first IVF try just 3 months shy of my 43rd birthday. Had 28 eggs, of ...

Joy42,

Can you keep me posted with a private message if you do undergo another IVF and what you learn in the meantime? Likewise, I will keep you posted if I do the same because here's my story (like yours)...

I had IVF with my own eggs just 3 months shy of my 43rd birthday.
They harvested 28 eggs ...

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I can only imagine how you must feel.

I do have some leftover meds I would like to sell, as I lost my job while I was on bedrest due to pregnancy complications and frankly, could use the income to offset what I spent.

Please feel free to send me a private message ...

After researching DHEA, I decided to take it on my own. I learned about it from coming across the website of another reproductive center. Here is their link:

Anyone familiar w/use of Provera to stimulate AF after baby?

I had a successful first IVF and now have a 6 mo old (YAY!) I have three frozen embryos and because of my age (44 next month!) have to get on the fast track for baby #2.

I am exclusively breastfeeding and plan to wean (sadly) toward the end of Jan, but I have to look at the long term goal of having ...

My placenta is completely on the bottom, like a "U" shape. If it were like a "C" shape on either side of the uterus, it would have a chance to move off my cervix, but my dr said she has never seen one move that was completely on the bottom. The entire placenta would have to shift from a "U" to a "C ...

What I wish I had asked my IVF doctor...

I went through CCRM in Denver and had a successful first attempt IVF. I am about halfway through my pregnancy.

However, I am having complications, which my doctor has indicated will likely put me on mandatory hospital bedrest (when I start to bleed, which typically happens between wks 24-28) and a ...

Likewise, I was also strictly told to avoid baths because they raise your internal body temp which is not good for a delicate embryo.

I am now at 7 weeks pregnant and was told that I could take a bath but the water should be no hotter than 101 degrees and I should not immerse my belly completely ...

I have been googling because I'm NOT having any symptoms, other than bigger boobs, which I figured could be attributable to the progesterone supps. I don't feel any different and suppose I am in a bit of denial as it still seems surreal. Even my first u/s next week probably won't do it. I think I ...

My ET was on Sept 13th. I had 28 eggs retrieved. They considered me to have been hyperstimulated. I was told to take in as much water and salt as I could. Your body produces fluids to displace the eggs removed and if you hyper stimulate, your body can produce excess fluid. It sounded counter ...

Leftover IVF meds

Does anyone know the best way to sell leftover, unopened and unexpired IVF meds? I have Menopur, Follistim, Vivelle and Endometrin. I also have about 10 sealed pregnancy test kits and about 20 sealed ovulation test kits. I would hate for them to go to waste and I really, really could use the money ...
