Re: December Transfers??

I absolutely love this board...I'm totally feeding off of everyone's excitement and love that we're all so close in timing!

Had my blood drawn today. My doc was the one who called back (usually it's an IVF nurse) saying that at this point they want to see the e2 between 100 and 200 and that I'm at ...

Re: December Transfers??

Just wanted to pop in and say that my first follistim shot didn't sting anywhere near as much as it did when I had to take them as IM shots 8 years ago! Woohoo! No stinging, but it's tender now, unlike the Lupron shots (I don't even feel those.) I started with 200 units tonight and go in for ...

Re: The Attain IVF Refund Program

I think $20K is the refund program. We're doing a discounted program (not refundable) because we didn't meet one of the criteria for the refund program...don't remember what it was, though. They've got my thumbs up either way :)

Re: The Attain IVF Refund Program

We're not doing the refund program, but we are doing the program where you get 4 tries (2 fresh, 2 frozen) for $14,000. Their customer service has been out-freaking-standing and everyone I've spoken to has been absolutely awesome to talk to.

Re: December Transfers??

Mishell, I don't remember a lot about that time (only 8-ish years ago, but feels like a lifetime ago) but I do remember that they stung like a sonofagun. That could have been because they were IM shots and not sub-q like they are now. And I agree, I like hearing the facts straight-up, not candy ...

Re: December Transfers??

Welcome, Mishell!

I've never done the menopur, but folliSTING and I go way back. Follistim is quite the opposite of Lupron for me in that I hardly feel anything with the shot. I don't feel the needle, don't feel the "stuff" and the only thing I feel is a tiny bit of itching after, but that goes ...

Dunno...I'm only on 10 right now, then down to 5 when I start stims.

Re: December Transfers??

Hi all, just checking in :) Tonight was day 7 of Lupron injections and I'm definitely feeling side effects. The biggest of them all would be the exhaustion! Man, yesterday I woke up with the kids at 7, we all took a 2 hour nap (older one was home from school with a stomach bug) and I STILL went to ...

Re: December Transfers??

I wanted to try doing my first shot last night, but totally chickened out. Hubbster did it for me, but tonight, it was all me :D He's leaving on Sunday for a week + 1 day and I figured I needed to "man up" and learn how to shoot up. And as silly as it sounds, having really cool band-aids helps. I've ...

Re: December Transfers??

I think it's interesting how much RE offices vary with proceedure, schedules, etc. Dr Thomas likes to transfer 2 at day three, but I guess it comes down to what the eggs do. I didn't know that some practices let patients decide how many to transfer. I think this whole world of IVF is fascinating ...

Re: December Transfers??

Ryann, thanks for the info! I am SO sorry you've been on it for this long! Sounds very unpleasant :( I've heard the same thing about the time it takes for the side effects to kick in. I'm going to a scrapbook retreat with my bff next weekend and am going to bring an arsenal of tylenol so that I can ...
