Hi Susie,

when you say you had tests at 20 weeks do you mean for downs and spina bifida?

If so then no, there is no other conclusive test than the amnio and the cvs(?), both of which carry a risk of miscarriage.

I'm 27 weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby and opted not to have the tests this time due ...

Hi Traci

welcome to the boards. I just wanted to tell you my story and hopefully offer you some hope for the future.

We were diagnosed as unexplained too. We had been ttc for approx 3 1/2 years and were about to begin IUI treatment when a miracle happened and I fell pregnant with my little boy. He ...

Hi jen

we opted for Jane travel system with the matrix car seat. I'm not sure I would again though although I wasn't necessarily unhappy with it, it's just large and quite cumbersome which I thing most travel systems are. I think a few people have bought the bugaboo and all have appeared happy with ...

Thanks girls for your mmr opinions. I had more or less decided on single jabs, but in December found out I'm expecting again. I panicked then than Dan could pick up German Measles at nursery. It sounds awful that suddenly it was ok for him to have the mmr to safeguard the new baby. But it isn't like ...

Oh Mag......thank god I'm hearing of another head banging horror child! Dan started head butting us over night, mind you is it wrong that I find it hilarious? This morning in bed I told him to stop nutting Daddy, so he nutted me, I said that's naughty, and got a poke in the eye!

Hi Dagny,

I've dreaded seeing this post from you, but when you didn't post after your scan I started to worry that something might be wrong.

It's beyond belief that so much tragedy can be visited upon a couple.

The only comfort that can be had is that your little angel Katelyn has a new angel in ...

Dagny,

I'm so glad to see you back on the boards, and am thrilled to see that you're expecting again.

Your post brought tears to my eyes, but like Lorraine I can't really find the right words. I'll be hoping and praying though that everything works out for you and David, and that next year you'll ...

Hi Bina,

I don't have any personal experience with strep b (had never heard of it until after my baby was born) but remember reading an article about a woman whose baby was stillborn because of it. Apparently if caught there's no problem as you just need a course of antibiotics before the birth ...

What a dilemma. Like Phil I definitely think it's worth a go, but know what you mean about the language barrier, and lets face it if you have no confidence in the treatment then that could affect the outcome. Try getting a refund, if you manage it then look for another practitioner who you feel ...
