Just Checking In On the Home Stretch

Hello Everyone - I don't know if you remember me from back in May/June. I have been bad about getting on this board. The first 20 weeks I was sooo sick. Everything has been going smoothly since then - once the doctors got past the AMA (advanced medical age) factor. I'm so glad to see everyone that ...

Hello Little P -

Day 1 is calculated from your EC date for the age of the baby. But the 40 weeks goes back to the first day of your last menstrual cycle. My doctor created the second date for me to use when going to my regular OB/GYN.

Hope you're doing well. You are sooo close to the big day!

Steph -

My doctor put me on 81mg/day. He did not specify time of day, with/without food, etc. I always take it with my prenatal vitamin (so I can remember) with a light snack at night.

I did a little research on the aspirin with IVF and it looks like it can do nothing but good.

Good luck!

Julie,

Thank you for sharing that story. I was thinking about doing the same thing - asking my doctor's office if another couple could use my leftover meds. After reading that story, I'm going to make the time to follow-up with my RE.

Hi Steph,

I had a +ve in May 05. We ultimately transferred 2 8-cell on day 3. 1 took. We used ICSI on both embryos transferred. My RE had me on progesterone and aspirin (I'm 11 weeks now and have to stay on both for another 2 1/2 weeks).

I hope that helps!

Hello Everyone,

I haven't been on here for a while. It seems like all I do with my free time these days is sleep to help deal with the naseau. No complaints though - as my mother reminded me . . . I paid $$$ to feel this way. She is right.

I hope everyone is feeling well. Does anyone know when ...

Hello Mayflowers. I think I'll join in too. I was one of the early BFP's on the May 05 test board. I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one who had mixed feelings about posting on the general board. I am so happy for everyone and their BFP's and my heart aches for those who got BFN's.

We just had our ...

Katy - Thank you for sharing your information. I went back for a follow-up blood test and the doctor's office said everything looked great and that the patches did exactly what they were supposed to. I was relieved. I am on Progesterone too, but they have us doing it through shots. I asked the ...
