Baby P arrived 9 weeks early and is doing great!!

Hi Everyone-
Just wanted to let you know that our son Ben surprised us all (even the doctors) by arriving last Wednesday night at 31 weeks. He's a champ at 3 pounds 9 ounces and 17 inches long. Currently he's still hanging out at the Special Care Nursery, but we spend as much time as we can with him ...

Hi Sita,
I'm 36, was diagnosed with PCOS at 17. I am now 20 weeks pregnant with a baby boy. We did 3 rounds of clomid; 2 IUIs one with clomid and injectables; and then 1 round of IVF.
Good Luck!!

Whoops, Joanie, you asked about how the IVF procedure worked-

Here's how it worked for me:

FIrst they put me on birth control pills for a few weeks.

Then, every night for a week or so, my husband gave me an injection in my stomach of Lupron - which basically puts your body into menopause. I had ...

Dear Joanie,
I think trying to educate yourself will be a huge support to your daughter. This website is an excellent resource and the women are so very supportive.

I think the best way to be supportive is to ask your daughter what kind of support she wants/needs from you. While I was going through ...

Lucy,
I'm 16 weeks pregnant. At 8 or 9 weeks I had bleeding like you describe. Freaked out, had scan, all is well. Happened 2 days later. Same thing.
It was even bright red.
Doc's had no explanation but "this happens sometimes." There are some other threads on General Forum and this one that talk ...

Anastasia-
I was on gloucofage (spelling?), if I recall, I went off it when I had the first scan.
How do you take Metaform? Is it a pill like gloucofage?

Good Luck!

OK,
After 14 weeks and quite a few scans, I am finally ready to stop being completely superstitious and ask:

"Please add me to the list!"

I'm due May 23rd.

Thanks!

Anatasia,
As of tomorrow, I'm 14 weeks pregnant! I had a great nuchal fold/nasal bone scan - along with the finger prick blood test. All that showed I have the same risk as a 20 year old for having a downs baby. Not bad for a 36 year old!

I'm now with a "regular" ob and she says everything looks ...
