Thanks for the good stories. I am actually an Medical ICU nurse myself, but I know the NICU is a whole other world. My daughter was in the NICU for 8 days, nothing near what my friends are going through. They are in a good hospital with a good NICU. It has been a rolercoaster ride in this one week ...

Any 26 weeker success stories?

My cousins friend who concieved her babies through IVF, had her water break around one of the babies early. She went for a few days, but the mommy developed respiratory distress as her lungs were filling up with fluid and she had to deliver her twins 2 hours shy of 26 weeks. They are B/G twins, the ...

Thank you all for your replies and support. it has been 3 weeks and I sill can't grasp this is really happening. He has fallen out of love with me and says I am not the person he thought I was. Blaming it all on me of course. In the meantime I found out he has had an emotional affair and kissed ...

My husband left me

I am still in shock and it happend a week and a half ago. He told me he doesn't feel the same way anymore, I became distant during IVF and pregnancy, he wasn't getting enough affection and sex, so our marriage is over and he wants a divorce! After I went through IVF because of HIS infertiity. We ...

I gave birth to my IVF/ICSI girl a month ago. My water broke at 36 weeks and I had her the next day. Totally unexpected. She was a good size, 6lbs 12 oz, but because of my group B strep and my spiked temp she went to the NICU. There we found out she had feeding problems, where she was incoordinated ...

I was in up in the air about it too. I decided to breast and bottle feed. My daughter spent 8 days in the NICU, so I pumped colostrum and some breast milk for her, and started to breast and bottle after she was there for a few days. I just stopped doing breast a few days ago. She is 4 weeks now. I ...

Just had #1, already thinking about #2

I can't help but have it on my mind. DH and I will only ever concieve through IVF/ICSI, as he has CAVD, and there are no miracle natural conceptions in store for us. Before we knew our fate, we always agreed on 2 kids. No more. That's what we can handle, thats what we can afford. Even though I know ...

I know it is kind of early , but I have a ICSI daughter who is 4 weeks today. She came at 36 weeks, at a good size, had some coordination problems with eating and breathing and had a 8 day stay in the NICU, but it has nothing to do with ICSI, it is very common with prematurity.

However, she eats ...

My first beta was 60 at 13 DPO which I was concerned about , but my clinic wasn't. 72 hours later it was 163. On 23 DPO my Beta was only 644 and I had only a tiny gestational sac and my Dr. was worried. I went and repeated it 4 days after that and it went up to 1697. Then I had my 6 week 3 day ...

Let me tell you a little story about my first scan. My clinic does very early scans and I seriously wish they didn't. Last week I had my first one done at 5 weeks 2 days. The Dr. who did my scan acted funny. She saw a gestational sac, but it was really tiny. She then quickly said, hopefully your ...

I know how everyone feels. I am pregnant for the first time in my first cycle of IVF/ICSI. My husband thinks I am crazy because I feel like I can't admit I am pregnant because I am afraid I am going to lose the baby. I am due OCt. 10th. Due to the nature of my job, everyone knows at work because I ...
