Hi Quita,

I put this very same question out jsut a few weeks ago when I was on my two week wait and found myself spotting from day 11 onwards. I am now pregnant so there was nothing to worry about after all! Good Luck!!

How many eggs is good?

I recently had my first round of IVF and am currently sitting out the 2WW. They managed to collect 14 eggs from which we got 10 embryos using a combination of IFV and ICSI. 2 were transferred and the rest didn't make it. The embryologist didn't say if these were good statistics or not and I'm ...

Thanks again Cat, you've managed to keep my paranoia at bay for a while longer!
I've been told to have my blood test on Wednesday 14th March. It should really have been the 15th but the doc is recommending a day early so I can get to London if I am pregnant for further tests. Not too long to wait ...

Hi Cat,

Thanks for your words of reassurance. This is my first time and I just don't know what to expect so I really do appreciate hearing other people's experiences. I had 2 embies transferred on Monday 5th March so this is day 6 now. The egg collection was the previous Wednesday which would make ...

Is period pain normal?

It seems everyone's asking similar questions - this 2WW is driving us all crazy and paranoid. I'm on day 6 and have stomach cramps and some spotting just like I am about to come on. If I hadn't just gone through the rigours of IVF I'd swear I was about to start my period. This can't be a good sign ...

I just had my first ET on Monday and also had 2 embryos transferred. The waiting now is what gets you down cause its been such a long road and daring to dream about a positive result is scary when it might not happen. I feel so out of control and I hate not being able to plan ahead. I'm anticipating ...

Spotting on day 5 of 2ww!!

Just had my first ET on Monday and everything seemed to be going fine until today when I discovered a slight brownish spotting first thing. I have read that this is quite normal but I am more concerned that I also feel pre-menstrual in my mood which would indicate that I am going to come on. Any ...

Long protocol

Hi Nerms,
I'm on the long protocol and didn't even know what that meant til I read the response to your message. Now I'm a little wiser - cheers!

Nasal spray!

Hi Leslie and Mandy,

Sorry haven't replied earlier but just got back from London from my monitoring mid cycle scan and blood tests. I start the nasal spray on the 31st Jan but I'm afraid I was a bit premature about the injections as I do have to have them. The nasal spray is just to down regulate ...

Panorama scare!

Hello Ladies,

Just to let you know that it is worth visiting the ARGC website first to watch the WHOLE 60 minute interview with DR T before you watch the programme tonight. It will be interesting to see how some of the issues he addresses are handled in the final edit as I have the feeling it will ...

Hi Foster,

Great to hear from you!
When I go to London I usually stay with friends so I can't really advise you on accommodation other than to say the clinic is just off Marylebone High Street and I get the tube to Baker Street and walk to the clinic from there. Any hotels in that area would be ...

Hi Lis,

My husband and I were diagnosed with unexplained infertility after having all the normal tests and were told there was no reason why we should not be conceiving naturally. Frustrated we decided to do our research and investigate outwith the NHS and discovered a clinic in London you may have heard of ...

Hi there Foster,

Great to hear from someone else who is attending the ARGC. I live in Scotland but once we decided to go private we wanted to spend our money wisely and after researching on the Net discovered that the ARGC has the best success rate so we feel the frequent flights down are worth the ...
