Hi Ladies
as promised popping in after Nuchal scan. Wont get the "statistical probability" until next week

that's cos we had the gynae do it and didn't go to the uni clinic where they charge a fortune, but since we only get the results for info it doesn';t matter waiting a bit. Anyway everything looks very good, all measure ments way within normal limits so with a 26 year old donor, and super normal measurements (neck transparency was 0.8mm so a lot less than the dreaded 3mm), our gynea says not to worry. So they will combine it all with bloods and give us a numbetr later, but as sweety was boogie woogying away the whole time which just made me laugh my socks off which made her boogie more it was all in all a great experience

dh didn't know what was going on the the gynae got the giggles too

we also saw that sweetie has five fingers on each hand and she was waving them around like flippers the whole time

She still looks like an alien though, but an alien that I am totally in love with

She is big for dates, 7,5cm, and with all bits measured showing 13+4 (my official ICSI date is 12+6 today) so it is reckoned she will be a whopper

apparently this is determined by the gestational mum not the donor mum...interesting my sis had 10 pounders ....
Gregmbarry, congrats and welcome, I too have fluctuating booby tenderness, and they didn't grow until about week 8 - now they are huge and tender..last time I was hugs and tender from the start so it just shows it can change even with the same person, so don't worry sweetie.
LP, yeh well had to have the same ticker as always, couldn't change that! Should have kicked th e drugs by end of next week, gynae said keep the ultrogestan (pessaries) and the divigel (oestrogen gel) to week 16 as for autoimmune ladies Dr Beer says support to week 16 is advised, but that's a real belt and braces I think. Gynae says sweetie wouldn't be so big for dates if placenta wasn't spanking healthy so that's what counts.
Tsippora - glad you got a scan when you were worried, it's always best to check as worrying can also just waste your energy and worry little bubs too. Jogging

wouldn't have thought that was a good idea, I mean I am sure if you are used to it it's allowed but it must be uncomfortable?? why not try Nordic walking or something less jumpy??? careful to keep heart rate reasonable too..Zita has good tips on exercise limits. I am high risk pg so only just been given green light for swimming (only bak and floating) and otherwise have been doing oong wlaks for stamina dn circulation so I am a wimp
Caroline - I KNOW w

hat you mean - I was very nauseaous up to week 12 ish, then felt sick cos of pain in neck (literally) but was never sick, now neck is better and I have started feeling really sick, no paetite and actually been sick a couple of times. gynae said apart from other things could just be the sphincter is softer so stuff comes up easier, but I thoughta I was going to lose my brekkie in the drs today..YUK Drinking cold water with lime juice in is my slavation at the moment, and peppermint tea. I want to BLOOM GRRRR Poor old you, psecial hug for you. BTW what meds are you on then???????
MandyB - I am just so lucky as I am in Germany so we have a "Frauenarzt" like a gynae practice where they have 3 ultrasound machines, and 7 dostors and the practice have a policy of weekly scans in 1st Tri for high risk 40+ pg's or where MC history etc. I'll be doing 2 weekly scans once off meds but have one a week for the next 2 weeks still so I ama very LUCKY GIRL

(all on my insurance I have to add

). I know what you mean about age thing, I sometimes think the drs (like my orthopaedic guy who looked after my slipped disc thing) think I have a cheek being pg atall at 42

My gynae is wonderful though.... We had Nuchal scan and it was fantastic. There was so much detail, and it gives lots of info about the fetal health, placental health etc if nothing lse it has calmed me down and made me feel happy for the first time that I am pg, and can start to enjoy it. I don't have the "number" yet, the scan alone (lasted 30 mins) was more than enough to reassure me and gynae that things look good so far, much more thorought than a quick inand out job that I nomally get on the weekly scans.
Kagome - how are you doing honey???????
So I think on that note I will go over to the 2nd tri board, if I had my way I'd stay here til sweetie starts school

will be keepinmg an eye on you all though..
love and hugs and happy 1st tri to everyone
