Hi Girls!
I hope everyone had a wonderful and happy Thanksgiving! And that you all had a chance to relax and laugh with family and friends!
dancinnancy: It sounds like everything is going well with your follicles and the doctors aren't worried about OHSS. That is great news

I am also thankful for you guys and the chance to share and vent on this board!
babY0807: Yahoo! ER is tomorrow! I'll continue to pray that all goes well and that all follies fertilize! Let us know how it went as soon as you feel up to it.
LAIVF: You ate burritos after your ER...hahahahahaha! So, you transfer tomorrow! Wow! I'm so happy that you are able to do a 5-day transfer. That is what we are hoping for too. Do you know how many they will transfer? Good luck and give us the news when you can!
tinaO: 16 follies! Yipee! My ER is scheduled for the 27th, so we are a day apart

As for the progesterone in oil, I am sorry to say, they are the worst shots I've ever taken!
First, make sure that you are not allergic to the oil they put it in. They can use peanut oil, sesame oil, etc. So just check what they will use in case you have any allergies.
The most important thing to do, I think, is to warm the vial for about a half an hour in your bra or under your arm before you give the shot. The oil is very, very thick...so it can be difficult to push through the needle. So if you warm it first on your body, it will thin it out a little. If it's thinner, it also feels a little better going into your muscle.
Also, a little massage around the area the shot was given helps. This helps to distribute the oil. Again, my doctor seems to LOVE the shots going into the most painful places! I have to get the shots in my arms. By the end of the day, I am not able to lift my arm to the side...and this pain can last for several days. However, I have NO problems when it is given in my rear. I had to beg to be able to alternate between my arms and my rear so that I'm only hitting the same spot every 4th day. The progesterone shot will be the shot that all other shots will be measured against! If you can survive them, you can survive anything!
Anyway, I went back to the doctor today for b/w and u/s again. Everything looks great! I actually saw 2 doctors who said that this is an "excellent" cycle. The other doctor even said "wow!" when she first saw my follicles. I have 20+ total. They were hoping for at least 14, so this is good news. This is very encouraging and I hate to be pessimistic, BUT...I always seem to respond very well to medications and everything looks "perfect" or "textbook", but then I still get a BFN or the BFP doesn't last! It's pretty frustrating. But I am just going to remain calm, try not to think about all the things that could go wrong, and just concentrate on the positives we get from the doctor. Easier said than done, but I will try!
So, my ER is scheduled for this Tuesday, Nov 27th @ 8:30am. I can't wait as I am starting to feel the 20 follies pushing out my stomach! Ha ha.
Good luck everyone and keep in touch!
