Hey Kildean!!! missed you - glad you're over that scare!
congrats- wow I am super jealous of all of the twin mommies!!!!! girls girls girls!!! I think only 1 or maybe 2 of our singletons is a girl at this point

hooray!!!

so, finally went out and got some summer big girl stuff, though finding a regular old Tshirt that is long enough to cover my belly is impossible!!!!! so I wound up at JC Penneys - and they have a line called "A.N.A" (a new attitude), and these tops are just fantastic! they are not maternity, but are that light flowy trapundo style all the kids are wearing (and that I've never had the guts to wear before b/c they made me look pregnant- but now that I am, watch out!!!!) and they are on sale for like $13 and should do great all summer as my belly grows! they come in such cute colors and styles (I am pretty much a black on black kind of girl for shirts and such, so to find such a great selection with cool bold b&w prints, colors, etc was amazing!!! they also have a maternity section that's better than most dept stores.
all for now- finally starting to feel a bit sassy!

geckogirl wrote:rio - Bummer about the weather, eh? It is soooo cold on the SF peninsula! We are going to a Giants game tomorrow afternoon and are hoping for sun in the city at least. Sorry about the O thing. DH and I are still too freaked to try. I suggested it this week but he didn't take me up on it! I was surprised, but figure he is nervous too. Good luck with your new puppy! We have had our new puppy for three weeks now and he still isn't housebroken. We have to watch him constantly as he chews on power cords, eats rocks, and pees wherever. I am hoping he is trained by the time the baby comes. It will be cool that they will get to grow up together. I should post his picture - he is really darling.

Tammy_ Hooray for your best birthday present ever - a healthy baby! I am so happy for you. I don't know about the ICSI theory but I had a 5 day blast transferred and we are having a boy too. I have heard it is common.

Jomae - Congrats on Katie!!!!! Just what you wanted. I am so happy for you and glad she is a healthy little bean! I am sure she will settle down for the next scan.

loopie - I love going to the movies alone. All the popcorn to myself- yum! Our last day of school is Friday and it is graduation and therefore a half day and I am planning to go see the new Indiana Jones film in the afternoon to celebrate the start of summer vacation!

Hopin - Yeah! Two baby girls! How exciting! Do you have names picked out yet? I am glad you are doing well.

My first shower is June 26th and then I have two more in August! I feel really blessed that so many people want to celebrate this baby with us. I am all registered on Babies R Us. It was fun and we really tried to have a range of things listed. It will be fun to check online to see what is being purchased. My mom has alread said she would get our crib. I am so excited.

We are having a concrete patio poured today and the painters are doing the nursery at the end of June. I will be able to set up the nursery during my summer vacaion when I feel energetic. By the time I go back to school in late August everything will be in order and then I can just sit back and wait.....

Is anyone having to do the glucose test yet? I had to do it at 12 weeks and passed, but they want it again at week 24 so in two weeks I need to do it again. I am not looking forward to it....

Hope you are all having a wonderful week.
Hi Gecko!

We haven't finalized any names, but we are making a couple short lists!

Right now I like Alexis, Isabel, and Quinn and DH likes Isabel, Marley, and Jessie.

Hey Girlies

haven't the girls taken over the boards i thought everyone was going to have boys with the exception of a couple but boy was i wrong

Kildean congrats on the twin girls thats great news

have you heard?
i met a lady in at the caravan and camping show yesterday who happen to have done ivf and had the same doctor as me and she goes on to tell me that you can now choose if you want to have a boy or a girl we had asked our doctor back in Jan when we started this cycle and he said it wasn't legal but apparently things have changed and now you can choose is that the same for you guys, have you heard anything or is that just for us Aussies?

So Loopie your ready to flaunt your pregnant sexy self hey, you go girl. i can't wait till i get to the point were people don't need to look at me and wonder whether iv'e just eaten to much the lady i met yesterday said she wouldn't have known if i hadn't told her i guess my family can tell though from knowing what i was like before but yes i can't wait to get out of the stage where your normal clothes don't fit and the maternity stuff doesn't quite either so you just look like a frump.

Hello Hopin good to see your posting and all is well just for my two cents i like the name Marley

suga you've picked great names also i love the name Brooke it was on my short list last time

any suggestions for Katie's middle name

Well best go can't sit here all day or i will be the size of a house

So I was bad yesterday and went to a movie...we got home and I looked down at my feet and HOLY COW they were huge!!!! So swollen! I had to take my toe ring off...the wedding ring is off now as well *sigh* Any one else getting this already?

Also, my heart beats so fast it is just odd. I have lots of questions to ask tomorrow. When are you ladies calling to get a pediatrician? We have to have a consult with them before they are born but I dunno when to schedule that for.

Hi Moms Congrats on all the girls your right the girls are taking over.

Well ive had the week from hell. My DH father got really sick and almost died a few times last week. So we jumped in the car and drove like 7 hours to see him and go to his only sisters funeral. It was a mess. He is doing better now after having emergency surgery and over 15 blood transfusions. So we will see. Mean while I have a sinus infection durning all this so im grumpy :)

I'm glad to be home and contunie working on Parkers room. We need to register this weekend.

As far as you moms just now looking preg. I feel HUGE i have been showing for like 2 months and its odvious preg. And ive gained alot more then you all seem to. I keep asking my doc if he thinks its to much and he said no i should be under 40 by the time I deliver ---- but thats ALOT im my mind especially since Im not having twins. He did say its normal to have gained durning stims so thats prob why im freaking out. BUT STILL thats bad. I wanted to say at like 30 pounds and thats not going to happen unless i go on a diet. And I tell you now that wont happen.

Anyways enough of my griping im glad to be back and it will be good to get some stuff done. Hope everyone feels good and has a great weekend.

OH OH one more thing. DH felt parker for the first time monday night. It was cute!! he has been very active.

Jeesh! What a week! I can't believe that all of the twins are girls! How funny is that?
Jomae - congrats on Katie. For my own selfish reasons I am glad you found out...I was dying to know. I have one friend who is about 10 weeks ahead of me and she doesn't know. I personally can't imagine not finding out.

I am SO glad to hear that everyone is getting though these pregnancies with minimal trouble. And I'll admit, I'm a little jealous. I would like to be enjoying it, but it's so hard. My miserable soap opera continues...We have not had a good week. I went to the u/s alone on Monday because DH was at work. I got bad news that the TTTS was getting worse. I was a mess. Crying hysterically. They talked about our options, which included terminating the pregnancy. Immediately I told them that was not an option. Anyways, then sent me to see a surgeon at USC who may be able to save our babies. The most horrible thing about this disease is that the babies appear to be perfectly heathy, but it is a disease of the placenta that will, if left untreated, kill them. Anyhow, DH came running home from work that day to find me on the sofa with pain in my right side. After waiting for about an hour we went to the ER. I don't even remember the drive because I was in so much pain. It turns out I was passing a kidney stone. I don't know if any of you have been through this before or not, but it is terribly painful and apparently very common during pregnancy. So, I'm just saying...watch out. Anyhow, there are certain qualifications you must meet in order to have the surgery. Without them the risks outweigh the benefits. Mainly, there has to be a specific discrepancy between amniotic sacs. Of course, I fell just short, so we will be checked again tomorrow. If we qualify tomorrow, the surgery will be Friday, if we don't, we will be checked again Monday. Basically they are just waiting for it to get worse enough that the benefit will outweigh the risk. I just want to get it over with in order to give our girls a fighting chance. On top of all this, I have been returned to strict bedrest with only bathroom privledges because my cervix has shortened a lot. A couple of more mm's and I will have to have a cerclage done.

I am so sorry to off load this on to all of you. Sometimes I just don't know where else to turn. At one point Monday night, I had thoughts about wanting to just give up. I know they say God only gives you what He knows you can handle, but seriously, I just don't know how much more I can take.

Oh - I wanted to ask you all...right now we've been calling the girls Logan and Abigail, but I hear Logan is a boys name? What do you all think? Anyone know a girl Logan?

Thanks for listening everyone. :(

Corny: I am so sorry hun! I will keep you in my prayers at night as well as the girls! Hopefully the surgery works for them! And I am sorry about the shortening of the cervix! Gosh! Most Logans I know, well all Logans I know, are all boys. But there are a lot of names that can go both ways. And a kidney stone?! YIKES!

Katie: Sorry about your dad-in-law. Just make sure you keep yourself emotionally stable!

Ohhh Corny....know that we are all praying so hard for you and your girls. They are such fighters ...and I just know they will be okay. Good Luck! I agree I thought of Bold and the Beautiful too when you said Logan. It can go either way. I also know twin girls from highschool and their last name was Logan. I love the name. By the way for some odd reason...I visited the IVF board (been a long time since I went there) and saw that a girl was asking under the May/June post about betas of 13. I thought of you and told her your story (as much as I could remember). She would probably love to hear from you, though.

Katie: I am soo sorry about your FIL and his sister. I am praying for your family as well. How cool that your DH has already felt Parker move.

Suga: Yep, my feet and ankles turned into cankles over the weekend. My ring may be stuck on my finger for awhile, too. The doc has had me keep my feet up, stay cool, and drink more water.

Jomae: Yep, we can pick the gender in the states. I asked about it only out of curiousity....and he said for $3500 they can do it. I agree soo glad you found out, too. LOL

Kildean: Congrats on the twin girls. I cant believe how many girls. I am surprised to say the least.

Has anyone heard from KellyM?

I called the doc today to tell him about how my ear infection isnt any better and to tell them that I thought I was having Braxton Hicks contractions for the past 40 minutes. Well they freaked on me and sent me straight to the hosp for preterm labor. I knew it was nothing...and it's not. Everything is fine...I just feel stupid, now.

corny-crap- it's terrible that you're going through this. i am so sorry that your pregnancy is not easier. what does the surgery entail? is there no medicine that they can give you? it's true about God/universe not giving you more than you can handle -you and the twins are strong, and you can and will get through this- all of you!!. my dh has had 2 kidney stones, and they are a nightmare!!! as if you've not gone through enough- the pain of those is supposed to outweigh that of childbirth (so at least you know  )
as for the names-Logan is fabulous for a girl.

sug, tammy- sorry about the swelling- feet up!

jomae- of course my suggestion is for you to name her a family name, or that of a close friend. Katie .......????

kildean- marleah and macey are nice names -got 2nds picked out???

MIA??????? you are m.i.a. - everything ok????
Krista????

well, nothing new here, and that's ok with me 8)

Corny- This is so unfair!!! I know you must be tired and defeated, but don't give up! Your girls have proven themselves to be little fighters. They will surprise you. I hope you qualify for the surgery and that it goes well. You are lucky to be in an area with a hospital that does this kind of surgey so that you don't have to travel on top of it all. Keep us posted. You will be in my prayers. Also, I had a female student in my class this year named Logan. She was a beautiful girl with a beautiful name! I love it.

Tammy - When I got sick with just a run of the mill cold, it really knocked me out for ove a month. I think we pregnant women just don't have the antibodies to fight off things. Did they give you more antibotics? I am sorry you ended up in the ER but it is better to be safe than sorry. Glad everything was fine.

Katie - Sorry about your week. I hope your FIL is well soon. Take care of yourself. I too feel huge and have gained almost 20lbs. I figure it will be at least 40 by the time I am done which will really irritate my doctors, but I am sooooo hungry all the time. It is unreal.

Sugabeanz - My heartbeat is fast and hard too. I notice it more at night. My doctor said it is normal as we are now pumping so much more blood than we did before. I would still check with your doctor at your next appointment though, just to ease your mind.

Hopin - I love all the names you have picked out - especially Quinn.

kildean - Hooray for your twin girls. How excited you must be! I am glad your blood clot has resolved. Keep us posted on how you are doing.

I am doing well. I got a call from my doctor that they want to put me in a high risk preterm labor program. I am not sure what it entails, but they said I would have an appointment with a perinatal nurse to learn about the symptoms of preterm labor and keep a log of symptoms. Someone will call me weekly to check on me. They alread have me in a high risk program because of my preexisting hypertension and call weekly for my blood pressures. And after I do the glucose tolerance test (which I will most likely fail) I will be in yet another high risk program for that! I am glad that they are keeping good care of me, but sheesh! So far my pregnancy has been very normal and they keep freaking me out with all the "what ifs". Anyone else getting this much attention?!
