Mir - MAN you are wierd liking gloomy rainy weather - if you lived over here you would be sick of it I promise - probably bit like if we lived in FL we would probably get sick of internal sunshine ...........uuummm actually no I don't think I would

Nah, parents house isn't posh - just a normal house with a pool - thought everyone had a pool in FL??

Don't know if Becky is doing tmt this month - know its her big 40 tomorrow - think she is taking time out from everything which I guess must include tmt as well......... I'm sure she'll be on here if she was under tmt again.

Just had my accu so fingers crossed it gets a things moving FAST!!! I want an 08/08/08 baby - that was my official IVF due date so you never know. The 5th was the 12 wk scan due date so praying that the IVF one works out.

Hi Nims!!! I am so glad you are around and talking to me. I would be so sad if you werent, seeing as everyone else are busy bees!!!

Yes, I know. My friends and family think I am a weirdo!!LOL But really, I love it. I am telling you, if you lived here all year round, you might not get tired of the sunshine, but YOU WOULD be tired of the heat, and humidity!!! It really is miserable. No, I am not fortunate enought to have a pool... :( They are like $45,000 for an inground pool. It would only be like 25,000 pounds your money. I wish it would be more like $25,000 US money!!! I just dont have that kind of money. WISH I DID!!! One day!! :D

Awww...today is your orginal due date??? That would be awesome!!! Kind of cool too... 08/08/08!!!!

Let Becky know we miss here and are thinking of her!!! (of course I understand her needing a break...)

Keep us updated on the baby Nims...

Nims- Thanks for checking in and letting us know that you are still waiting. I think you need to instruct dh to post when you go into labor.. I think we are all as excited as you are.
As for my air conditioner, yes we got it fixed. Actually just had to go a few hours without air, as dh figured it just froze up. So out came the hair dryer and before bed we had air. The repairman came out later the next day, and he couldn't figure out why it froze up. fluke thing I guess.

Miracle- I am so with you on liking gloomy weather. I think I would love living in the Oregon, Washington area where it rains almost all the time. Don't get me wrong, I love the sunshine, but I prefer the gloom. Wonder if something like that says something about your personality.
My neighbor just put a pool in last year....$50,000!!! It's really nice, but quite expensive. I don't know how they make the monthly payments as they have always had money problems.

PMA- Just finished watching the So You Think You Can Dance season finale. I just knew who would win, but was surprised by the runner up. What about you? I love that show. REally enjoy the dancing. Told dh I would love to take dance lessons...ballroom...I tap danced for about 13 years, but it has been quite a while since I have done that.

Well, my classroom is all unpacked, now I need to decorate. Am going to attempt to do that with dd there with me. Could be quite interesting. i hope to have my room decorated by Friday of next week. I start teacher meetings in a week, so would like to have everything done. Hard to believe that my summer break is already over.

Hello lovely ladies!

You guys are right, the board has been a bit sleepy! Whew, I was expecting TONS of posts to catch up... But here's an update anyway! :D

My friend is doing much better. Still nervous, but at least the fact she's pregnant is sinking in. We spent about 6 hours together on Thursday. Managed to make her buy the two pregnancy books I bought when I was pregnant (pregnancy book and nutrition book for pregnant women). Her DH was very surprised, although he had been thinking about a possible BFP all day long, given that her period still had not started. He already started to be over-protective, and told her repeatedly that he didn't want her to have a big behind. Not very nice (as if she could control it?!?!), but apparently one of our friends really enlarged from there during her first pregnancy. My friend is already worried about putting on weight, but I'm sure they'll both get over it. Her first beta (19 das after IUI) was 650, which is superb. She had a 2nd beta done yesterday, but she doesn't know the results yet. All in all, things are wonderful and I'm very excited for her. She's already asked me to be present during her labor and delivery; of course I'll be there! But LOL I know she might change her mind during the pregnancy. :( What's nice is that we've decided to take yoga classes, we'll start in September! We have to take an initiation course together, and then she'll have to take the prenatal classes. I'll take them with her whether or not I'm pregnant. That's the whole point after all; take classes together! ;)

...and we went shopping and I spent an insane amount of money on really good quality clothes... you know, those days when everything fits? Bought two amazing tops, one with a leopard print and one black and brown with big red roses. Those tops are amazing, they really hold everything together and the fabric makes it impossible to see ANY bump or love handle on those fat days when AF is about to show up. The front is very subtly padded, so it makes you quite a nice rack... (can't wait until pregnancy makes me fill it even better!) I also bought a satin short-sleeved blouse, jewel blue, and a one-piece (pants and top), black (first time I buy that but I swear it's like it had been cut for my body type). And a nice long top for the fall and winter, burgundy. And a nice necklace; my friend bought the same.

Tomorrow is one of the big days... ultrasound at 8am! I'm almost certain I'll have a perfect lining (always had), but the fact I lost one ovary might change things, who knows? So I'm looking forward to know. Plus it will be great to look at all the structures inside now that I'm recovered from the surgery... see if everything is still squeaky clean in there! ;)

My friend will make a few calls and she'll be in standby for FET day. If it's Wednesday, my DH won't be able to be there. Silly, really, but he had a presentation day changed long ago, and he's the one presenting, so he won't be able to cancel. It's not a big deal, really. But I asked my friend if she wanted to come, and she'll be there if it's on Wednesday. She'll drive me home and I'll watch DVDs for the rest of the afternoon. Thing is, I'll know only a few hours before, hence the standby. If it's Thursday, then DH will be there of course. No matter what day it is, I just hope my embies will survive the thaw. ;)

nimble,
you're such a trooper!!! I'm so sorry your little one hasn't showed up yet!! At least you've got cupcakes....! :D Don't give up sweetie, it's coming!!! I'm rooting for you and DH and I hope you have a nice time with Shantala! Hope you'll see her little cutie; tell us about how they're doing!

Shantala,
Hi darling! How are you? So you and nimble live close to each other? How lucky!!!! I yet have to meet a fellow canadian or quebecker here... :( Yup, I'll reach the coveted princess status either on Wednesday or Thursday! Yay!

Miracle,
Hehehehe I don't think you're a weirdo at all. Here in Quebec, we often complain about harsh winters, but I think most people are quite happy to have 4 distinct seasons. Sometimes, I wish the climate was a bit warmer just so we could grow more vegetables and flowers, and longer. But I've been to San Diego for a convention a few years ago. THe climate is wonderful: around 23 degrees Celsius all the time, sunny... but we all thought that we'd eventually get sick of that even weather. Rainy cold days make you appreciate sunny ones!

Personally, I love sun, but I hate hot and humid weather, and we've got plenty here during summer. It's a very humid climate. So I understand you, Miracle! :D I'd LOVE to live in England, in fact, I discussed moving to the UK with my DH. But UK or France would both be nice for me. I love the European lifestyle, and the amazing nature there. Granted, there's plenty of forests and crops and so on here in Canada, but it doesn't have the same feel. I'm half Belgian, and that half is half English, so I guess that explains part of the longing! ;) Bottom line is, you're not a freak! :D

hrobinson,
woohoo on getting unpacked! :D:D:D I understand the feeling!!! Sorry about that AC! At least it was only for a couple of hours! Yup, I watched the finale... LOVED Mia's choreography at the end! So electric! And how about Nigel dancing? That was so cute! I'm happy to see the judges dance, I mean, you can criticize people all you want, but at least show me what YOU can do! ;) As for the winners and runner-ups, I didn't watch the whole season, so I had no idea. Loved to see the best choreographies at the end, though. So you tap dance? How nice! :D I loved the classes I took, long ago. Had to lose all those reflexes when I started flamenco, though. With tap, you're "above" the floor, whereas with flamenco, you have to really be "into" the floor. Quite a difference! What made you start dancing? :D

Hi Rachel! :D Sorry to hear ruby was siiiick! But at least she's recovering! :D *hugs*

Okay, gotta run to bed guys. Take care and I'll update as soon as I can tomorrow after the ultrasound!
