Dakota - You're cracking me up with your outstanding shopping deals, that's awesome! Sucks about the doppler, but keep on a tryin', they just aren't that reliable this early on (per my OB), so just keep the PMA and know your little one is busy growing!
children - That was so nice of your nurse to get you in and then to do a quick training session on your pulse vs the heartbeat

And you're right, 9 months seems like an eternity. Could you imagine being an elephant, they're pregnant between 21-23 months!! You think we're crazy now
Babysoft - Too funny that you've already bought a going home gift

There's no way I can start shopping for clothes now, we'd be totaly broke by time the baby arrived. I'm going to hold off as long as I can, which may only be another month or two
ftg - I hear ya on the heat! I'm in Austin,Texas and we've had over 100 degrees for 3 months now. The streak finally broke and it was in the 80's yesterday and today, it's awesome.
Neffi - I'm sorry you had such a hard time hearing the HB, but my OB says it's pretty normal to have a harder time with the dopplers. We've been so spoiled up to this point with ultrasounds, that it seems a bit archaic to use these little tools at a doctors office. Try to keep positive and know everything is good to go.
We had our 2nd OB appointment today, but first time to meet the new OB. I really liked her and she took as much time as we needed to answer questions, etc. We got to hear the HB, sounded like a jackrabbit..crazy fast

She told us that everything looks and sounds great, so we should enjoy the pregnancy and feel comfortable at this stage. We have our last RE appt and u/s next Monday and then our first tri screening u/s on Tuesday, but no more after that until week 20. We told the OB we were pretty freaky and felt the need to constantly hear or see something, so she said if we get really freaked out to just call and she'll get us in for an u/s. I'm going to hold off and see if them just using the doppler will be enough, we'll see. Other than that, I'm feeling pretty good these days. M/S has diminished quite a bit, just dealing with feeling crappy after I eat a major meal, which is so much better. Belly seems to be growing by the day, but she said I'm on target and measuring around 12 weeks. I hope everyone else is doing well and I pray that these next few months fly by for us! Not too fast though, I'm kinda freaked out about delivering and then actually having a little baby with absolutely no formal training before hand
