Hi everyone!
I had my third beta today, and then I will have my u/s on Monday.

12dpt3dt 332
14dpt3dt 888
19dp3dt 11,164

I asked the nurse 3 times about the 11,000. I keep wondering if it is a lab error, or ????

Kldavis and Sophie, how are you holding up during the 2ww??

Baby dust,
Kim

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SOPHIE!!
Sounds like you had a great 30th! So you feel pregnant?? thats wonderful!! Sometimes a woman just knows.....
I hope you get that puppy you want!! We want a second dog(well let me clarify... I want another pup... dh is fine with just the one. He is a black lab named Luke and he is our baby!!! He ran away a couple of times over the years, but luckily he came back or someone found him and called the vet on his tags. I want to get a yellow lab girlfriend for him. I would like to see him have some pups. Just for him to have a companion. Dh doesnt like lap dogs either. But Luke is sooo big he cant cuddle . So, I am a bit torn. I would like to rescue one , but usually they must be spade or neutered. So, we will see.

FABULOUS news Kimmy!!!! CONGRATS!!! Sounds like you might be a mom of multiples. How exciting!! Keep us posted and let us know what RE says about those beta #s. Keep em up

As for me, tomorrow is the big day. I'm trying to be hopeful but I'm pretty sure I wont get the news I was hoping for. I Poas and got bfn. Hubbly is hopeful and saying that the test is probably wrong..... bless his heart, he's just trying to keep me in good spirits. i will keep you posted.

BABY DUST to all those beautiful deserving mommies out there!!

Hi Val:
Thanks for your nice message. I still can't believe it either. I asked Ghost about it, b/c it is so high. He thought it was out of line with my other two betas and might be a lab error. I hope so, b/c I am okay with twins, but would be scared with anything else. I am not supposed to have any other lab work until my u/s Monday, but I just sent an email to my IVF coordiantor seeing if perhaps she thought this could be an error and if I should repeat b/w. I am looking forward to talking with her tomorrow.
Thank you also for checking in, as I know we cycled together in April/May. Sounds like your cycle is going well!

Morning ladies! Wow, some posts to catch up on!!! yay!!!

Kim,
congratulations on the amazing beta numbers!!! Even if it's a lab error, your numbers have been increasing nicely, and I'm sure everything is fine!!! I'll be on pins and needles until Monday!!!! It must seem like forever for you!

kldavis,
Thanks for your birthday wishes! :D A blonde girl would be nice for your furbaby! Awwww! We haven't heard from you and your beta, I hope it's a good sign??? Please let us know my dear... I've been thinking about you a lot (sorry I took so long to post!!!)

As for me, we're on holiday until September 2nd. Weather is on our side; it's beautiful outside and will be until this weekend at least. We're planning to do all sorts of fun things!

Tomorrow will be a super exciting day! We're going to adopt our new furbaby!!! I'll go for a much needed hairdresser apt at 11am (my roots are out of control and we've been letting my hair grow since MARCH!!!), and then we'll head right for the shelter, which is at about an hour drive from our place. We'll bring Daria with us of course, so she can meet her potential little brother or sister. We chose that shelter because they have a lot of interesting dogs. And you can just show up during the visiting hours and leave with your new dog. No waiting for weeks until someone calls you back and you realize after all that time that the dog has been given to another family. Ugh! ;) We're very excited!

Other than that, the other super exciting news is that I'm almost sure I'm pregnant. If I'm not preggers, there's really something wrong with me. I feel tired all the time, I start craving for a nap around 2pm... really not like me. I've had those cute little cramps here and there, signs that my ovarian cyst is a bit restless, which is also a good sign (means it's reacting to the hormone levels). I've also felt cramps in the middle of my uterus that might be implantation cramps. I've started going to the loo every second (it was the most obvious symptom when I was pregnant; it's not a side effect of the meds). Yesterday, I realized my sense of smell is way sharper and sensitive than usual. I can smell really subtle smells that my DH doesn't. And lastly, yesterday as we were walking the dog, she pooped and my husband picked it up and as he closed the bag I had a split-second smell... and I felt so nauseous I gagged in the middle of the street. So of course this is very encouraging (not the poop gag, the symptoms!!!!), but strangely it does not make me more eager to have the beta on Tuesday. It's like I just know already, and having the confirmation will be nice, but I'm looking forward to other things instead and I just enjoy my day. Weird huh??? Each 2ww is different... it's the first time I experience it that way. Really weird.

My best friend has her u/s today. I'm really looking forward to hearing about how many beanies there are.... :D I think there's only one, but I'm sure she will be really reassured when she sees the little heartbeat. Such a wonderful moment! I really hope she can calm down and just enjoy her luck and the miracle of life.

Okay, enough pregnancy talk. I should take that shower an get the day going! Laundry, dishes, kitchen to clean, bathrooms too... all the things I tend to postpone badly because I'm so lazy in the evening!!!

Take care ladies, and have fun!

Sophie, sure sounds like you are PG!!! I had that heightened sense of smell too as well as the cramps and the tiredness. Good luck!!!

As for me, I'm on another round of Vivelle patches. Next ET will be early September.

What's going on with everyone else?

Kimmy, I might bet money that you've got multis in there with those beta numbers! :)

Sophie:
So exciting abour getting a new dog. Please post later and tell us what u got and what you named him/her. I also had the heightned sense of smell. I love brocolli/cheddar soup and I ordered a bowl two days before my 1st beta and it really turned me off. I remember thinking how strange that was.
Can't wait to hear your beta number.

Kerpupples, I am glad you have a new set of dates! yeah, I just know this will be your lucky time.

Well, I changed the date of my u/s. I was supposed to get it 6 wks 1 day, but I changed it fo 6 wks 3 days. I know it seems like a samll thing, but it gives me a better chance to see the hb. I am totally the kind of person that will obsess wildly if I don't see it. I know I should wait until 7 weeks, if I really want to be sure, but I only have so much restraint.
I have been feelin okay, but today, I was so tired I am to come home and rest a bit. Work has been quite demanding this week. I also had some brown and pink spotting a couple of hours ago, which worried me. I have read this is normal, but the pink??

Hope you all have a great day,
Kim

Hello ladies!

Aaaawwwwwwwwwwwwww it's great to have some time off!!!! The weather is SO NICE you wouldn't believe it! Yesterday, my best friend Anne, who is pregnant, came to visit with her two dogs, and in the afternoon we both needed to rest so we went under the huge tree in my backyard and just lay there, listening to the lovely August nature sounds... amazing! And I did it again this afternoon!

On Wednesday, our family grew bigger! We went to the SPCA to take a look at the available dogs there... we walked a few, but didn't find THE ONE at first... either I wasn't falling in love, or it was DH... and after a while, I lingered near a cage in a corner at the very back of the room... there was a nice dog in there, extra sweet, who approached me gently and let me scratch him and caress him... and *closed his eyes* as I was caressing him...

His story is very sad. That sweet boy was abandoned by his mommy when he moved; the owner found him locked alone in the apartment. The SPCA suspects that he has not seen the outdoors very often and was probably abused. He recoiled in complete terror when the lady put him on a leash, and no matter how hard she tried to drag him outside the building so we could walk with him, he just refused to move. He just stood there, terrified, shaking so much his hind legs and his rear had tremors. In the end, DH had to pick him up in his arms and carry him outside!! So we sat with him and caressed him; he glued EVERY inch of his body against me. And after a few minutes, he seemed to realize that, hey, there are all sorts of nice smells and things to discover outside! And he started walking with us and grew more confident with each step!

We both fell in love. He is a Shepard/Collie mix, 1 year old. He has a black nose and the rest of his body is tan. His toes are white and freckled with red, so cute! The tip of his tail is white too; it looks like a paint brush. They had named him Picasso, but we didn't like it. We named him Toulouse (as in Toulouse-Lautrec). He LOVED the car ride; he's the type of dog who loves to stick its head through the open window and just watch everything with a big smile, tongue and ears in the wind... ;) Our other dog, Daria, accepted him without any fuss. THe male-female combo usually works best; no domination wars. Plus he is so submissive that she did not feel threatened one bit. Even the cat wasn't traumatized; he's slightly bigger than our dog and yet he is very discreet. No barking... he whines a little whenever one of us leaves the house or goes upstairs (he's still scared of the staircase). But I can tell you, he is making HUGE progress every day. He will be completely transformed before long. If you want to see him (and our furbaby girl), you can go there:

http://s108.photobucket.com/albums/n25/ ... /Toulouse/

Kim,
I know, it's weird how sometimes you crave for something and the next minute the smell grosses you out! This time, it's more like... I bake a lot of food, and then I eat it for dinner and for lunch and after that I'm completely incapable of feeling hungry for that dish again. In the evening, I suddenly am hungry, but I can't seem to find anything in the fridge that really tempts me. Can't wait to hear about how the ultrasound went! My best friend had hers last Wednesday; one healthy beanie! :D

And please, PLEASE don't worry about spotting. 80% of woment will bleed during their first trimester. I've had spotting, and I've had serious bleeding and miscarriage and I can tell you: when you're REALLY in trouble, you know right away. If you're not sure, it's probably nothing! Pinkish is nothing, believe me! Even if you do bleed one day, do call your doctor, but know that everything is FAR from being over. Remember the 80%... I know someone who bled severely during her first six months!!! Her daughter is now 16 years old and a real pain in the neck, like all teenagers, lol!

Kerpupples,
Keeping everything crossed for you dear, fingers and toes!!! :D:D:D

I wish you an amazing weekend!

Hugs and kissies,

Sophie xxox

Sophie:
I love the story about the doggie that you picked out. It was truly meant to be. I get so upset when I hear people abuse animals. My dh and I are huge doggie lovers. We have a female golden retriever. She is amazing.
You and dh just changed that dogs life, forever. How lucky for him, he sounds just amazing.

My u/s is Wednesday, and the time is dragging.....

Please remind me what day your beta is. I know it is coming up. Have you POAS yet??

Hello ladies! How you're enjoying your weekend!

Kim,
My beta will be on Tuesday. When in doubt, check the ticker! :D:D:D I didn't POAS, even if it's tempting, especially with my best friend talking about her pregnancy most of the time and comparing her symptoms with mine. I have worked really hard to let go and just stop trying to control what I can't control; I believe I have finally reached that state of mind, and POAS would go against that. That's why I still have to wait until Tuesday to confirm or infirm what I feel so strongly inside! :D

Take care ladies,

Kerpupples: So funny, I was just reading back through the thread and saw that you thought I might have multiples. I can't imagine, but I must say my m/sickness is out of control. My u/s is Wednesday, so we will see.

Sophie: I can't believe I missed your ticker, it is so cute! What will power with the POAS. I have a gut feeling that you are pg. Especially with your heightned sense of smell. Can't wait to hear the good news.

Hope evryone is having a great day.

Hello ladies,

How was your weekend guys? :D Mine involved long pauses and lost of house chores!

Today is DH's birthday. And LOL, we'll go twice to the restaurant; once for lunch next to the river, and once downtown tonight! Good times! Plus the furbabies will have the occasion to stay alone for a couple of hours... get used to the idea... :D

Okay, here's the big news... this morning, my husband asked me if we could POAS. It's the first time he does that, but he expressed the need to be prepared for tomorrow's blood test, and he also preferred, like me, to have the news in the privacy of our home. So I explained the pros and cons, and he still wanted to do the test. I couldn't refuse, because of course I was also very curious with all those symptoms. As we say here, only fools never change their mind...

IT'S A BFP!!!!! I got a ClearBlue test, and it displayed "pregnant" right away, even with my second morning urine. So of course we were absolutely delighted! Can't wait to tell my best friend this evening; looks like we'll both take the prenatal yoga classes for the same reason this fall! And sail through our pregnancies at the very same time! (she's about 3 weeks ahead of me). I'm also looking forward to telling my little sister, the only other person who knows we were trying.

To be frank, I'm also a little relieved... I was a bit worried that all these symptoms were something else! Then there would have been something seriously wrong with me! LOL!

Take care guys, and have great day! I'll let you know the beta number as soon as I know, probably tomorrow (still have that apt planned at the clinic!)! :D

Sorry I haven't had much to say ladies. I've been really down on this whole process so I figure it's better to keep my trap shut.

Sophie - most awesome news about the POAS!!! Hope you get a good beta tomorrow.

Kimmy - let us know how the u/s goes. I'd almost bet on twins.

I am so sorry you are down, which I can totally understand.
I have read that you are thinking of changing clinics. I know it is a hard decision, as I also made it. However, you have to go where may work better for you. I traveled from Arizona to N. California. I think I read you are looking at CCRM. I have heard they are great.
Hugs to you,
