Hello.
How is everybody?

I had my scan today and have just recovered from the news.

We could see the heartbeat and: IT'S TWINS!!!!
OMG!

I'm so scared now. How am i gonna handle it?!
I was already scared with the idea of one and now two!!!!

Of course im very happy but it is just something that i was not expecting.
I mean, i knew the chances were there because it was 2 good quality blastocyst and im under 35.

Ok.
That's it.
Im at work and can't take long.

Hi girls

Brooke- Sorry about your DH cancer. Glad to hear that he recovered from it. Great news on the heartbeat. That is awesome that it increased like that. I think you have an excellent chance now.

Anie - Twins is so exciting. My scan is tomorrow and I am wondering if I will be having twins. What were your betas? Mine were 565 995 and 9,269. Congrats again on hearing the heartbeats.

I am anxious/worried about my u/s tomorrow. Without having many symptoms. And some of the symptoms coming and going I am afraid that baby the baby stopped growing or their won't be a heartbeat or something. I know I am probably worrying for nothing.

Hope you all are having a good day.

Hi ladies,

Just a super quick post,

Amanda,
I can't help but notice you keep writing "hear" the heartbeat at the first ultrasound... you can't hear the heartbeat before week 11 at least, so I wouldn't want you to be disappointed tomorrow! You may see the little heart, and believe me it's quite something! Your anxiety is perfectly normal, we all feel that way before the first ultrasound, and unfortunately some of us aren't totally reassured by it. But do trust your body and embies. They are all doing their very best right now, and what has to happen will happen whether you worry or not. Try and keep as busy as you can until tomorrow; sure helped me! I'm super excited for you and can't wait until we hear about your results tomorrow.

Anie!!!! TWINS!!!! Congratulations!!! oh, sweetie, don't be so scared! Tons of mommies handled twins and more in the past! I'm sure discussing with other twin moms will help; there are twin threads on this forum and on the parents forum too. Plus I like that saying that says God (Buddha,Allah, the Universe, Jeovah, The Higher Power, whatever you call It) only sends you things you can handle. Right now, it's a big shock, but you still have several months to get used to the idea and prepare. I'm sure you'll handle those little treasures just fine! *HUGS* I'm VERY happy for you sweetie!

Brooke,
Hello! Thanks for sharing your touching story with us. You've been through a lot, and I'm very happy and you and DH can look forward to your first child, a wonderful adventure! Do you plan to join us for good? It would be very nice to have you on board! But I won't add you to the list if you don't want to, it's up to you.

Okay, gotta run!

Good morning ladies!

Sorry I've been missing in action a little bit.

Sophie~ Thank you so much for your reassuring words. They definitely made me feel better!
Your family reunion sounds so lovely and what better way to announce your pregnancy! It will be a memorable weekend. I'm sure you will enjoy it to no end!
The bella band sounds really good too. If everything progresses as it should for me, I will order one. Some days I'm really bloated and I have to keep my jeans unbuttoned already. I'm most bloated in the evening.

beaglebaby~ Welcome to our thread!
Thank you so much for sharing your story and I can tell you that it has helped me! I'm sorry about your DH's cancer. The two best parts is that he has recovered and that you are expecting a baby!
It is good to hear success stories like that and it gives me hope!

Anie~ Fabulous news for you!! Twins. I know it's a little scary and you don't know what to expect. Like Sophie said, I think you will handle it just fine! The twins thread will help you a lot! It will give an idea of what to expect.

Amanda~ Best of luck on your US tomorrow. I understand your nervousness. I was very nervous on the day of the US. I feel like you are going to have twins! Can't wait to hear all about it! You will be in my thoughts!

Stacy~ You're having your US tomorrow as well. Best of luck to you too! How's the burping?

I am burping away today! Can not stop. Most of the time it gives me a strange taste in my mouth. Not burning but just very different.
The PMA is doing well and I'm hanging on to the symptoms I do have and take it as a good sign. I can't control anything during this process except for my PMA and so I chose to be positive. I'm anxiously waiting for my US on Oct. 2nd. I think it will turn out for the best!

I'll check on all of you later ...

Have a great day and much love to all.

Hey ladies! I held my little nephew for the first time yesterday...he is darling. My parents are coming into town this afternoon and staying with me and DH for a few days so they can meet him.

Congrats Anie on the twins! My first US is tomorrow and along with the fear of no HB, I'm scared to death to see two! But I've come to realize that although two would be scary, there are a lot of positives that come with it - especially if you want two children you'd never have to go through IVF again! Amanda - it's you and me tomorrow! Best of luck!!

I put a plastic bag in my purse so feeling less worried about getting sick on the train. However, this week has been awful. I've felt sick every day mostly in the afternoon. No throwing up yet, but I feel best when eating and when laying down. I'm hoping it will pass soon.

And Val, still burping along! Anyone have any metallic taste and extra saliva? I had it earlier in the week for a few days but has calmed down a bit.

I had a bit of a scare a couple days ago - was stung by a wasp for the first time in my life. I was so scared I was allergic and would have a bad reaction and threaten the pregnancy. Fortunately I'm not allergic, but my hand is still sore so I'm still a bit nervous :?

Amanda my appointment is at 12 pm CST. I'm not sure when I'll make it online to post how it goes, since my parents are in town and we may be busy running around. I'll be glad when this appointment is passed...it's like checking off a list and with each check I can get a little more excited!

Hi Ladies

Well it is official.....TWINS. YAY. I am so happy and excited. They are fraternal twins, so I guess I don't have to worry about being able to tell them apart at first :P. We could see the hearts beating. My RE doesn't measure the heartbeat at this stage. I go back in 2 weeks for a second u/s and he will measure the heartbeats then. I am 626d. One measure 6w5d and the other 6w6d. He said there is a margin of error and he isn't concerned at all that the one measured a day behind.

Morning ladies!

Where is everyone??? Are you all snoozing somewhere??? :D:D Ah, I understand. Believe me, though, it gets better towards week 7-8. Still tired, mind you, but better.

Valerie,
Hi sweetie, I'm so glad you're feeling better! Pupo, PUPO! :) Can't wait until Thursday.... how are you doing? How was your weekend?

Stacy,
Must have been very special to hold your little nephew and think that you'll be there in a few months! :D hope the wasp sting has gone by now, ouch! Congratulations on the successful ultrasound! :D:D I'll update the list, yay!

Amanda,
CONGRATULATIONS!!! Another twins alert! YAY! I'll update the list very soon! Your doctor is right, there is a big margin of error with ultrasounds, it all depends on the angle. Your babies could measure 6w5d one day and 6w7d the day after. How is DH? Is he excited?

beaglebaby,
I'm glad that you'll be joining the thread. I'll add you to the list. How was your weekend?

I had an ok weekend. I was really tired at the end of the week and my PIL arrived from France on Friday evening. We had a great dinner and then we all crashed in bed. The next day, I went to a store and bought a Bella Band. I LOVE IT! So comfortable, and it really takes away the stress. I mean, I now can pick any pants I want from my closet and I know I'll be comfortable all day no matter what amount of bloating I have in the afternoon and evening. It's a complete blessing! And the fabric is really soft. I'll buy their belly leggings for sure! :D:D

And I got a little carried away... they have second hand items there, in very good state (as good as new). So I found two pairs of leather slippers. One is white with big ladybugs on it, and the other is blue with frogs. I'll give the blue ones to my best friend tonight at the yoga lesson. I also bought several books, two Beatrix Potter books, one Winnie the Pooh book, and two other books. The Potter books are in English, of course (my first language is French), but I'll use the pictures to plan the decoration of the baby's room (the pictures are SO NICE!).

The pregnancy announcement went ok. The waiter was supposed to show the cake to everybody, but he only showed it to the people at the end of the table, my father's wife and my grandma. I asked my father's wife to read the inscription aloud, and then people understood what was going on and they applauded. They asked all kinds of questions... it was fun when everyone realized what title they would have... uncle Francois, great-auntie Michele, great-grandma, and so on. To be honest, it was a bit stressful for me and I was glad when I was alone with my husband in the car. I know that nobody can truly understand what we've been through to have this baby. They know the events, but not how it felt to go through that marathon, and how emotionally/mentally/financially exhausted you get after a while (the whole thing has been going on since 2003 for us). So the announcement was bittersweet, in a way. It was hard for me to just rejoice as if nothing had happened in the past. But of course this will pass, and now we'll just have fun planning the baby's arrival. I'm glad this is over, to be honest. Now that it's out in the open, we can stop beinf extra-careful about what we say to our family.

Okay, I have a client coming soon, so I'll check out for now. Have fun ladies!
