Hello girlies!
Miracle!
Oh, please don't start naming personal-forgetting "Sophies"! Gah!!!!
So, what decorations will you make tonight? Sounds like such a fun night! We usually spend our Friday nights taking it easy and renting a DVD. We're slowly going through the last season of Desperate Housewives... we both love that series! And we'll also go to the vet tonight for the annual visit (ouch wallet!) for our cat Moïra and our girl Daria. We'll also bring our boy, beacause I found the YUCKIEST pus on the tip of his penis this week... We have no idea what that was... it was creamy, ivory... his penis was in, so it was in the foreskin... go figure, we didn't know if it was an infection or... sperm? Really weird. Never reappeared during the rest of the week. Weird weird weird.. And of course everyone will have their claws cut, so no more noise in the house! LOL sometimes it's SO SCARY.... LOL they cut it really nicely short, and then the dogs make NO NOISE at all when they walk around. I swear it takes me a few heart attacks to get used to it... you mind your own business and then turn around and SURPRISE! the dog is right there!
Ah, Miracle, lol, I can see you're one hen mommy as we say here! A very protective mama with her furbabies!

Oh, I can talk, they melt my heart each time they look at me.
Hey Angie! Good to have you around! I LOVE the idea of opening a dog hotel!!! We played with it for a while ourselves... now that people are working more and more hours, and that the number of stay-at-home moms is decreasing, there is a real need for that kind of service. Location is indeed the key my dear, and that field looks perfect! If you want, I could give you the number of the kennel we go to. I mean, she is a very successful business owner, and I'm sure she could give you appropriate advice. It's not like you'll steal her profits!

She doesn,t have a website, unfortunately...
But in addition to being a hotel, she also offers, you know, spa services for your animals. Which is a plus, because sometimes when we leave the dogs there, we ask them to cut their claws. They have a separate house for the cats, and another one for the dogs, far away down the field. There is a first room when you come in; that where they store the dog's food and toys and such. Then you open another door and the boxes are there. They have three walls and a fenced door; the walls are quite high, 6 feet or so, but they don't reach to the ceiling so the dogs don't feel so caged in. At the end of that room, there's a door that leads to a corridor of fences. Those lead to open fields, delimited by high fences that the dogs can't jump. And they pair the dogs that way, two by two, and they let them out to play and poop and whatnot three times an hour, and half an hour before bedtime. Believe me, the dogs have so much fun socializing that they miss us, but they're not traumatized at all.
My husband says that, should he change his career or quit his job or if the research center closes, he would consider running a shelter/hotel like that with me. We'd LOVE it! You should really start calculating and make a business plan... I'm sure your husband would feel more comfortable if you presented the idea with a clear plan...
But you're right, either way, it's fun to think about it!
Okay ladies! Time for me to work a little before a meeting at 2pm! Take care!
